Just wondering a few things about Animal kingdom when traveling in September...if some of you dis veterans can chime in?
1. Is rope drop necessary?
2. If you've come during the week in early September? Do you have a strategy?
3. With those of you with small kids.....what is your strategy?
4. Will there be a River of Lights?
5. Do they still do parades?....I really loved the one we saw back in 2008.

Thanks in advance!

The way things are now my old Sept. strategy may not work. I used to use that as a sleep in day and go to Animal Kingdom between 10-11am. My first ride was always Kilimanjaro Safari using my first FP+ of the day.

Then I walked the Panguini Forest Trail, saw Festival of the Lion King, would grab lunch at Yak and Yeti and see Flights of Wonder after.

Then I would walk the Jungle Trek (I have been skipping Kali River Rapids) head over to EE and ride that using my 2nd FP+.

Then I'd head over to Dinoland and ride Dinosaur using my 3rd FP+. Once I did that I would usually get a snack, see It's tough to be a bug and leave.

If the kids were with me, they wanted to do Rafiki Planet Watch which I would do while over in Africa and they wanted to play in Dinoland longer so we would.

There are no parades and I've no idea if River of Light will be going on then. If it is, I will have to come up with a new plan.
I know I will for our June family trip since it sounds like the Jungle Book show will be going on in the evening as well as the nighttime safari. My group aren't early risers so going at park open won't work.

Rivers of Maybe is still undetermined. The continuation of the Jungle Oops We Need a Show Book past mid-summer is still undetermined.

There are no parades at AK.
