This will be our 3rd trip to Disney. Our trip is scheduled for Sept 6 to Sept 13. I am very anxiously awaiting our 180 day point which is March 10th so I can start making my reservations. On my list of reservations to make

BBB first thing in the morning, CRT lunch
GF Pirate Adventure Cruise with a GFC breakfast for Mom and Dad
MNSSHP
1900PF Cinderella dinner
Chef Mickey breakfast

Right now we do not have a room booked. We are using a time share and the choices for accommodations for our dates don't open up until 6 months before which means that our exact resort will also be booked around March 10th. It will be a DVC property. Hoping that we can get BC for the Storm Along Bay but BLT would also be great.

I have been doing a lot of thinking about our past trips. I really want to improve our experience with each trip.

Some of the negatives I want to improve

!. location of hotel - we were at AKL last time it was too long of a trip to MK for my kids, and we ended up staying longer at the parks then we were comfortable with because we didn't want to take up all the time needed to get back and forth to the hotel

2. our park days - we went to HS on our first day because of the crowd predictions, well the kids whined the whole time about wanting to ride rides, and we ended up forcing them to do things, it was not a good way to start. This trip Im thinking right to MK, ride rides all day maybe a character lunch or breakfast

That would get my vote. Especially since you can prebook some stuff with FP+. While the entire FP+ concept makes me itchy (I'll reserve a full opinion on that matter until I actually use it), in this scenario it can certainly help. Even if MK is busy, you'll at least have your three guaranteed FP+ ressies. Good luck in the planning!

A few discussions with my husband and a couple things have come up. He is interested in Rose & Crown for illuminations and we have decided on a Tusker House breakfast. We are thinking that if we get the last sitting for breakfast we can push it into a "lunch". And the girls have decided they are interested in the Wonderland Tea that is at 1:30 at GF instead of Pirates Adventure Cruise. The tea isn't as long as the cruise which means Mom and Dad wont get as much time to themselves.

As of today I have this decided on
9-6 MK all day BOG lunch
9-7 AK Tusker House Breakfast, try to get ADR for 10 am (should be pretty easy), make Nemo show a priority, we always see the Lion King we've never made it to Nemo :)

I just saw over on the DVC boards that VWL is being refurbed and the 5th floor is complete. The pictures are amazing. Im so excited it our top choice. But Im concerned about the noise and wondering if maybe we should wait a year. Maybe stay some where else this year.

I am so happy my husband realizes that planning is a big part of going to Disney. We are in agreement that we will be doing mostly lunch. I feel like I know they will sit for a lunch but I cannt be sure they will sit after a full day for dinner. I am trying not to bombard him with all of my ideas but so far we have come to a consensus on our first three days

9-6 MK all day Plaza lunch
9-7 AK Tusker House "brunch" latest brkf ADR we can get they serve until 10:30
9-8 Epcot - 1900PF Cinderella dinner first available ADR hoping for 5:30 then back for Illuminations

My parents have decided they want to come for a couple of days during our trip

Hi there. We are going to be at WDW the same time you are. I sorta kinda got our dining planned out. I am anxious to see what the park schedules will actually be like. It might end up changing our whole strategy. We will be staying at POP. This is only our 2nd time to go. Our first time was in October 2012.

Sept oct nov are my favorite times to go. As far as schedules there probably won't be as many em hours as they slow down a bit in the fall but the park opening and parade/show times should be the same as August. Generally fireworks are earlier but this first week in sept pretty sure they will be around 10 pm just like during the summer as it's still staying lighter later

Well it looks like on Sept 6 MK is going to be closing at 7pm for Night of Joy. This is supposed to be our first day. Im not sure what to do. We really have to go to MK first. We just do :) So should we park hop over to Epcot for Illuminations maybe dinner too. Or just call it a night and rest up back at the room. Or maybe do 1900PF Cinderella dinner. So many choices.

Hi there! We'll also be there the same week! Sept 6 is our arrival date, and we also plan to do MK that day, because we also JUST HAVE TO do MK first. Haha. Good to know about Night of Joy. I had no idea, so now I need to re-figure some things.

I read on another planning site that they predict MNSSHP will be on Sept 9th that week. Just in case you were wondering.

hello to you!!! My husband & I discussed it & we decided that since MK will be open till 7pm on 9-6 we are just going to call it a night. By the time we get back to the room, settle down, maybe have a snack, it will time for bed. I said earlier on that NOT going to MK our first day of our last trip was a huge mistake. But it REALY was, it set the tone for our whole trip. Because they complained so much we were all crabby and it carried over to every other day we were there.

Im pretty sure that you can count on MNSSHP being on both the Tuesday 9-9 and the Friday 9-12. We are planning for 9-12 for the party.

When it comes to vacations I really try to be sensitive to my husband. Its his vacation too and he should get to do what he wants. It cannt be all about the kids (and me :)) So I had him pick his restaurants yesterday.

These are all his choices
MK - The Plaza and CRT breakfast
Epcot - Biergarten lunch, Tutto Italia lunch
AK - Flame Tree
HS - Hollywood Brown Derby

We're not sure if we'll do DTD after MK that day, I think we're just gonna see what happens. We could be in MK by 330pm, so a couple of hours there may or may not wear us out!

oops, I didn't even look at Friday because we won't be there, haha!

What a good idea! Mine kept falling asleep when we were looking at the dining options. :confused3 We only have one request (from my parents) for Raglan Road, which is easy to work in.

Did y'all book a room yet? 6 days until ADR day! Looks like we're not competing with each other for any ADRs, so we can still be friends! :lmao:

No room yet but that's not going to stop me from making ADRs. I'll be up and on the computer first thing every morning. And if tradition holds true I will be changing things around about a dozen times till I'm totally satisfied.

Hi there! I see your trip planning is in full force. We also must let MK be our first park to go too. We will arrive on 9/6 and will go to DTD and eat at Raglan Road that evening. Then we are hoping and praying to get a breakfast ressie at CRT on 9/7.
We will probably go to MNSSHP on that Tuesday.

We are really close to making our ADR's which ones do you have your heart set on?

Hi!! Yes ADR day is March 10 so GOT TO GOT TO have my ducks in a row. Oh man which ones DONT I :rotfl: it is really hard to pick. I sat down today and this is what Ive come up with. I really had to make some tough decisions. Im still hoping that once we get our hotel set that I'll be able to make some ADRs for resort restaurants. I really want to do 1900PF Cinderella dinner.

9-6 MK - Plaza lunch
9-7 HS - HBD lunch
9-8 AK - Flame Tree lunch
9-9 and 9-11 MK hoping for CRT breakfast around 10:30 am for one of these days and also a BBB for as soon as they open
9-10 and 9-12 Epcot, on 9-12 we are doing MNSSHP so we will do Epcot till we can get to MK around 4 pm for the party - my girls are a little skittish about Halloween so we watched the parade and the fireworks on you tube so they could see what it was about. When I told them they could go trick or treating they were sold.

My chart so I can keep it all straight - yes I could use excel but I like to have one piece of paper in front of me

Looks great to me!

I get to do my ADRs on 3/10 also. I am in Texas so I can start at 5:00 am. (Yikes!) and with the time change this weekend it will be hard. But I love this stuff so I'm looking forward to it. We are wanting Raglan Road, CRT, BOG, SciFi Drive In, and Garden Grill. We are wanting to do these tours, Key to the Kingdom, Wild Africa Trek, and Behind the Seeds. Hopefully I can work all of our dining around the tours.
