We are trying to figure out when in either September or October is a good time to go... We are gonna stay at the Peacock Suites with there deal that they have going on... For 8 nights only $410 for sure worth it!

So when is a good time to go that most all schools in school?

I think that next Oct. might be better than this past Oct. UEA (10/1 & 10/2) & Gay Days will be early in the month. Columbus day will be 10/12. I might try and make it out the there the 3rd (full) week of Oct. 2009 (weekdays).

I agree, if you go in October, make sure it's the later part of the month and include weekdays (Mon-Wed) for lesser crowds. The Halloween parties will keep DLR hoppin on Thurs and Friday nights.

I recommend late September. October this past year was pretty crowded in general, especially when we went the 2nd week. September is probably the least crowded month of the year for DLR and late September is after HMH is open, which is a plus!

I was hoping to be there in oct if we can swing it but not sure when would be best either. UEA makes life crazy there...hmm.

I went in September this year and it was phenomenal. The weather was beautiful and in the 80s, hardly any crowds, and you could pretty much walk on most of the rides. The only ride we waited longer than... 5 min? for was Nemo.

We went Halloween week this year. It was more crowded than expected. The DLH was fully booked along with GCH, and PPH. I checked as my dd wanted to extend our 4 night trip and add 2 more nights, but it was solid, and the Mtot party was packed. I loved the decorations, but it was crowded, and guest service said it's getting worse every year now than before.

Hmmm so late september is better then? When was the first night for the MTOTP? I guess I can skip it until the kids are older if it is overly crowded...just would like a nice time to go with decent weather and moderate crowds.

If the decorations and hmh are important to you then I would maybe go the last week of sept? I think the decorations were up sept 26-ish this year...or hmh opened that day? I am not sure on the date. I am looking into that last week. If you dont care about hmh then mid sept is a great time...my bff usually goes then and says crowd levels are low :)
