Hi everyone ! Our flight lands on wednesday and we'll be staying at AKL for 3 nights before the cruise !!! Yahoo !!!

I can't decide where to stay the night before our cruise?? Should I stick to what I know and stay at a Disney hotel or stay at a hotel in Cocoa Beach?? Is there stuff to do around the port??

Well I decided I wanted to wake up on Saturday morning and see the ship, so I picked the one closest to port.

If you have time Kennedy Space Center is real close to port. We had the older kids there in 1990. Would love to take our 2 youngest but, couldn't get an early flight. That will be another reason to head to Fl. again. There are also beaches, and piers, & Ron Jon's is really neat to see. I'm sure there may be more but I haven't been to Cocoa Beach for years. My cousin lived there in the 90's.

We like staying at WDW because if you use the Cruise transportation they will pick you up in the cruise bus and you can watch the cruise video on the way there! It gets me all pumped up (as if I would need it. :goodvibes) but it just gets me ready! Then you come over the bride and there she is! So exciting! But... it would be cool to wake up and see the ship too! :thumbsup2

Well, DisneyFreak, You're really confused now.:confused3
I don't think you could go wrong either way.:hug::hug::hug:

HAHA! Lol... I had to look a minute... I thought you were callling me a Disney Freak! :rotfl2: I was like... wait a minute!!! HAHAHA!!!!

Yes, he is definitely confused! :thumbsup2

Gina, That's so funny. I suppose we are all Disney Freaks. :rotfl2:

Disneyfreak22 would you like me to add your information to the list. Your & DH name, and kids ages? Are you celebrating anything special? Do you have your cabin #?

I saw you had to children. Mine are 12 & 15. If they're older maybe we can get the kids together.

Hi!

It's been awhile since I posted, so I thought I would say hi again!

I am getting so excited for the cruise! We still haven't decided where/what we are going to do before the cruise. My parents are in Jacksonville, so we are leaning towards just spending time with them, but I would love to spend a day or so in Disney before the cruise!!

Has anyone decided what they are going to do in St. Martin and St. John/Thomas? DH wants to take the "Under 2 Flags Tour" in St. Martin. I want to spend the day at the beach in St. Thomas, but not sure where exactly.

What is everyone else doing??

Meredith

We are looking at "Under 2 Flags" also. I think we will leave the kids on the ship, and go back for the to go to Great Bay, and a walk in town,
In St. Thomas we want to take a cab to the Great House first thing in the morning, then "Sky Ride to Paradise",
then maybe just walk around the town.
Since this is our first cruise my head is running in circles trying to decide what would be the best thing to do. I want to do everything.

Hell o Meredith! We are SO excited! I have all of my stuff booked so I am grateful I don't have to stress over that!

On St. Maarten we are doing the Golden Eagle Catamaran! I have done this one before and LOVED it! :goodvibes

We have a private cabana (#20) booked for Castaway Cay on Serenity Bay. So we will be hanging out at the beach ALL DAY! :cloud9: EXCEPT... my sister and I are going to get massages in the open air cabanas! :woohoo:

We have Palo booked for Tuesday evening at 7:30pm and we have a Palo brunch for Sunday at 10:30am.

We are just going to shop all day on St. Thomas because I will be looking for the perfect blue diamond ring for myself. I have always wanted one and FINALLY I will be able to get one! :yay:

***Oh... and on a side note.. since we are coming up on your guy's 90 day mark I wanted to check Palo and cabana availability. It is the same as it was in the earlier post. No cabanas have been booked since I booked mine and there are still quite a few Palo reservations open! So get on it at 12:01AM!***

Ok fellow cruisers! I need your thoughts.... I am surprising my family by coming in the day before and staying at the Contemporary. I have booked a theme park view tower room and I am super excited about it. However, I started to think about it more and more and I can't imagine not going into the MK. So... you see where I am going with this.

Do I...

A. Buy everyone MNSSHP tickets and surprise them with a visit into MK?
B. Surprise them with a monorail ride over to EPCOT and spend the evening there (they have EMH til midnight)
C. Skip the park all together and stay in the hotel all evening?

We ALL love the MK and EPCOT. My problem is when I booked the room I was under the impression we would get to see WISHES, not Hallowishes, from our room. Not that the Halloween version isn't cool, but we love the real deal. :confused3 So I am thinking it might be special to actually go into the park, but then why do I need a Tower Room? UGH! Your thoughts are appreciated!

My first thought was, why a view of MK if your not going to enjoy it? My second thought was, Oh you'll be so tired when you arrive at port the next day if you're out until midnight.
Just my thoughts.

See that was my thoughts first but they won't pick us up to take us to the port until around 11 so we would get to sleep in a bit. It actually beats flying in Saturday morning because the flight we would take leaves at 7am. I have already paid for it so downgrading doesn't make too much sense. My dad wouldn't go to the MK with us, he would hang out in the room. UGH... I guess I have a while to think about it!

OR

I could just skip the parks all together and go for the big dog and stay club level!! Its only $89 more for my discount that way we have breakfast available and such! What do you think?

I want a cabana so badly! The cruise is my birthday present from my DH  and I've been trying to convince him that a cabana would totally top the whole thing off! He doesn't seem to be buying it!

Well... you could always book one and cancel it if you can't do it. But you need to cancel it before the first day. :thumbsup2

If it were me I would stay club level and skip the parks. What more could you ask for. A view of MK and treated like your royalty to boot.
Now that I've said that, I really have no experience at all w/any of it. Never stayed in MK resort, never stayed club level anywhere, and have dreamed of a cruise for 30 yrs and finally get to take one. My dream is just getting on that ship.

Oh I'm sure you'll love what ever you do. Can't go wrong with any of it.

See... this shouldn't be hard for me because I do this all the time... I am a Disney Travel Planner and I keep asking myself what would I tell my clients? I am thinking I will book CL and forget it. It will be hard being so close to the MK and not go but we will have a view of the castle and such. UGH!.... I am trying to think of my family and what they would want. DANGIT! I am so confused! :sad2:

You know what... as I am writing this I am thinking deeper about it... I am going to take my mom and sister to MNSSHP. It will be a great evening for us and a pleasant surprise to them. Dad won't want to go so he will just hang out in the room and sit on the balcony and have a cocktail. We will enjoy the room when we get back and that next morning. I will just order us breakfast room service and we can eat on the balcony! Then they can wisk us away to the Magic! :goodvibes

Hi guys!

We are here in Indiana. Forgot how nasty the humidity is out here.

We are coming in on Friday afternoon. We are staying at the Embassy Suites airport. We'll take the free shuttle there and back. Then take the DCL bus to the port.

Can't wait to book on Saturday night!!

Oh yeah the humidity here in Southern Ohio is really high too. If it weren't for that it would be rather nice outside.

What are you booking on Saturday?

I was looking over my plans this morning. Do I need to book the Skyride to Paradise in St. Thomas or can I wait until we get to port and just go?

Also should I book the Castaway Stingray thing first or try and get Exotic Rasul first?
I have to wait until July 11th. It seems so far away, but it's only about 3 weeks. Can't believe it's actually this close. Still seems like a dream.

UGH! :headache:The DCL web site wont let me save the spa treatments in my saved activities. Am I doing something wrong? I was hoping it all would be in the saved activities, and port adventures so I don't have to go looking for them at midnight.
