Hey! I've done virtually no bracelet talking at all here today and my posts are nice and long...plenty there to read that has nothing to do with bracelets. Jeannie, I'll post some luscious Jude pics for you when I come back... I think I smell the distinct aroma of charred hamburger wafting it's way up here... that means the boy's dinner is done!

BTW...thank you BETH for noticing my Minnie story... at least someone finally did... it's such a bummer being ignored. Minnie is a rat terrier mix... cutest little sweetie pie you ever did see.

I've been scrapbooking for 3.5 years now - they aren't fantastic or anything but they are a labor of love for my kids. I do all of DS's scouting events (will soon start a fishing and hunting one for him and DH) - I have six albums done for him; and I have 5 albums for DD's cheerleading, dance and high school life.

I need to start both kids' baby until now albums and I have never scrapped any of our vacations.......

I started about 3.5 years ago too....but haven't done any in about 2 years. I NEED to get them out. I started with the baby pictures....maybe that's my mistake. Maybe I should do some Disney ones!!

Beth.....tentative plans (and the countdown clock) say Nov. 2 for DL.....NO more Dec. vacations for me!!

The experts say to start out with the most recent photos and work your way back. Unfortunately I am a camera nut and take tons of photos - so I never get caught up.

I dropped DS off at Boy Scout Camp. Well..... I went with every intention of just dropping him off - but no other adults were there, so I had to stay until the Adult leaders showed up. It began to snow heavily, the wind picked up and I helped DS portage his gear across a bridge over a stream and up a giant trail path - 2 times. By the time I reached the campsite the second time, I was wheezing big time with my asthma. It's down into the teens with a windchill of 5º. I only had on jeans, gloves, hiking boots and a car coat. I found a hat on the 2nd trip from the car and shoved it on. Good thing - I got to leave 1 hour and 45 minutes later. I am still chilled! I am sooooooo happy that I'm not a Boy Scout - or a Dad!!

That ladybug charm is beautiful!! DD had a very rough year at HS last year - the Friday before Thanksgiving 2001, a classmate (and neighborhood girl) got hit by a car while crossing the street in town and died. On New Year's Day 2002, 4 classmates died in an automobile accident, on Feb. 8, 2002 one of DD's very dear friends and fellow cheerleader died of encephalitis; and then exactly 2 weeks later - 2 more classmates (one of them her old BF and still a best friend) died in another car wreck and the remaining 4 passengers had minor injuries.

DD's friend the cheerleader who died loved ladybugs and DD was a ladybug for the Halloween Parade in memory of her friend. (DD is on the HS dance line.) DD bought presents for 2 of her friends' family and visited both the families on Christmas Eve. She routinely calls and visits the families and sends cards.
