September 29, 2007 - Magic

 Hi everyone, we're back. We went camping all weekend. Finally got settled in again. Thanks for letting me know about Maho Beach. We are definately goind there. Ragdoll won't because she said there"s signs warning the planes can cause injuy or death. I think it sounds like fun though!:woohoo: On St. Thomas we are doing Coral World on our own then going to Coki beach.

I would be more than happy to post all the info for the meets on my post on page 1, but I have no idea how. Maybe Mike can figure it out for me.

I will be looking for something for the pirate bags too. Anyone have ideas because I am very bad at these things. I am thinking I'll get glow bracelets?:confused3

We were able to get Palo brunch on day 6 but only for 2, I have been looking for 4 though. Hopefully something opens up. I also booked the Bannana boat and stingray excursions on CC.

Have a good day everyone!:)

Wow, I feel like I can't take off a few hrs to work b/c I'll miss too much from your posts! :rotfl2:

OK - Tanya: I'm keeping an eye open to see if something jumps out at me for the goody bags.

Hi Tracy! And Pauline! I'm Irene. :grouphug:

Don't remember who asked about tours (Pauline?) but (I forgot which is which) at one of the places I'm planning on doing the butterfly farm on our own (Jac - are you and your dd joining us?), it seems very easy and cheap to get to so not only will the excursion cost less but we'll have the flexibility to stay as long (or little) as we want. Think we're skipping stroller beach days except maybe for CC. At the other port we're going to do the monorail thing to the top of some peak where you have an awesome view. I think tix are ~$12pp, at the top they have some special birds that put on a little "show". After that we're going to take advantage of a fairly empty boat, we're keeping our excursions nice and light, dd's too little to really enjoy it and I don't need to see anything. If she's behaving well, I may leave her with dh on the ship and jet out for a quick little shopping spree.

Welcome back! Sue already updated her post, but if you ever want to update anything go to the original post and click the edit button (I think it's a pair of scissors) at the bottom of the post.

I'm not sure about the bags, trying to think of something that I can get in bulk and will fit easily in my luggage without taking up too much room and without a fear of spilling (ie. 50 little bubble bottles!). Maybe a snack like cookies? But then it can crush . . . . hmm, I'll just keep thinking!

Shannon,

I'm sure the children would love either one!

ibela,

I don't know if they are still making them but on our 11 night cruise someone found bags of M&Ms that had the pirates theme. These would travel easily for you.

Also, Oriental Trading Co has pirate pencils and the children liked those too.

There are some really neat, inexpensive things on their site.

Hey guys,

Don't forget that if you are a AAA plus or premium member, you can have them send you a travel guide and maps on the Caribbean for free.

All of these excursions sound great!!!! I really like the idea of going up a skyride to the top and seeing everything! For which island is that?

Zane: what site did you go to book a private tour? I'd like to do a private tour for both islands. And for CC, well.. we'll just be at the beach relaxing :beach:

Veronica: Ok, well we're just going to have to be dropped off at the port early so we can get an early boarding pass :thumbsup2 We're staying with my DH's cousin for a couple of days (we arrive thursday). We'll probably go to WDW on friday.

Does Palo have a better menu for brunch than dinner? Hopefully, we can do Palo on pirate night.

Pauline :hippie:

Hi Veronica! Thanks for the great pics. I think my DD is easing up to the idea. We'll see.

Yea.. I went to the website to book Palo.. but I'd have to wait until the 16th.. lol! I thought I missed the first day that we get to make ressies.. I mean for us newbies that is.

Did I read correctly that Palo is already almost booked or if not booked? What about pirate night? uuuuggghh.. my DH so wants to go to Palo.

Already beeen thinking about what to wear for the embarkation photos..

The brunch and high tea sell out the fastest mostly because they are only offered on sea days while the dinner is offered every night. If you are going for a dinner, there ought to be plenty of availibility left.

I'm so glad I am not the only one planning out the clothing for pictures. ;) Has anyone noticed Gymboree just released a nautical line for little girls. It is perfect for a Disney cruise! Here is a link to the entire line: http://www.gymbohaven.com/gymbohaven.htm. I am getting the sailor dress, anchor swimsuit and maybe a skort outfit. Not to mention that I already stocked up on Kelly's Kids natucal clothing this spring. I think now it's time to focus on shopping for me. ;)

Hey Veronica! So, I guess we'll head down to the DIS meet after the pool at 3:00pm. (GREAT! we'll have pool hair on our DIS meet pictures) hehehehe I can't wait for embarkation day!

Anyone else up for meeting us at the pool with our little ones?

I think I'm done clothes shopping for our trip. I'll just pack some coverups and shorts mostly and of course our formal / casual outfits for dinners. I'll bring 1 or 2 princess outfits for my DD. Hopefully, there will be enough room in our cabin.

I'll be sure to log on 1am EST to book Palo.

JAY:flower3: : you can add my(Pauline) age on the list... 34:scared1: my DH Joe 34 and Sarah's is correct 3 going on 4 princess: Thanks for the list! I'm looking forward to meeting you all!

Ok I found a few things for the goodie bags flower leis and green glow necklaces. Which one should I get?:confused3

I think either one would be great!

Here is what we have so far...
pirate fruit snacks
pirate bubbles
bouncy balls
pirate tattoos
pirate rubber duckies
pirate eye patches

Let me know if I missed anything..I am going to get a few more things for them just haven't decided for sure what..I am waiting to see what everyone else is doing so I don't duplicate.

The skyride is St.Thomas. I found a guy that comes highly recommended on cruise critic. His names is Beau Robinson and his company is called No Rush Tours. You might check out cruise critic they have great information on their ports of call boards.

I plan to take my son to the mickey pool as soon as we get done with lunch so hopefully I will see some of you there.

Wow! Lucky kids.. a DISNEY cruise and an awesome goody bag!!!! pirate:

Thanks for the suggestions! 50 bags of M & Ms may take up a bit of space and I don't really want to do pencils b/c I would hate one of the little ones to get hurt (ex. my kid) but I'm sure I'll stumble across something. I like things to just "come to me", maybe some Disney tatoos or . . . . I don't know, I think I saw Disney crayon boxes the other day, maybe that'll occupy the kids during dinner . . . ? I'll see if they're still around. Or maybe I'll just wait and see what everyone else is getting?

I think the monorail thing was in St. Thomas. And you can do that on your own, you can walk there from the boat.

Ooh - quitting time. Catch ya guys tomorrow!

MCraft17 - where do you live in KY? When are you flying out of Indy? We live in Ft Thomas and are flying out of Indy on Thursday evening. Wouldn't it be funny if we are on the same flight?

We thought about flying out on thursday but we are flying out early friday morning. We are staying at a hotel thursday night and doing the park and stay so we can leave our car there. We live in Louisville, we moved here about a year and a half ago from Florida.

ZaneAnthony I think I am going to bring stickers but not sure I will let you know.

Hi Irene :flower3:

I picked out the pirate duckies and the eyepatches from Orientaltrading.com

Pauline/Gr00vyChc :hippie:

I will also add something to the goody bag. Let me think about it and let you know.

Would it be possible for us to list everything that is being brought for goody bags to the first post as well. I would also like to add something but it might be easier to avoid duplication if there were a master list.

Maybe we could even add the logos I created to that post as well?

Thanks Sue!!

I think that's a great idea! I am getting confused myself trying to keep up with it. There are several things I have found on oriental trading so I am just waiting a little bit to see what everyone else decides on. It would be good if the pictures you made were there too. I want to make shirts with them! I also made the mickey shirts with the flour/water or glue. I will try to post pics of them later.
