September and Love Bugs?

Not sure where to post this one. When, in September, are the bugs the worst?
We will be down Sept 21-25, are they subsiding by then?

They can be bad all month. They are totally harmless, just plentiful. They are usually flying around but be careful anytime you sit down (outside or inside). You could be squishing a couple (there are always two, hence the name) and they will show up nicely for the rest of the day on the seat of your pants.

If you are driving, be prepared. You might have to get a car wash (or two) while there.

BTW - they are also out in May as well.

I have been so many times at the end of September and i have never experienced a problem with bugs.

I remember the Love Bugs being in April/May.

During September of last year, I had a terrible time trying to mow my yard. So many lovebugs would come out of the grass that I had a hard time breathing. They were everywhere in the air. No problem this year. I hired someone to mow my yard!
