We found this hotels for $35 a night tax and everything. Would you recommend this hotel for a quick stay before we check into BCV?

So I've stayed at Seralago once, with my dad (who by the way loved this hotel at one point). It's not a bad hotel at all... and, their breakfast is pretty good (I think its still free with a suite).

If you want luxury, this is certainly not it. It is on the Kissimmee strip, not terribly far from a Disney maingate entrance. I think it took us like 20 min to get to the parking lots.

I stayed in a suite there, so I don't know about the reg rooms, but I would equate the bedroom with a value resort room.

I would def stay there a night or two again... especially at $35!

I stayed in a regular room twice before. The first time, the room was fine. Just a regular hotel room. The second time, the A/C leaked and the floor was squishy-squishy wet. And the restaurant was AWFUL, service and food. This was a couple of years ago, so things may have changed. But I just can't stay there anymore.

I know alot of people that stay there, due to the fact its next too Old Town and they love the car show on Friday and Saturday nights.Never heard no complaints from them..

Been there.

BAD: I rate the regular rooms ($35) as a dump, personally. Nasty odor from carpet, stains on the linens, dirty walls .. and very small rooms. A/C barely worked and it was Dec when I was there. I'm sure in July/Aug it gets cooking in there. Exterior entry to rooms which often means noise.

GOOD: But, we reserved the rooms at a rate of less than $50 a night on the week of Xmas-New Years about 2 weeks in advance ... when other hotels in the area were at least triple that and all the Diz resorts were 100% booked up. So, it was a place to lay the head. The shower/tub had recently been redone with a "Bath fitter" overlay meaning it was pretty clean.

Pool, small playground, and hot tub are fine. Pool is actually quite large. Plenty of seating around it. Front desk staff were kind. Parking was easy and free. Good location for those with rental car or driving in. Easy access to all Diz parks, Sea World, Universal, and the airport. Old Town is walking distance .. actually pretty much right next door .... and it actually quaint and cute and fun at times. You can walk to places like Red Lobster and other easy and good food areas. Outlets just up the street (must drive to them but just a 4-6 min drive or less).

We have stayed at Seralago at the beginning and end of our last 2 trips. For the most part, it was a nice enough place. Nothing fancy. We had a kids suite, which included a queen bed, and a separate sleeping/bunk area for the kids, which they really enjoyed.

Last time, on our last night, when we checked in, we were told they didn't have the 2-room suite available that we had reserved. They tried to give us 2 adjoining rooms, but with kids, we didn't want to do that. They found a kids suite that was open, so we took that room, but I was disappointed they didn't offer a price adjustment - just a free breakfast that we would have received anyway for booking the suite.

Although this is of no fault of the hotel, it was still scary. There is a little playground area, with sand under the play equipment. My kids were playing in there, and I was sitting on a bench watching. My DD comes running over to me with something she found in the sand. It was a used needle! I immediately told them we were leaving, and had them both wash their hands right away. I brought the needle to the front desk and made the suggestion they put disposal boxes around so people don't drop their needles on the ground. Thankfully DD didn't get "stuck" by the needle, but just happened to see it in the sand. Ugh!

After we got home from our trip, I did email the manager at Seralago. He mailed us a certificate for one free night, and did offer his apology for the needle DD found. I felt that was a fair offer.

Can tell me where you found this rate? We are looking to book a room for one night this weekend and this may be just the ticket :thumbsup2

We have stayed there. It was the Holiday Inn Maingate East until a few years ago. The old Travelodge across the street is now the Holiday Inn MGE.
The Seralago has some nice rooms that have been renovated and some dated ones, but all are clean and much better than you would get elsewhere for that amount. The pool areas are much better than what you would expect at this price. Go to tripadvisor dot com and read recent reviews.
Other than location, I could compare it to the All Star resorts other than the rooms are bigger and you get a microwave/fridge.

I ended up here once after a Hotwire purchase and was not impressed. It felt unsafe to me and was dirty. You definitly get what you pay for and the reduced rate is a reflection of the quality.

Personally I would much rather soend a few more bucks per night and get a cleaner, bigger room. Basically, it is a $35 a night room. You get what you pay for.

For one night it's manageable. Good thing you aren't staying there for your entire trip
