During the month of October, there are tons of free activities for kids in San Diego and the surrounding area. All require one adult purchase per free child.

Thanks for sharing this What a lot of great deals... fantastic museums (Ruben H Fleet Science Center, Museum of Man), the zoos (both locations) and a few options at Sea World... plus dozens and dozens of places where Kids Eat FREE!

Gotta check and see if this is an annual occurance. Maybe next October we'll see about vacationing in SD and celebrating my dad's 92nd bday!

Thanks Deb! That's so cool!!! Yes, it's a shame we won't hear from John Lasseter, but these guys are certainly no consolation prize! I can't wait to hear them speak!

Of course it will be dependent on how my Mother in law does over the next 4 weeks, but her surgery was successful and she is doing well. One day at a time, or as a friend would say "we plan and God laughs".
Hopefully I will get to meet all of you! It should be a great cruise.

So thankful to hear your MIL is doing better. We are so hoping to see you. DD has been practicing her Boston accent... she can't wait for us to "Pahk the Kaa by the haaba" Luckily she doesn't try to say "pass me a fork and knife". That can come out really bad when my MIL says it in Oregon. We finally re-trained her to say utensils... much safer

Hello all,

Just wanted to pop in and say hello. Charly (our daughter) had surgery on Monday, it was a little unexpected but long story short she now has a new set of tubes and her adenoids have been removed all in all she is doing well...

I have a question is anyone staying near Disney? If so what are you doing for transport to the pier?
Does anyone know if there is a rental car location at San Pedro pier?
As you can tell we are still trying to figure out the hotel/transportation.

So excited, see you all in 31 days ;-).
