September Check-in - September has Arrived!

I have been looking at photo pass plus...is it worth it?

For us, we're doing it and I think it will be worth it for many reasons. We can actually get photos with the entire family in them instead of me taking them and not being in any of them as DH doesn't/won't take photos. You can get your ride photos on them. You can use them at your character meals for your photos and you can use them at the character meet and greets. And then anytime you randomly see a photog around the park, ask for photos to get added to it.

So for us I think that we'll get our moneys worth-especially since we will be ordering it early to get the $30 discount.

Quickie trip for a local family - we'll hit Disneyland Park on September 20th and we'll stay overnight at the Best Western Park Place Inn and Mini Suites just so we don't have to drive back to L.A. until September 21st.

Getting itchy because we don't have time for CA this trip and it's over a year since I've been there...

Feels weird not staying in a Disney hotel but we just did 9 days in WDW in June and our wallet needs a bit of a break...

Will probably spend some time in DTD...

I like that Disney Crowd Forecaster! It has our arrival day and the next day as 'Hey It's Allright" and then three days of "Ghost Town". I like Ghost Town if it's accurate and I can get around a bit easier and the lines are a bit shorter.

We did photo pass last visit in 2010 it does sound like the photo plus is well worth the price. Do you know what ride photos are part of the plus? it says "select" and I was uncertain. :)

Good question. I'm not totally sure and didn't think much about it as there aren't many rides with photos that we'll be doing with DS (probably just RSR and maybe Splash Mountain). There's got to be a thread here somewhere that says which ones are included and if there are some that aren't. Same as the character meals. Doesn't it say that only some places are included?

Yes it does...it is vague about both :) I guess if nothing else I will post the answer after we go!

I found this in the Photopass Superthread. It was on the first page so hopefully the info hasn't changed in further pages (I don't have the time right now to read it all).

Ride photos: Photos taken on certain rides by Disney. At this stage these are only offered on: Space Mountain, Tower of Terror, Splash Mountain, California Screamin' and Radiator Springs Racers. These photos can be purchased after your ride, and usually cost $14.95 each.

Character Meal Photos: The photo taken at the beginning of your character meal, usually with a character. The CM's will come around and ask if you would like to purchase a package of these photos in a cardboard 'frame'. These usually cost $39.95. Photos are taken at: Goofy's Kitchen, Ariels Grotto, Minnie And Friends, and Surfs Up.

Here is the thread with all the info if you want to check it out for yourself:

Thanks! I should have known there would be a superthread for it!

It looks so great! Going to order mine! :tinker:

We (Me, my wife, Daughter 4, and son 1 1/2) will be driving from Oregon and staying at the DLH from 9/14-9/18 (i think is the days, something close to that id have to check our booking again).
Anyways, this is our first trip to Disneyland and we are already so excited, super glad I found this forum!

I'm so excited!! I called to make a payment on our trip, and inquired about the new refurbished rooms at the Disneyland Hotel, and was told they had a deluxe view room for my dates, and I was able to switch! The best part is that after talking to the wonderful CM who booked it, she upgraded our hotel at no additional charge!! What a wonderful way to be welcomed to Disneyland!

Anybody else experience fun upgrades?

Well, you 'll need to take me off the September list. We are combining a fall 2014 and spring 2015 trip into one trip in February.

But, it is because we'll go to Hawaii in Oct 2015 instead of our regular fall DL trip!!

We told the kids, 2 Dl trips = 1 Hawaii trip. Rather than skip DL entirely next year, we will go earlier than usual.

New experience. Kids won't be able to swim, but it'll certainly be warmer than Chicagoland in February!!!

We are still coming in September and staying at DLH....but in-laws spring for a 2-BR suite, AND we are coming from the 4th-7th now...so added a day!

WOOHOO! :dance3:

You may get some nice days in February.....don't count out swimming!! We were there this Feb. and did hang at the pool a few times. Pack those swim suits!

We just called and extended our passes a day! We will be at the DLH from Sept 14-18 w/5day PH Passes!
This weekend we are going to figure out our reservations that we need to make and make sure everything is in order! Soooooo excited!

Madasax12 how exciting!

I saw the countdown on your post and just realized that I can make reservations (we leave the day before you do)!! Wow. It just got real :cool1:

Discounts for Disneyland Hotel? Do they ever offer discounts?

We're booked at HoJo, but I'd happily switch if we could get a good discount...

I'll be there Sept 14-19 at Villas at Grand Californian.

I go to WDW a lot, and to DLR every other year. This time a week later than usual. Looks like I'll get to see Haunted Mansion with Halloween overlay this time. In the past, it's always been closed when I'm there.

Now just waiting for the park hours and show/parade/world of color/fantasmic times to come out so I can decide on my dining reservations. Right now, I'm kind of assuming that Fantasmic and fireworks might only be on that Sunday night, but World of Color should be every night.
