My work switched to group health so I could no longer go to my old doctor because she wasn't covered under my insurance anymore.
Anyhow I've been real sick
coughing for almost 10 days so I decided to make a doctors appointment. This specific doctor is new to the clinic and to this state, as this is what was said in his bio that they give to all the clients. I go in, the nurse comes in, takes my vital signs and leaves. so far so good. Now,this is what I have a concern about, I tell him what's been going on and on top of my tank top, he places the stethiscope on my breast, just above the nipple and on all sides, then on my back and then back to the middle of my chest then does the other one like this too. I was thinking, "aren't you supposed to be listening to my lungs, which are not located on or in my breast to see if there is any weezing since I just told you that I've been coughing for 10 days?" I'm not accusing him of anything. I've NEVER had any doctor place a stethiscope when they were trying to listen to my lungs or heart on my breast before. Near the breast yes, but never on the breast like that before. Do I need to be worried or is this normal? If this just sounds crazy to you, then just tell me to not worry. I'm just a little concerned
please help! Need and would very much appericate all your opinions! Thanks
