September 29, 2007 - Magic

thank you for your response,i can't wait to meet everyone. My grandson is very shy, and this will be his time away from mom for a week.

Is it too late to join the club of people excited to go on this cruise? My husband (31), daughter (3), and I (30) recently purchased tickets to go on this cruise (we had been looking at other dates), and we are now very excited. We live in Brevard county and have annual passes to Disney World, we're very much a Disney family. This is our first cruise, though, and we're excited to get going!

Where is the Margarita Bar? When we go to Downtown Disney we are usually shopping and on the way to Pleasure Island for drinks and shows. We have never bought drinks at DD. Let me know how to find it.

Hi Jan ! The Margarita Bar is near the the kids' train ride in the Marketplace. If you walk out the back of the World Of Disney store (toward the lake) :

I think it's sort of in between Team Mickey and Once Upon a Toy store but towards the waterfront.

:welcome: Staci to our group !!!!

How old is your Grandson? My DD is very super friendly! And she gets along really well with boys because she's kind of like a tomboy. She will be a week shy of 4. Your Grandson will feel right at home in no time if they're close in age. She tends to mother the more shy kids in her day care, especially the boys!

We have Princesses, Cars and Disney Characters (Minnie, Mickey, Pluto, etc.) Let me know which one you want and your E-mail address and I'll E-mail it to you!

Thanks for offering! I PM'd you! :)

Welcome Staci! Did you get a Florida resident rate for this cruise? I am just wondering. It is definitely not a full ship yet, in fact when I checked yesterday the only category that is not available is 7.

No, they didn't have a Florida rate at the time we booked, at least that I could find. I did ask about it, though.

:grouphug: Welcome Staci and family!!

Another Florida Resident here hoping and wishing for a Fl. resident rate to come out, that would be so sweet! :wizard:

Is anyone have a b-day party onboard ? I know we have a couple of birthdays.
DH's birthday is Oct 7....so we'll be doing something during our last dinner. I mentioned this to the person booking our cruise. I'm hoping maybe our server will bring out a cupcake or something. I'm going to suprise my dh and decorate our cabin. But wasn't planning on anything other than that.

my grandaughter will turn 6 on the 11th, so the last sea night on the 4th, they are bringing out a cake at dinner for something special, then our door sign says Happy Birthday.:dance3: princess:

DD12 turning 13 on Oct. 7th. We ordered the decorated cabin through DCL and we are having the celebration cake on the last night of the cruise, on Saturday when we get back to port we are heading to Disney for birthday celebration at Chef Mickey's!

:bday: to all my fellow DISboarder's!!

Hi Staci! Congrats on your fist cruise! DH and I are also 31 and our DD just turned four. We took our first cruise last year (the trip report link is actually in my signature) and my 3 year old DD had the time of her life. The cruise is so much more laid back than the parks with just as much Disney Magic. :wizard:

My DD will turn 4 on October 1st while we're on our cruise. I actually plan to bring a PULL STRING pinata for her to give to the kids club counselor. I called and said they might allow it, so, I'm just taking a chance and bringing it anyway. DH and i plan to decorate our cabin the night before so that she wakes up to a "festive" room. This is her first birthday that's technically NOT a party, so we want to make it extra special for her.

DD will turn 4 about a week after the cruise. We're not having a party onboard for her but are going to ask for a b-day cake on our last night. I did find a Tinker Bell clip art to print out and make in to a magnet it says, "Today is my Very Merry Unbirthday." :cutie:
