September Hours Question

Disney is doing a good job right now taking the magic out of my planning god only knows what the discounts are going to look like for fall.

You are right. I forgot that Labour Day was super early in 2014. We always leave on the Monday, so I just missed out on that one. And now I remember that's why I had my hopes up so much last year because Labour Day was late and I thought I may luck out with a date the first week September. Regardless, I'm not banking on it this year.

We are going 9/10-9/18 and I was looking at the just released preliminary Sept hours. Every day of our trip there is no MSEP or Wishes. Is that likely to change?? Will they really not offer that at all for the whole week???

We are going 9/4-11th and I'm wondering the same thing.
Also, wondering.....how do these sites arrive at their "preliminary" Sept hours when the official WDW has not released any park hours or other details beyond 9/2 (as of this morning when I checked)?

Disney sends out a calendar to TAs (before published on their site) and they base it off that.

Just DH and I are going back in September (May with the whole family) and I've been on the fence about whether to go to WDW this (September) trip or not. We purchased season passes for US, but looking at the prices for 2 days for 2 of us at WDW, wow! I may just get the MNSSHP and just do the party night. Depends on how deep they cut whether I go at all.

As it stands, Wishes will only be on the 4th during our trip and not again for 19 days. (if I counted correctly) I can't even imagine the crowd for that showing on the 4th!!!!

I ended up moving our trip to those exact dates. That way we get 1 night with Wishes and MSEP and I'm definitely worried about the crowds that night too!

We're planning to go 9/9-9/18 and also notice no Wishes or MSEP!!! We were thinking of possibly moving our trip up a week so that we can at least get one night in with both shows, but we're holding off for now. We're used to MSEP only running on certain nights in Sept, but I couldn't imagine MK with no Wishes! REALLY hope this is updated soon and we get answers to whether or not they will be scheduled.

I know how you feel! About to start really planning our trip and all this uncertainty is really a bummer! Also very curious to see the fall discounts...wondering if they'll try and keep the free dining offer the same as the last one!

Us too.. I have Epcot planned for that day...then try to head to MK at like 8 or something.

Yep bad timing for sure! The 4th (our 1st full day) was supposed to be our AK day (for various reasons) but we surely want to see Rivers of Light and would have to skip out in order to hop to MK for the one and only showing of Wishes!?!?! I guess we'll hop back to AK on another night for RoL.
Not liking this with just days left til our ADR window opening! Too much uncertainty! Disney has made it so that you feel pressured to plan way in advance and then they pull stuff like this? I'm ok with planning ahead, but WDW....help us out here a bit!!!!

Light show on the water at the base of Tree of Life. Being described as similar to a combo of DL's "world of color" and DHS's Fantasmic. There is concept art out there if you google it. It's supposed to be starting soon.... on a recent dis-unplugged podcast 3rd week of April was mentioned.

I'm bummed about the September lack of MSEP and fireworks. We had planned to have dinner at California Grill our arrival night to celebrate dad's 70th bday...he requested this because he wanted to watch the fireworks...without them...that plan is out the window. We could move it to another night where there is fireworks, but that would be our only night to see MSEP. GRRRR.....

On the phone with WDW Guest Relations right now. ------

She put me on hold for the longest time then came back with this, "yes, the reason Wishes is not showing is that there are changes being made. We don't know what the changes are so we can't pass that information on to you but we can only confirm that this is the case."
"....changes being made" - that's an exact quote.
Here is the email addy she shared with me to pursue this further and/or voice displeasure at this uncertainty we have before us, given the closeness of our 180 day out ADR window opening. My frustration is Disney is asking us to plan pretty much our entire vacation before we step foot on property but yet they can't give us the tools to plan accordingly for our families.
