When is everyone arriving in barcelona? We depart Maryland on August 3rd and arrive in Barcelona on August 4th. We have been doing a lot of research on things to see and do while in the city. The part that makes me most nervous is all of the reports of pick pocketing. While I realize it is everywhere, I've heard from many people that it is heavy in Barcelona. Any thoughts?

We have booked our flights now - arriving on August 3rd in the evening, and staying until the 15th! Need to book our hotel now! We are planning on doing the Hop on Hop off bus on our first full day there.

If you are planning on going to the Vatican (on your own) while in Rome - the prepurchase tickets opened up today for the "skip the line" & official tour tickets at the vaticans site.

We arrive on the 5th so only 24 hours or so to see Barcelona. I booked a hotel supposedly near the main sights and we just plan to do a walking tour on our own.

This will be the 5th time we have been on the magic, and we will be staying in the same suite we had at new year, when the magic met the dream in the middle of the ocean.

I have been taking names and making a list of those who wish to participate in the FE exhange the week of our cruise - please see the previous post. I would love you to join us if you want. I posted early on in the thread explaining a bit about an FE exchange to someone who had enquired. Seeing you have sailed a number of times before I'm sure you are au fait with it. I bought my actual Fish Extender from an ebay seller called Gradysmommy. She does them with different numbers of pockets and names. I have to say her work is perfection and I knew when I was buying it that I'd use it on more than 1 cruise so it would be money well spent. If you go back to early in the thread I think I put on some photos of our stateroom door and fish extender.

For the dis-signs for the door I posted some requests on the creative threads of the Dis website. The dis-signers are great about coming back to you with personalised signs - just be careful to read their posting rules as some do not want you to quote their images, just give its jpeg number. Let me go check out where exactly to find them and try another posting to explain what I mean!! Sorry, I'm not particularly technical!!

There is a section of the thread called Creative Disigns where graphic disigners will take your request for them to personalise for you one of their graphics. There are threads my Jordak, Marion, Scoobyx3 and more. I just had a flick through them to find designs I liked then requested them personalised for my girls and myself. Like I said just pay attention to each threads posting instructions. Any trouble get back to me and also let me know if you can search and find Gradysmommy on ebay and if you want to join our FE exchange - soo many questions, I'm sorry!

Welcome Melodyella!

MrsMac is organizing our Fish Extender group so make sure to sign up with her! The more the merrier! I had my my mum make our FE - I gave her some pictures and these instructions I found online: http://www.scrappingthemagic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2739 I know that I have also seen no-sew version of the pattern on this board.

In terms of decorations for the staterooms, I did a search on these boards to find some specific graphics. There are many different threads. A group thread that I found useful was: http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=105 Hopefully, it will help you out.

I also googled disney font and was able to download that as well.

At my local dollar store they had the magnetic backings so that we can attach our graphics to our door. (and Surprise my Mum in the adjoining room, whose b-day is on the boat, with a Birthday door) It turned out to be a lot cheaper that going with the Avery or stationery store paper.

Hope this gets you on the right path!

Yay, glad you got them! What time did you go with?...we um'd and ah'd over what time to book. In the end we choose 11:00 without a tour. I have been before and I am not sure my DH & DS are going to be awe struck after the first hour or so. So I making a plan to hit the highlights so that they appreciate the intensity of the vatican but don't get bored. We also have a 3 hour walking tour booked (with BA) at 2:00pm that we are going to meet up with - so I think our timing will be okay and it won't be too stressful on my boys...lol.

Next tickets to watch for is the Leaning Tower.....I'll put up the link and reminder when that becomes due!

Whether or not you dress up, in my opinion, Pirate Night is tons of fun. We are planning to halfway dress-up. I have some pirate jewelry and scarves for example that I've used for other cruises. My DD is very excited and wants to dress up as the little girl pirate from Jake and the Neverland Pirate.

We're doing a tour with Rome In Limo and they had suggested we get the 2pm vatican tickets so that's what I did. We've never been to Rome before and I am really excited about it. We also splurged on a vatican tour guide.

Really excited - the cruise is getting so much closer now! We booked our hotel for the 3 nights before our cruise the other day - we were able to get a reasonably priced hotel on Las Ramblas, which I am really pleased about as it will making our touring easier and it is close to the port. I think I have decided what to give in the fish extender swap - just need to get on with it now!
