Thank you to those that are planning the Halifax tour. It is a lot of work and I'm sure everyone appreciates it.

This appears to be the tour company servicing the cruise lines in Halifax. Coincidentally the day of their big grand opening was last Wed. 6/22/16 - the same day JQ was calling over there and managed to speak with a few people, incl. the Cruise Coordinator for the Port Authority who is also in charge of security. I love that they're not too busy to take your call. Halifax seems like a very welcoming and hospitable place.

OMG I Love this Guy!! I plan to check out all his videos this year. Esp. any near the port. Too bad we don't have more time to visit.

We did a very nice Gray Line tour in Charleston and Fort Sumter in May!

Bobbiwoz, I thought I signed up for the Candy Exchange but since I didn't please add me . I will be traveling with my Goddaughter, Gayle, who will participate too. With all these NJ DISers its going to be fun to come up with something wrapped thats not Salt Water Taffy. We are in Stateroom 2052.

Tinked, sorry if I missed you and Gayle, but it's fixed now! I found your post on page 10, where you talked about your unused Fish Extender. There you mention diabetes, is that something I should mention when I give out information? Now, does Gayle want to participate by also giving out? If so, I will list her and if we get enough participants for 2 groups, you will each be in a different group.

Isn't there a certain chocolate company with ties to Hackettstown? :)

Some general ideas about the candy exchange. It's organized to be fun and not stressful. We use Fish Extenders to give out the treats, and usually there's enough for the cabin to share, which is why I ask for how many folks are in the cabin. As far as how much to give, it is up to the givers.

Patricia lives in OK and I live in Ohio, so we each have chosen treats, which is why we each are listed.

I have a special little treat to give if there are children in your cabin, so if there are children please mention that.

I still have not gotten information from some interested people. Sign ups will end around August 15, and groups or the single group's information will be given out within a week.

Today we are heading north to visit Pit-in-Bay, an island in Lake Erie and home to Perry's International Peace Memorial. We've lived in Ohio for 23 years, and it's been on our list of must visits for a long time!

How is everyone?

Thanks! I hope to be there! :-)

I'll follow the planning because it's hard not to! We likely won't know if we're good to go until about 3 months out. That's what it's been in the past. It would be great if it was sooner though! :D

Will you be so n the cruise??

We were talking about lobster rolls awhile back. Had one yesterday in Put-in-Bay OH! Delicious! Looking forward to having Nova Scotia's version of the delicacy.

Gayle says she's ignoring the diabetes this trip. But we will participate as one so that we will be cutting down on the amount of candy we both eat. I live within two miles of a family-owned candy store that is fantastic but i'm not revealing any names. LOL. I usually give out large Hersey's bars with my tips since Hersey, PA is so close. Can't wait to be on the receiving end. Can't have too much chocolate. I don't live near Hackettstown, I'm a southern Jersey gal.

We do not have our Ohio house on the market at this time, but we really hope by this time next year our only residence will be in Cape May. We were both born in NJ, Tom in Trenton, me in Newark, so we are Jerseyans at heart!

We've enjoyed some Hershey treats in past exchanges.

I am so ready to be on a Disney cruise, so I am happy to see today is June 28th, 2 months from embarkation day!!

I know you're excited and I like how you condensed our wait time, but by my count, we still have 3 months to go.

Absolutely! I am goofing up quite a bit! Patricia's birthday is July 15, I sent her birthday card so it arrived before June 15.

Hope you had a great trip. Thanks for posting this. It's very helpful to us newcomers. We'll have an FE outside the door already so that will make things easy. I have a couple of ideas for what to exchange, but better get moving as the weeks seem to be flying by. July is here already.

I've been taking advantage of the fact that this cruise is easier to manage with just 1 port day but there are a ton of things on my to do list that I've been ignoring. still haven't decided on a pre-night stay. I keep hoping the rates with drop in NYC but nothing so far. I thought about staying around Newark which is much cheaper. Worst case, we'll drive in the day of. decisions.................decisions

As far as the exchange, it is helpful to print some information about the treats. The Internet is very helpful, and sometimes the small companies have a print out!

We had a beautiful day! The Peace refers to the long border between US and Canada!

Hope all the Silver folks were able to sign in at midnight. I was able to book the Peggy's Cove/Titanic tour. Could not check in until 9 AM. Then, later today, got the Travel Insurance, since we used a combo of points and Money for this trip.
Getting real!
