September 22, 2012 Fantasy Eastern "From Fantasyland to the Fantasy"

Ibelieve it's June 9th. For me it's at 12:01AM.

Speaking of check-in, any platinum cruisers on here? How did you make out??

We will be Platinum after this cruise. Read a thread a few days back that trhey are reducing some of the Perks. Wonder if they had more folks reach that point sooner than they thought they would and the cost was more than they are willing to pay.

June 9th is just next week! OMG I am so not ready!!!!

I actually have my alarm set on my phone to remind me. Don't expect to have any issues. Traveling with my mom so heading out on some mild excursions and she eats like a bird do will probably skip Palo brunch this time.

My husband and I are not platinum but we have booked the Walt Disney Suite so we were able to reserve what we wanted early which was really nice. The concierge staff called us the weekend before to remind me to make a list of what we wanted to do and they would take care of it for us. They booked our cabana we requested #21 on Serenity beach, they booked Palo dinner for us, they booked our Palo brunch, they booked the spa and the salon for a hair appointment for me and took notes on all our other requests for the ships concierge manager, I believe his name is PJ, to handle. We made a request to have the Remy lunch booked for us if they continue offering it as well. DCL has always taken great care of my family and for that I am grateful. No one beats DCL's customer service in my honest opinion.

My husband and I have never been on a cruise before and decided to finally go this year on a Disney Cruise. We were married in September 2010 and can't wait to celebrate our two year anniversary with Disney :) I'm a big Disney fanatic - my husband proposed to me in Disneyland in front of the castle December 2009, so Disney has a very special place in my heart. Looking forward to seeing everyone on our cruise!

For roll call purposes:

Steve (30) and Lindsay (26) from Lynchburg, Virginia

Hi everybody!
So excited to join this community! My husband and I got married last Oct and sailed the 4 day Disney Dream to the Bahamas. We LOVED it and decided that we had to do a longer Disney cruise for our 1st anniversary!

We are huge Disney fans! Our first date was at Disney World, got engaged at The Grand Floridian after our Victoria and Albert's dinner and even had a Disney themed wedding!

For roll call: I'm Tina (25), DH Jeff (30), Hometown: Orlando, Florida. Stateroom Category 8C GTY and late dining.

Counting down the days until we sail!!

For those of you driving to the port, don't forget about Park N Cruise. I just made our reservations online and because we booked in advance, it is only $5.99 a day. Sure beats the $15 a day for parking at the port!

Welcome Welcome to the new folks to join our cruise. I am so excited to get to meet everyone and to be reunited with those that we have cruised with in the past.

For those that are new to DCL please read page one of this thread and as many other threads on the main cruise forum that time will allow. Feel free to ask any questions that you may have on this thread as well. I love to talk about Disney so do not worry about giving me a reason to obsess. Lois

The Hollandmiller Family: April Holland, husband Brian Miller, son Roman Hollandmiller, who is 3 1/2. We are from the Bay Area of California (Silicon Valley) and this will be our third Disney cruise. First two were on the Wonder out of LA, traveling to Mexico. Looking very forward to seeing the new ship with all its bells and whistles... Not so looking forward to the long flight in the evening before. :) We're in category 9B and don't yet have our stateroom number. We're scheduled for late dining.
Hoping to gather info on hotel and best options for transportation from airport to hotel and to port.
Also, we're dying to get one night at Remy but our little boy doesn't have much experience with daycare (stays with Grandma during the week) so, while we have high hopes that he'll be ready to stay on his own at the Oceaneer's Club, we are considering contingencies... We'd love to meet up with someone who has a child close in age who we could spend just a little time with who might help ease some of the stress of being dropped off. ("Look, honey! So and so is a big kid, too, and s/he's so excited to go off and play! Don't you want to go, too?!" :rolleyes1) That said, I know most kids end up not wanting to leave the clubs so hopefully I'm being overly paranoid.
Very excited, and would love to hear/trade DCL tips...
Bon Voyage!

Welcome aboard!:cheer2:

We too are from the Bay Area/Silicon Valley in California. My husband and I both work in Fremont and this is our third DCL cruise as well. The first two cruises were on the Magic where we were so spoiled that I don't know if we can ever sail on any other cruise line :rotfl:
