SERIOUSLY - has our family the 'Magic" to ourselves on 6th August 2011 Med cruise???

Just catching up.... been very busy over the past few days, but I am finished with university now! Just graduation next week! :)

I am about to send you a PM with my email address Jude, for the fish extender swap. :) I am totally happy to have a set day to deliver my gifts, and I really don't mind what day I am on. :)

Also, can you help. I joined this site a few years ago and remember seeing a forum where a fellow member helped design and make the decor for your stateroom doors. I know how to print things from a pc but I have no idea how personalise images etc. Can anyone help! I am finding it really hard to do and I am running out of time!
I am soooooo excited as this is the first time I would have done anything like this. We have cruised 4 times with Disney but I had never heard of these sites before.
What info do you need to know? Stateroom number? And what do I need to know.

Couple of things I want to sort out for us all. One of you had PM'd me to ask were we doing a gift a day for each stateroom or exchanging gifts on a specific day - if you know what I mean.......

I know our group is small but I'm not sure if any of us have the space or resources to plan to bring gifts for each of the staterooms participating every single day. I have thought we would do for everyone in each stateroom once in the cruise. Would it be good to say, for example, we distributed on Sun, Florida Mom did Mon, someone did Tue etc etc etc. That way we get gifts every day and only have to deliver once. Theres a temptation for everyone to want to give them out the first day to free up space but then theres a chance we'd get all our surprises over at once.

Would people generally be happy to deliver gifts on the day they were given so it would be spread out? Did anyone assume we would deliver to every other family every day or are you all happy to exchange with each stateroom just once?

Does any of that make sense at all?

Please please let me know.........I think I might have confused everyone!!!

Your proposed plan is exactly what I presumed we would do: each family is assigned one day of the cruise to deliver gifts to all the other staterooms participating in the FE exchange. With 6 of us that works out perfectly. I'm good with any day you assign.

Welcome Melody! Glad you are joining our cruise. Glad you are going to participate also in the FE extender gifts. I think that makes 7 staterooms participating.

Please tell us about your group. Who are you traveling with?

There are a few great places to get images for your stateroom door. I print mine out on magnetic printer paper and then cut them out.

Hi Jude and everyone,

I just looked at my Disney Magic Personal Navigator from a couple years ago... It looks like from first boarding to 3:30 was all open houses in the kids areas, registration for various things, pool time and I remember the buffet and also the snack bar (with those fabulous french fries) :cheer2: were both open.

From 3:30 to 4:00 all services close so everyone can prep for the Mandatory Boat Drill (FYI, in old sea terms, it used to be called a "ship's muster" or "mustering") which starts at 4:00pm and lasts maybe 15 minutes. After that the Sail Away Party is on board deck at 4:30pm! It also noted that the kid's programs have Welcome Aboard parties -- the younger kids around 7:30 and the tweens/teens was later. Some things may have been changed by now and this isn't the Caribbean, of course!

So even though we're not doing the FE, could I still come and meet you all?!?

So Roberta are you thinking maybe at or after the sail away party? We could plan to meet at the goofy pool I think it is?

And a big Disney Magic welcome to you. I'm trying to catch up on the thread as I havent been online for a couple of days. Welcome to our FE list. I will add your name and get you the details sent - I have to check it before I send it, and i have to get the girls to be, so it will be later on tonight before it is sent.

I see FloridaMom3461 has given you some places to check out signs - see how you get on - you should be able to get what you are looking for.

Who all are you travelling with? And this is your 5th cruise........its only our second but we are soooo looking forward to it. Have you been in the Med before? That was our first cruise last year. Let me know your stateroom number and who all is in your group - names, ages, genders etc - I will add you to the list - that will make 7 groups, and I'll assign everyone a day when I know what everyones preferences are (if any). Can you send me your email address by PM too?

Hi everyone! My family (me, DH, DD, DS) and various relatives (DH's parents, aunt, uncle, cousin & his fiancee) will be on this cruise. I can't believe we only have about 3 weeks left to go!! And I still have so much planning to do, not to mention packing :scared1:

Has anyone received their cruise documents yet (info book, luggage tags etc)? It seemed like I got it at least a month in advance of my April cruise but haven't seen anything so far for this cruise. We did book through AAA this time though so will everything go to them first or will Disney just send it directly to us? :confused3

Welcome! I think we received ours over two weeks ago. There was a mail strike here in Canada, so we received them by courier. My parents even received them before us.

The Docs say that the information contained was as of June 22nd. And from what I believe they print the whole cruise at one time. So yours should of been printed when ours was. I would check with Disney direct and see what happened to yours.

I am waiting on our travel agent to confirm our Stateroom credits....they said they send out notice a month out of cruise....but I haven't seen anything yet!

Right, finally caught up with the thread! The sailing day sounds good as an idea although there seems to be some confusion over what time we can actually meet. My other suggestion is that we meet up on the day at sea. We know we will all be on board that day and would be easy to find a time/place. The only problem is that it is towards the end of the cruise.

Someone was asking about signs for the doors. I am on my summer vacation now so I am happy to design a special med cruise logo for everyone to put on their doors. Would anyone be interested?
