September 22-25, 2011 Disney Dream Cruise

i think its gonna be at Vista cafe deck 4 mid ship right after the muster drill

That works for us! So we are all to wear Mardi gras beads right? Oh and can you give me an estimate of how long it will take to visit each stateroom to drop our FE gifts please? This is our first cruise and we really have no clue of what we are in for "size wise". lol We are trying to compare it to one of our large shopping centers (but with more floors) and how long it takes us to walk around that! So excited to meet everyone!!! Thanks !!:goodvibes

The Dream has very long, long hallways, so it will be a hike if you have staterooms that are spread between forward and aft; I would allot a least an hour for the deliveries. But just think you can reward yourself with an icecream by the pool when you get done. :rotfl: I am finally back in Atlanta after my LONG trial in Las Vegas. Looking forward to meeting everyone. :grouphug:

Good Morning Shipmates, does everyone know what today is? I am so happy to tell you that today is September the 1st which means we only have 21 more days to set sail on the Dream.I have had this cruise planned since March 2010 so it has been a very long wait! I hope everyone has a great day!

I know!! I was so excited this morning and just happened to mention to my girls that in just 3 short weeks we'd be sitting in a hotel room getting ready to board the Dream!!!

On my cruise on the Dream in May, we had 20 staterooms in the FE exchange, and it took me about an hour to do all my deliveries. I started up at the highest deck and then worked my way down using the stairs so I wouldn't have to wait for the elevator.

Can the expert Disney cruisers confirm if there is or isn't a formal night on this cruise?

Thanks, Ken

wow its ben awhile since we have checked in.Not much longer until we cruise I hope everyone has a fun time!!

No formal night on a 3-night cruise. This is our first 3-night cruise, but I know that on the 4-night cruise, one of the nights is a dress-up night, but far from formal. I just think that it's cruise casual on a 3-nighter.

There is no formal night; I found that our last Disney Cruise was extremely casual. I have decided that we are packing light I have heard some people say pack your suitcase and when you’re finished then take half back out:scared1:, I don’t know if I could do that but I am going to try I always over pack! I hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Labor Day weekend and can’t wait to meet all of you guys!

WOW, that looks cool! We're scheduled to sail on the Fantasy next May, just 2 days after we get out of school for summer! Can't wait!

I think I am going to take the plunge onboard and book the Fantasy for 2013, I hate to see what the prices are going to be but hey I guess a mom has to do what a mom has to do, I just think the 3 & 4 day cruises are just too short, great to say the least but I think we will need to give DCL a try with their longer itineraries but if the cost is too high we may have to try the Allure or the Breeze. I wonder if the 7 day DCL cruises ever do two stops at Castaway Cay. I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

I booked the 7-night in May 2012, on the day that it came out for sale. It wasn't "cheap", but the cheapest that I could have gotten it. We've sailed only on 4 or 7 night DCL cruises, so I fear that this one is going to go by SO fast!! But, at least we get to experience the Dream for a few days! I know that in the past, we've sailed on at least 1 7-night cruise that had 2 CC stops. Not sure if they'll plan that with the Fantasy, but it would be a nice itinerary!

We rebooked for the Fantasy in 2012 when we were on the Dream in June. The prices are steep, and were about $1000 more than the comparable Carnival cruise 7 nighter. With that said, once you factor in the discount for rebooking on board, and the stateboard credits you receive through Disney and through Dreams Unlimited (with a reservation transfer) it makes it a bit more bearable, plus the fact that we have a Disney Visa and get 6 months no interest. 2012 might be our last Disney cruise, though, if prices don't get more in line with everyone else. I hope they do - I love cruising Disney, but they are almost pricing themselves out of the market.

we are rebooking for the same 3 night next september the rest of our family is already booked we are doing a big family cruise. Crystal when i get home i will email you the list and map. Sorry it is taking me longer than usual it has been a crazy week. I cant wait to see everyone my hair wont be brown when we meet i will be a red head so atleast i should be easy to spot. :)

WOW! Just for fun, I priced out the same 3-night cruise and it's almost $1000 more than what I'm paying this year for the same room. That's just crazy! I think that we won't be able to make it for too many more DCL cruises either.

Hey everybody,

Now that we are past Labor Day, the next thing I have to look forward to is meeting all of you good folks on the Dream!!!!:banana::banana:

I can't wait. I have almost let the surprise slip a time or two around the children, but so far, they still do not know.

I can tell I am getting excited... the other night I dreamed they sent me the wrong luggage tags for part of my family. :rotfl:
