Can we buy the standard Mouse Ears (like the ones you can get in the parks) on the cruise? Or should I buy them ahead? Thanks!

I can't quite remember, but I have a feeling they were all cruise themed. There were definitely ones with captain's hats and I bought a pair of Mexico ears which they may or may not have still. I'm hoping there will be some neat exclusive Pixar cruise items in the shops, fingers crossed!

Ooooooh ... Pixar goodies
On our previous cruises they have had Pirate Mickey, Pirate Minnie and Pirate Goofy hats :-)

I'm pondering wearing my pirate hat on the airplane :lmao:

I might end up wearing mine when I walk on board. I ordered a hat box and was planning to carry it on in that. I can't put it in my suitcase or it will get crushed.

Do it! On our cruise in 08 I carried my mickey plush onboard, I had him wearing my ears so that they wouldn't get crushed. The cast member waiting to announce us onboard said that he was surprised that never seen anyone do that before, and then claimed (in a brilliantly dramatic voice) that it was a mutant because of its 4 ears! Needless to say, it was an awesome introduction to DCL! :rotfl2:

I was so excited to get my paperwork I didn't even read it! You'll find out soon! :thumbsup2

Thanks. I hope so.

Good to know they send out the docs even if you haven't got your room assignment yet, we were worried we'd be cutting it close. I empathize with you about the wait. I can't stand all this uncertainty!
.

Yes, I was worried about that too. We got our luggage tags with blanks so we can write in our room number once we get it.

We got our cruise docs yesterday too! I hope you hear about your room assignment soon. :)

Thanks!

That is cute! :thumbsup2

How many people are getting dressed up for pirate night?

My whole family is planning on dressing up. We already have costumes for all the kids and most of the adults just missing 2 at this point. We are all looking foward to it.

Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. I will keep updated with her progress. The next few weeks will be touch and go. If all goes well we will be doing some mad scrambling to get ready for the cruise. Keeping our fingers crossed and thinking positive thoughts.

I will keep her in my prayers.

We've been wating weeks and months to step on the Wonder. What is the first thing you'll do when you get on board? :cool1:

Get our bearings (as in, at least figure out where our room is) and then send the kids to the pool w/ hubby while I go to GS and book that special Tea for DS and I. Hopefully, I'll be able to drag the kids out of the pool in time for the meet up at the Promenade... if not, it'll be just me who goes. Our check in time isn't till 1pm so I'm a little worried about the timing of it all... There's somewhere we have to be at 4pm, right? For a safety drill?

Lol. When we left DL in 2010 my DD dared me to carry my Disney Build-a-Bear with my St Patricks day Mickey ears all through our flight and journey home. The staff at LAX just sort of smiled but the customs agent, with a straight face!, asked me where I had been!! I was dumbfounded but finally squeaked out that we'd been in Disneyland. Some people have no sense I humour!!

Straight to the strawberry soup in Parrot Cay. Do not pass go, do not collect $200.

Haha! I took that same mickey (ears and all) with me on the flight home too! It is a long way from Florida to NZ, and I don't the guy next to me was all too happy about it, but I was thankful to have a comfortable pillow for a change!

LOL, I wrote tea for DS and I... of course I have no problem w/ bringing a theoretical son to tea but my particular son couldn't be made to go there no matter what! Meant to say tea for DD and I. She doesn't know about it yet but anything involving something fancy and girly will thrill her to pieces.

Anyway, also forgot to say that I plan to get the kids wrist bands at the kids club asap (already signed them up online). Will try to do that in the terminal, even, if there's time. But I heard the club has an open house and we'd want to spend time in there too.

Goodness, I am a bit worried about the timing- if our scheduled time is 1pm, is it even realistic to think we can find our room, stop by the kids club to look around, get in some pool time, AND make it to the Promenade meet up by 3pm? (And while the kids are in the pool, I'd go to GS, which is probably over-run w/ people at that time, right? Just wanna make sure I don't miss that tea. Oh, and while I'm there, I'll also drop off two photo mats and pick up some comment cards cause I know I'll be having lots of stellar feedback).

Tea sounds fun princess:

Okay, I have been reading this thread for a while. We have been planning on taking this cruise for about a month when I discovered the $599 deal. We have been saving up since you have to pay in full with the deal and now, when I go to book I can find it on the "specials" page, but when I get to the cruise it costs $791!! NOT $599. I've clicked all the way through to the final booking page and there is nowhere that it even begins to say $599 plus yadda yadda yadda booking fees" or whatever. What am I doing wrong?? This trip is specially budgeted and we cant afford to pay that much more. Anybody have any ideas?
