To all of you out there who have been to WDW in September..... how likely is it that it will rain everyday  We will be there 9/18-9/25. I have never been to Florida in September but have heard to expect lots of rain. :(
Thanks:Pinkbounc

I have been to WDW in Septemeber and it never rained until the last day and we were at the airport anyway! Don't worry! I'm sure it'll be fine!! I'll be there 9/22-9/29!

Last year we had showers of and on, we would be in one park and heard on the bus back to the resort others that had been in another park during the day, and it rained there but not where we were. This happened a couple of times...just weird. We did get rained on ourselves one day but other then that, that was it. We went August 29 - September 4. I'm so ready for vacation that I don't care if it rains of not LOL, but hoping it won't, not all the time were there!!:)

I've gone in September for five years now - combined I've put on a poncho maybe three times. Don't worry - just go and have fun!

(of course, I think a poncho in the rain is fun) ;)

We've been in late Sept/early Oct. and also early August. From what I remember, it rained more in early August.

Hope this helps.

Been in September a few times and got more rain that I wanted, not just showers. It mostly depends where the hurricanes and tropical depressions are, which will affect your weather. All you can do is keep an eye on the weather to see what's going on out in the Atlantic.

We went in 2001, from 9/23-9/28(left early on the 29th). We only had 1 morning with showers but it cleared up by mid morning.

Yes it is very hit and miss type showers too, might be pouring in AK..which it did on us, and we went over to Mk and it had not rained a drop!!! It does not rain everyday but be prepared as it could rain anytime with higher heat and humidity still. Some trips we have had afternoon showers everyday, other trips of a week or longer we only got rain one day..so it is not something that happens everyday....:sunny:

We were in Orlando for 11 days last Sept. and it only rained on our second night there and then a brief shower the morning we were leaving. We only used our 89-cent rain ponchos from Wal-Mart once--that was when we wanted to sit on the curb for the parade and there was something sticky on the ground!

The days were hot and humid but we're from NC and we're used to it.

Have a great time!

Don't be fooled by the "it never rains much" myth! We went last Sept. and it rained every day. Most days only for a short while, but on 2 days it rained. And rained. And continued to rain forever. Did you know the AK has spots that will have water more than 6" deep when it rains that much? We tried to make the most of our day at the AK, but we were so soaked it was miserable. Then again it poured when we went to the AK in May this year, so IME, it always rains at the AK!

I agree with dijid, last year when we went, it actually became dark midday and didn't stop raining until the next morning! I think that was a first for us. We were on the monorail to Epcot when it began to pour (I wanted lunch at the buffet in Germany...MMMmmm). We had to run to the boats from the monorail, and then run from the boats to eat. We were soaked, but it was a memory!

went last year from Sept 23rd to the 28th and it rained everyday Usually around 1 and wouldn't last longer the 10 minutes. My friend went the week before me and they had no rain. Its hit or miss. Just expect it to rain and bring a poncho. It lears up just as fast as it started.

I would be prepared for afternoon showers. That is the tail end of the rainy season, but best to be prepared than caught unaware. This year has been wetter than unsual (Tampa is about 16" ahead on rain for the year thus far). The showers are caused by the East Coast Seabreeze and the West Coast Seabreeze meeting in the middle. Usually that is the later part of the day, but depending on if there is a front coming thru or soemthing like that, the pattern could be reversed and rain in the morning. Unless something else is going on with the weather (a front, tropical system, etc.), the regular afternoon thunderstorms are not an all day thing. By late September they have tapered off and you should be fine. When they say scattered or isolated showers here, they mean it. It could pour on you, and not be raining at all literally across the street. Just bring a poncho and enjoy yourself. And be aware of the weather because the rain isn't the problem, it is the lightning that you need to worry about. That is a great time to come down here. We are going to be at WDW the 1st 2 weeks of Sept. and aren't worried about the rain (but then again we live here and are used to being aware of it). The good thing is, unless there is a front or tropical system, it doesn't rain all day here (like it does in other parts of the country), maybe a few hours and it clears up. Have fun!

Thanks everyone! Well, rain or no rain, we are very excited and will have fun no matter what :)
