I booked now so I can pay off the trip a little each month. If we don't get FD, I may shorten our reservation and will not buy the water parks & more option, which we were hoping to do.

We are booking at POR and considering park hoppers and preferred. Without dining plan, we won't be able to do either. We also won't be able to eat at the castle or do bippity boppity botique which I want to do for the girls.

On a different note, I've seen some people mention the love bugs that show up around September. Let me tell you, I had NO idea what these bugs were. They were very annoying! They were all over the place, in my hair, on our clothes, even in our room!! Now that I see some people mentioning that they come around that time every year I may reconsider going back in September!

UGH! I am so afraid of these love bugs! We went 8/27 to 9/4 last year and we didn't encounter them. Is there a particular week that they are bad?

Hmm free dining for love bugs....that's a tough decision LOL!

You need to hop over to the DVC and see about renting points!


Add us to the list waiting for a Sept room only discount. Our May trip is all set, now all I need is a code and to talk DH into a quick Sept trip....

AJA what about a bounceback offer? Maybe you'll get lucky.

Right now, I am waiting for airfare to come out for my dates and then will see if there are discounts available. We are thinking of doing a wed to wed trip, which means we would have to drive instead of fly. Not exactly what I had planned, but it may work out better. I just HATE spending the $1200 for flying!

how did you book your bounceback for after 12 months after your stay? Are you allowed to do that???

I will be kicking myself BIG time if this is the case. I went August 28th, 2011. Stayed at POR. We had a bounceback offer at our hotel room, but I didn't book it because we were going Sept 16, 2012 and it was after one year.

Now I am kicking myself!!!!

I probably won't end up booking for real until Feb....though I am hoping sooner. We are waiting for flight info first. Then we need to double check our taxes and make sure we get enough back....then we are on easy street LOL!!!!

One could only hope!! I am a patient person, but this is killing me! LOL! I've been booked since June, but free dining means a switch in resorts. Hopefully we'll get something after the Dec 17th free dining is up.

I haven't decided if I'm going to use it yet because I'm already book at the Poly Sept.9-Sept.14. I'm just excited I got one! And I think me signing up at Disney Store, Vacation Planning, Park Maps, etc. is the reason.

Also, do travel agents get any exclusive deals? I've read so much on here that I feel fully competent in deciding what deals I want and booking on my own (I knew way more about wdw than my ta last year) but was wondering if there were better prices through a ta somehow... Anyone know?

Saw the June promos and hoping we are next! Dh decided today he wants poly but there is no way I'm doing that without a substantial room discount. If not then por royal room hopefully with free dining. Come Disney the economy sucks throw us a bone!

Thanks for the information! I am really hoping for free dining (staying at a value, and FD for us would be a bigger savings), and am wondering if that'll be offered later. Any type of savings is better than none, though! If this pin can be applied to your stay at the Poly, you may save a lot!

I also would LOVE free dining. We are staying at POR this trip which is our cheapest option for 5. So while a % off would be lovely, feeding 5 at Disney is much more $$$!!!! So free dining here we come! I hope!

I was SO excited to see the new discount out. I have a feeling "summer" is next and since they probably will skip July for a discount, that includes August and September!!!!! Come on baby! SHOW ME THE MONEY (or food!)

I am getting so so so excited for our trip and its so so so far away LOL! Once the holidays are done, I am not sure what I will do to keep my mind off of Disney!

i think im the only one who DOSN'T want free dining!! Im hoping for the kids stay and play promo to pop up again for 2012! We went this past september and from what i saved with that promo i was able to buy all our food and keepsakes for HALF that amount! SO it was a huge plus for us!

so im hoping for stay and play!! bring it!

Free dining will definitely save us the most money. We finally decided to scale back and stay at Pop because as much as I love ALL the resorts, the fact is we are never there so it's silly for us to pay more than the bare minimum (I refuse to stay off-site though). So a percent off won't save us much and kids stay and play won't save us much either (only two kids, so that's like $500, right?). Free dining would save us much more than that.

But at this point... ANY discount would make me happy. I really thought I'd be booked by now.

I went onto the website this am and it offering free dining for dates in Sept right now.. The website keeps changing from the dates thru March to the Dates thru Sept. But i just logged in and it is doing it again, showing the dates thru Sept 2012 give it a shot.
