September Weather

We are planning a Disneyland trip for the week of September 16th of this year. I was wondering what the weather was like at Disneyland that time of year. I know it's early to start planning but I want to give myself several months to watch for sales on the things we will need. I am assuming that it will be 80's so we'll wear sandals and shorts and then maybe in the evening put on pants and a light sweatshirt. Does this sound about right? Should I be prepared for temperatures closer to 100? I have me, a husband, and two toddler girls to pack for.

Your average highs at DL during the afternoon at DL are going to be in the mid-70's in September (and it's not a humid heat). The lows will be low to mid-60's. One thing I have noticed since moving here to SoCal a few years ago is that it takes a while to warm up, but once the sun goes down, it can get cool quickly, so I like to dress in layers when I go to the parks. I always bring a hoodie because the mornings in the park are cool, as are the evenings.

I agree with your assessment. We did around that time in 2009. We wore shorts and tshirts in the morning, with a light sweatshirt. And changed into jeans in the evening.

I agree. We've been in Sept 2 times, and experienced 90+ degree days on both trips, so make sure you're prepared for possible hot days. But a while after the sun goes down, a sweatshirt is nice.
