Hey Bob (my fellow Nutmegger!)

My FAVORITE thing to do on Day 1 is head right to MK so I can walk down Main Street and see the castle. BUT....it all depends on the day of the week that we arrive and how the rest of the week is planned out. Our last trip was a quick one, and we only got to MK for MNSSHP, but it was still fabulous.

MK and Epcot are our favorite parks by far, so we tend to do more time there (especially Epcot - the kids love it) than the others. Last trip, DD and I were the only ones that made it to AK and all we did was ride Everest (twice) and then leave.

We haven't stayed at the same place twice, so again, although I did love staying at Boardwalk so we could just walk into Epcot!

For all of you that are heading to WDW before the cruise, have a great time, and someone PLEASE have a Grand Marnier Slushie in France for me!

My favorite park is Epcot as well next would be MK Hollywood Studios and AK.
I will have a Grand Marnier, one for you and one for me.....so good on a hot day!

when we 1st get into the disney area we go to the preimere outlets on little lake bryan then head over to perkins for breakfast. then head to where ever we are staying check in and if the room isnt ready we'll go to walmart for our last minute needs or things we realize we've forgotten. then head back to the resort put our bags in then depending on how we feel we might usually head to downtown disney. get some ghirardelli's then go walk around there hit the kitchen store, then the holiday store to see if they have any hanuakkah things then go to the disney store and thats our 1st day there.

Wow sounds like it could be a packed day and thought heading into the parks was a lot. Ghirardelli's is always on our DTD list, love walking around DTD at night great atmosphere but I do miss the "Adventurers Club" Kungaloosh!

Just a final note regarding the stateroom tour:

We will all meet at 10:00 am (or a little before) in front of the Walt Disney Theater, which is on deck #3 in the bow of the ship.

Before the tour starts I need someone from your family to come up to me so I can check you and your family in.

We will be starting on deck #2 and work our way up to deck #12 to our Grand Finale. The Walt Disney Suite!!!!!

We're back home from a fun weekend at Ft Wilderness. That place is really neat! We visited all the resorts in the Magic Kingdom resort for a quick drink, snacks and some pictures. I think I'd like to try a stay at the Polynesian one of these days.

Well anyway, it feels like we are in vacation mode already. It is going to be hard to go back to work for 11 1/2 more days before our real vacay!!! But oh my, so much to do!! If I weren't so exhausted from our trip I'd get started. But....

Janet and I will be doing the single digit dance in the morning. Now to find the time to get ready to leave. Had a five day weekend and got the plumbing redone in the house but not much more. And we hired the job out. It is great to have increased water pressure however.

On another note I almost killed my DIL cat. I gave an overdose of insulin last night. 500 dollars later it seems that she may be ok but it may take me a bit to recover. Pixie dust is needed.

Well back to play the waiting game.

oh yes a very packed day of running. but we love it. Of course cant go to DTD without getting some Ghirardelli's. Me too the night is the best time i think everything is all lit up and pretty.

Holy moly... Had an epiphany today and got nervous. I was talking with someone and said "we are going on a cruise in September" and they said "this month? Wow that's not too far away." then it dawned on me... It is really close! So much to do and so little time! Of course I am over the moon happy too. SO ready for this vacation.

Anyway...Two questions.

First, about the FE. I am getting that all wrapped up soon so I can maybe ship the box ahead. We are still missing some cabin numbers, aren't we? Also, am I dreaming or is someone making a map already? I started one, and then thought there was no need to do so if someone already was. But I couldn't remember who it might have been, and if I read it here or on Facebook. (I blame my current rating sinus infection for my lack of brain activity...)

Also, does anyone have a good packing list that they recommend? We drug out our suitcases this weekend and are starting to make piles. I know I will forget stuff, but thought a good packing list migt be a starting point.

Hope everyone had a great labor day weekend. It will be here before we know it!

That includes those that upgrade at the port. And if your family has a room change please call me in 7192 and leave me a message so I can put your info up on the whiteboard! Thanks!!!

Nope, CiCi (Sebby) made a set of maps. They were posted not too far back.

As soon as I have all the numbers in I will put together a PDF of both the lists and the maps for download so everyone can either print them or load them on their mobile devices and tablets to bring along. Cool! You both have saved me then...I will not keep working on a map. You both rock. . I still need to finish embarkation day and pirate night outfits...and maybe a few FE gifts still! I started a new job mid August, and kind of pushed everything aside for a while and need to get back in gear!

Alright, I'm really starting to worry.....

I got married on July 14th, on July 17th I sent all of my information in,to update my passport. Since my passport was not expired I did'nt think I had to pay for an updated one. 3 weeks later they sent it back telling me that I did have to pay the fee for a new passport. Which thats totally fine with me. So i send them a check including an extra fee to have it rushed. Just this last Friday I checked the mail and there was a letter from them that stated my passport photo was not taken within 6 months. Which was not true because I had it taken the same day I sent the information in the 1st place on July 17th.... Just to please them I had another passport picture taken. I paid fedex to have it overnighted to them. They are supposed to have it by today. Ive called three times so far and they still have not recived it. I was told that their system only updates once a day. They also informed me that I am not guarantied that I will have it before I leave for my trip! I'm super stress out, what if I dont get it back before the trip? All of their workers are going to know me from a first name basis by the time this is over with.
I need some good vibes sent my way!

Do you have your birth certificate? You can board the ship with that and a drivers license if you don't get your passport in time. What about using your old passport and bringing your marriage certificate? Just a couple of ideas. In the meantime, I'll keep my fingers crossed that everything works out!

I do have a Birth Certificate. I didnt know that they would take that. Would I still be able to get on the islands even though Castaway Cay is not considered US? I had to send in my old passport to get the new one. I should have just waited to do the whole name change thing until after the honymoon. Thank you for this information, It definitely helped with the stressing out issue.

If you don't get it in time, just bring your old one, your valid driver's license/ state id, Birth Certificate, and your marriage license. I know it seems like a lot, but this will get you on the ship. Actually you don't need to even bring the old one as long as you've get the other three... but I guess it wouldn't hurt

You will be able to go on all the islands w/o a passport.
