Just back from our Sept Contemporary Tower stay and the trip was great!!!! The lines really weren't long for a holiday weekend and yesterday there were almost NO lines at all at MK. The weather was HOT and HUMID-- pack extra shirts!!! It rained almost every evening except one.
Our reveiw of the CR is mixed. We stayed on the 8th floor with a MK view, we watched the fireworks every night from the balcony!!! The CR has two things that can't be beat: the location and the view. Everything else was not up to disney standards in our opinion. We found the rooms to be old, rundown, dirty and beat up-- thank goodness they are remolding! I went down twice to the front desk to complain about housekeeping (we are not complainers- we have never complained before, we don't even send food back when we go out to eat- so this was a big thing for us to complain once let alone twice) This was our 5th stay at a disney resort (we've stay at value, mod and deluxe) and it was our least favorite resort by far. After staying at other disney resorts we were let down by the lack of themeing at the CR and we didn't realize what a busy street it is outside. We found the pool to be not very young kid friendly-- we have a 1 and 4 year old-- our 4yo is a great swimmer but he couldn't go anywhere because the pool was too deep for him to touch bottom and the kids fountain area was exciting for about 2 minutes for the both of them. And the pool was NOT busy at all and it was very dirty-- both the fountain area and main pool bottom were full of sand and leaves everyday. My son did love the slide though!!
Hope our experience was an unusual one and everyone has better luck!

Hi!!!

They are the paint chips/swatches from the Disney Paint line. The lime green Mickey is called "Sonic Boom" if I remember correctly. Let me know if you have a hard time finding them and I will try to explain it better.

I'm sorry you had a not so great experience at The Contemporary. We felt this same way when we stayed in one of the wing rooms, but we were hoping that staying in the tower would be better.

We didn't have a negative experience with the pool like you did though, but it was also 4 years ago when we stayed there. The pool was clean for us and I agree with it not being the most little child friendly. My DD does like the slide too and she's looking forward to it.

I'll have to write back after my trip and let you know how it was for us.
