September 22, 2012 Fantasy Eastern "From Fantasyland to the Fantasy"

My first FE also. Making homemade items. Like the cutoff of 7/22.:cool1:

My son's name is spelled incorrectly on the FE list. It's Nathanial.

I also like the 7/22 cut off date because i'm having some printting done and no i'm not telling I also have one of my gifts just about done. Can you belive we are just over two months until we get to check in:):) Sitting by the pool and slipping those coolers:beach::beach:

Sorry about that! I'll fix it right now! :goodvibes

thanks for fixing Nate's spelling. I know its spelled different but that is the name given by his birth parents.

FIVE MONTHS UNTIL WE SAIL!!!!

And now we are into that time of year where the days just fly by! For us, it's softball & baseball season, which means we are busy pretty much every night of the week and weekends. Before I know it, school will be over, and we all know that the summer FLIES by.

Now, When to tell my kids about this trip? Still trying to figure that one out!

Took the kids to see "Chimpanzee" today (rainy day here) and it was really cute. Less violent than other DisneyNature movies that we had seen, so DD was happy.

We also stopped at Target for the latest "Kingdom Keepers" book and then decided to get the 10th Anniversary DVD of "The Pricess Diaries" too. Entered the code from the movie and had enough points to get another Disney Gift card ($10) to put towards our spending money!

And to answer MDTwingles...I am not planning on doing a PTR. I've never read one of those, what do people put in the PTR?

Nope, I will do a TR though! :goodvibes I usually start right before the cruise.:thumbsup2

I started one but i can't find it now. Besides my trip changed a lot. So i may do another one or waite and do a full report. I was just rewarded for having a january with two full days of SUN and temps in the 7o's. It was so warm today that i broke out my binki top not brave yeat to wear the bottom.;):dance3:

If any of you are members of the Disney Movie Rewards (you get points for entering the codes from your DVDs and Disney movie tickets), you can get a $10 gift card for 1000 points right now. It says limited quantities, so jump on it if you are interested.

I just got 3 cards - $30 towards my Drink of the Day! :lmao:

We did the same thing!

What does everyone think about backing it up to 7/22? I aim to make it as easy as possible for everyone! What do you all think?:thumbsup2
Thanks, Jen :)

I definitely like the 7/22 cutoff date. I will make extras so I will more than likely do both lists if we end up splitting.

I hope that summer goes by fast. It's just so darn hot down here during summer that a lot of activities are done indoor. Hoping to frequently head to the beach so I can have a nice tan before the cruise :) I can't wait to hear your kids' reactions when they hear about the cruise! I'm so excited for you!

Is anyone in our group doing a PTR?

No...I probably won't do a TR either...I like reading other DIS'ers reports though! :surfweb:

We are getting a dog! My husband and kids have been wanting a dog for a LONG time. (Me, too...but I was fine with just our kitty.) My DH is a police officer and we were on the list for a retired K-9, but we knew that could take months or even years. We also are on the list at our local Golden Retriever Rescue. The two breeds that we were set on was a Golden or a German Shepherd. Well, my SIL called my DH on Friday night and said "You have to see this dog on Craigslist!" All it said was that is was a full-bred German Shepherd, female, 11 mos old and it needed to go to a good family.

Well, I was skeptical, but I told my DH to go ahead email the person about the dog. They emailed back and forth a few times and she sent a couple pictures of the dog. They spoke this morning and we were able to get some more details...

They are a family with 3 kids and they are moving to the East Coast of FL to be closer to family. The place they are moving in to is a rental and they won't accept large dogs, so they had no choice but to find a new home for her. We had some questions for her, and she had questions for us. She wanted to make sure we weren't going to breed her and that she was going to be an inside dog, etc. She said that she had received over 40 phone calls over the last 2 weeks and there were 2 people that they were considering, but after talking to us, she knew we were the right people!

We went over to their house this afternoon and spent over 2 hours there playing with the dog, talking to them and their kids, and really getting to know each other! The owners loved us and chose us to adopt their sweet Rheena!!! She is the most beautiful German Shepherd and is so sweet and loving. And is fabulous with our kids! We will be getting her in the next week or two and we are just over the moon.

I always told my DH that the right dog would come along at the right time and it seems that Rheena has done just that! So happy :)

CONGRAULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!! I had a german sheapter his name was Nikie after the tennis shoe my late mom named him. He was the sweetest dog and got along with every one. Nikie even loved our cats. Sounds like she's a good age to start training right.:yay::yay::yay:

Congratulations are in order for your new family member. We too have a dog that is half Akita and Half German Shepherd. Lucky, is the sweetest, most loving and loyal dog I have every had. I grew up having 6 dogs total ( I LOVE DOGS!!!!!!!!!!!) and they brought me so much joy and love. Right now my husband and I have Lucky (102 pounds of love), Goldie (collie/beagle mix at 52 pounds) and our two babies Chanel and Dior (Yorkshire Terriers at 4 and 5 pounds). Our house is filled with so much love from these doggies:lovestruc

Hey everyone! I have to apologize that I've not been active on here for a VERY long time, but I'm vowing to be more involved from this day forward! I've been contributing to the FB Page from time-to-time, so hopefully that will help me stay more motivated to stay on DISboards, too.

So let me re-introduce myself to those of you who don't know me already, and I know there are several of you out there that we've cruised together before! I'm terribly excited to cruise with you again, and very much looking forward to making new friends From Fantasyland To The Fantasy!

I'm Kimberly from central Ohio. On paper, I'll be cruising solo this time, but knowing many of you already doesn't make me feel alone. :grouphug: My last DIS cruise was the westbound transatlantic in 2010, which was absolutely the MOST amazing trip EVAR, BTW! lol
So, I'm very much anxious to get back on DCL after this long separation, especially after a non-pampering girls' weekend cruise on NCL last September. I, scratch that, WE are spoiled with DCL! Preachin' to the choir, I know! :goodvibes

Like many of you, I've been waiting for this cruise to creep up since October 2010 when I booked it. I created a new signature ticker this afternoon and couldn't believe it said 4 months (yeah yeah...and 4 weeks, but still...4 months)!!! Seriously....the time has gone really fast! I really need to get myself pulled together working on door magnets and a (hopefully) creative FE gift.

We'll chat soon! I need to catch up on some more recent posts so I don't feel like I'm clueless with the chit chat!
