"Has anyone been packing?"
:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

DW has been sorting clothes for weeks.
Made lists of outfits plans for the whole family.
Made me get the Suitcases out tonight.
( I couldn't use my back as an excuse as I've been saying I felt good enough to play softball this weekend)

Does this mean you've "solved" your dilemma? lol

Hey, I'm going on a Disney cruise!

Got my documents last night - a little disconcerting: they were leaning against my front door when I got home around 8:30. Good thing my neighbor below moved out - I was jumping up and down for about 10 minutes! I think I have all of my forms filled out, but my suitcase is yet unpacked...I'll start on that next week, since I'll be helping my daughter move from her apartment into her house most of this weekend. I've got some sewing to do (us vertically challenged always have to hem things!)

Does anyone have a readable three day navigator they could email or fax to me? I tried downloading the one on this site but I could not read it. Thanks!

  Whooooooo Hoooooooooo!!!
Got our docs today. :Pinkbounc :bounce: :yay:

Now ya'll have to understand something bout l'il ol me. I am the proverbial "every duck has to be in it's exact place and in it's exact row" planner type person. So as to the question of packing....ummmmmmmmm....I began 2 weeks ago. :rotfl: :dance3: :rotfl2: Michael just shakes his head and mumbles sumtin bout "marrying a crazy lady" and lets me have my fun. :thumbsup2

Mickey4Diane...I am positive you will look maaaaaaaaaavalous in your costume. :woohoo:

WoW!!!! I'm sitting here staring at our docs with this humongus smile and telling myself "It's real.".

Yeeeeeeee Hawwwwwwwww we're going!!!

I can't wait to meet you all. :grouphug:

Could you maybe, somehow, some way, show a little more excitement? ;) Doc is the planner between the two of us. She has lists to make lists. And I've begun to find myself making more lists than I once did. But, she hasn't started packing yet. . .at least, not physically. Mentally, I'm sure she has every outfit chosen already. . .
Doc upon receiving the documents in the mail yesterday:  and :cheer2:and :yay:and :dance3:and even :dancer:. . .this one is me :dogdance:

Momsully,
I didn't really buy a pirate costume, it's more of stuff I found on the clearance rack at Ross'. I found a tierd crushed velvet and lace black full skirt, and then this blouse that has coins hanging off it...
Now I am second guessing it, perhaps opting for just a tropical shirt that night with black pants. I am afraid the late seating will have less dressers than the early seating, and I will stick out like a sore thumb!

Gotta tell ya - I think this outfit would be AWESOME! Totally great use of clearance racks - my kind of gal!!!! You should definately do this!

As for the back issue and softball - toally do the DOG! That's my new name for it! That was great advice!

As for packing...................

You all do realize you're going on a 3 day CRUISE! All you need is a bathing suit, a cover up for that suit, a pair of pants and two nice shirts......right???? You all know this right???????

3.gif

You will be amazed at how little you end up wearing. My kids, though, that was another matter altogether......... Over pack in that category.

It must be fall..... I have spotted antkim back on the boards!!!!

- Hey Girlfriend!!!!

Have a great weekend everyone!!!!

With age comes sage. . .ummm. . .ness. ;) Sometimes. Hey! I like that adage above, though: "Do the Dog!" I feel like a soft drink or something. . .:teeth:

Okay, okay, a shameless bump! Plus, it's Saturday. . .and Doc tells me we're one day closer to the cruise. Right now, I have a race on my mind, so the cruise takes a back seat. Doc also wanted to know about the "activity" on this thread. Since it has been light, I'm bumping us (see above). And for grins, here are some questions to get folks in the mood:
1) Anyone doing Palo vice one of the other dining options?
2) Anyone staying on board at Nassau for the spa, wine tasting, etc? Oh. . .that would be us! :thumbsup2
3) Anyone doing a pre-trip TR on the TR board?
4) Anyone doing a TR when they get back?
5) Anyone doing the parasailing?

Okay, that should suffice for now. . .pirate:

Morning all!

In answer to Sleepydog's questions:

1 - We canceled our Palo reservations since it was only a three night cruise and we wanted to try all the restaurants. I am hoping DH enjoys it enough to rebook a 7 day on board! :)

2 - We are doing the Atlantis Beach Day. The kids love the beach and we thought the aquarium would be fun.

3/4 - No plans to do a trip report but maybe I will get motivated!

5 - No parasailing this trip. DS7 is not old enough so maybe next time. We are doing the stingray excursion on CC.

We are really getting excited for this trip. I know I am forgetting something but have not figured out yet what that is. :confused3

Have a great weekend everyone. We are off to soccer!

Ok - it is I, the Planner :smooth:

I have completed the online papers for Sleepydog and myself. I however have a question about the Bahamian form.
It asks for the date of arrival - I assume that is Friday 29 Sept
It asks for length of stay/nights - we have 2 days and 1 night, so....
do we put 1 or 2?
As for type of accomodation - do we put "other" as we will be on
the ship?
As for the intended address - do we just put the Wonder? (Wow what
an address :sunny: )

Also - have we decided to change our meet time to 2:00 at the Mickey pool to allow for ressie changes? (Sleepy and I will probably need to tweak the Palo/dining rotation ressies). If so - which ear are we meeting by? :earboy2:

Good morning to all from the heart of Ohio! The Buckeyes just beat Texas, so all is right with the world...guess where I'll be during the OSU/Iowa game on the 30th...

In response to some of Sleepydog's questions:

I for one will be happy to rotate to the scheduled locations for dinner - and since I am solo, have no reason to go to Palo. Last cruise I had a significant other, and he and I found it to be a very romantic dining experience.

While in Nassau, I intend to do a teensy bit of shopping at the straw market, but most of the day will be on board.

Having been parasailing once before, I must say it was the ultimate thrill ride. If you can afford the cost and the time, by all means - do it!

Doc: I'm hoping we will all meet at 2 at the Mickey pool - my flight arrives in Orlando at 10:05 a.m., so not sure when I'll finally make it to the Wonder! How about an alternate meet location in case someone isn't able to make the 2:00 pool time?

I CAN'T WAIT!!!

1) Anyone doing Palo vice one of the other dining options?

No, since its just the 3 nights and DD is with us.

2) Anyone staying on board at Nassau for the spa, wine tasting, etc?

We will be staying onbaord to do the Rasul and the wine tasting and the beer tasting. Now the real question is who is doing the whickey tasting on Thursday night?

3) Anyone doing a pre-trip TR on the TR board?
Nope
4) Anyone doing a TR when they get back?
I probably will.

5) Anyone doing the parasailing?
DW will be doing Parasailing on CC ( her bday present from me) and I'll be doing the personal watercraft tour on CC ( my present to me)

- still no cruise docs in the mail though......:(

Hopefully they will come tomorrow! Did you do the online checkin? We booked our cruise thru DU and did online checkin as soon as it was paid off. They were shipped UPS and left on the front porch though which I did not like. We don't use our front door that often so glad DS checked.

..sorry to butt in...but just like to say... :wave2:

so this is where sleepydog#25 been laying around?! paw:
[blues' clues, #1]

we'll be getting off when you all getting on..haven't been
on the wonder on our last 3 cruises...i can't explain it but it's
our favorite..maybe because it was our first in 99.

just like to respond to sleepyD. questions,

it's my goal to do this cruise like the commercial...the one where the guy
always taking a snooze, everywhere he went...& to do the "pair-sailing" with
our lil princess: . so if you see alot of imprints, on the deck chairs, just
saying.. :rolleyes1 ..oh, i also made a promise to our daughter, to help her
with those darn good.. :mickeybar ..a promise is a promise, ya know?
:mickeyjum

i might be talk into a lil adventure...& try a lil experiment, by eating a mickey
bar with every drink of the day..someone mentioned, its the best way to
keep from being hanging over? ..makes sense...since necessarity is the
mother of invention?

:ssst: ..hey, you don't suppose, sleepy :dog: here, is that guy?!..in the disney commcerial....? he seem to have the personality down "pat" > pluto:
& leaving his :dog2:'s paw: paw: all over the place...i bet he even uses
his towel to save the loungers?

is anyone here young enough..& can remember making gliders out of
ice cream sticks? :wizard:

Ok, kiddos! Now we need to get our handy-dandy. . .? "NOTEBOOK!" Right!! Li'l G, so nice of you to drop in.

The parasailing is MY idea for ME. Doc wouldn't touch a parasail--she thinks Goofy's coaster in MK is dangerous. Doc's fave activity this trip is gonna be the lounging on a beach chair under an umbrella at Serenity Beach. Hmmm, a Mickey bar with each drink? I'm thinking not with wine; otherwise, it might be a fine idea. . .especially with that coffetini thingie. . .

Yes. Yes, I am that man in the commercial. 'Cept I don't leave towels to save a chair. . .I find discarded swimsuits or ratty ol' sneaks ON the chair work wonders. . .

I'm waayyyy too young to know anything about making gliders from popsicle sticks. . .must be your age catching up to you Li'l G. ;) :sail:
