Thanks for all the kind words, everyone. We did have a fantastic time and we really enjoyed Saratoga Springs. It's a beautiful resort and the CMs are super friendly.

I was a little sad that we missed both IllumiNations and Wishes, but after going all day, it was just too hard.

I usually try to coordinate the girls quite a bit, but the Eeyore picture was about as close as I was able to coordinate on such short notice.

Now, to get on with the September planning. Right now, we have a few ADRs that we know we want to try for, but I can't get a schedule in my head. Plus, we aren't quite sure which restaurants we want to try this time.

Love the pics, I'm glad you all had a great time!
The shirts are adorable, I actually noticed that they coordinated. :goodvibes

I'm taking my kids for their first trip Sept 30, 2011. I haven't been in about 22 years since I was 10 years old. I think I'm more excited than my kids are! Were staying at Pop Century for half the trip and off site the other half. I couldnt decide which I would like better so I split it up and doing both. haha My son will be having his 9th birthday at the magic Kingdom october 1. Very cool!

YAY!!!! :cool1: How long will you be staying? I'll add you to the first page once I have your dates. :)

I just came across this thread and would love to have my name added to the list!

Sept 19 - 28th at POP! :goodvibes

I have a question..

Do most people skip MK on MNSSHP nights? I was planning on doing MK on a Tuesday, and we'll be attending the party that same night.

We usually take it easy when we go to MNSSHP since it is a late night. We usually spend the day leisurely at the resort, maybe a couple of hours at DTD, and rest a bit. We always have an ADR at MK for the night of the party for around 5 so we are done by the time the party starts.

That's awesome, October 1st is mk's 40th anniversary. :cool1:

disneydreamin - when we go to mnsshp I am going to just do that that day. I remember we got in around 4 so that was a full enough day for us :)

My DD turned 6 on Oct 1....all of the CM's made a HUGE deal out her sharing her birthday with WDW! :thumbsup2 Looking forward to the fun again this year!!!:cheer2:

DH and I want to go to MNNSHP but...

:rotfl: I want to trick or treat and I think this would be WAY inappropriate for someone who will be dressed up, yes, but is in her 20s. Maybe this is common at Disney??

My sister went with her friend and trick or treated. I think it is part of the fun :goodvibes

We are doing DTD on the day we arrive. So I think we're going to add another day onto our tickets (only $10) and go to MK on our MNSSHP from RD to around 11 or 12. Just to ride some rides and get some FPs. Then we'll rest at the hotel from noon - 4:30ish, head back to MK and ride some more rides and use our FPs. Then we'll be ready to do all the party activities at 6:30! But, we are doing a shortish trip, only 5 nights.

You're paying $50+ to be there. Get yo-self some candy!

In the past, we have just done a park in the morning of MNSSHP and then headed back to the resort around noon or 1pm to relax and get ready. Then we take the next morning to sleep in, enjoy the resort, etc.

And DisneyLifer -- the first time we went to MNSSHP, we weren't going to get treat bags because we thought we were too old and the CM actually forced us to take them. She said "Everyone trick-or-treats at Disney!" We had a blast!

I sat my DH down and have our trip planned!!!! He couldn't quite understand why we needed to be so organized ahead of time! I explained to him that if we are doing a waterpark then that day we will probably eat later at Epcot, and the days we want to stay at the parks until 7-9 we should eat at them, or near them so we don't spend an hour in the bus just to eat dinner!!!! So we did it!!!! I am al little concerned because we are going to eat at Sci-Fi, the last time I didn't really enjoy it but i think my DS and Dnephew(13) will like it. We want to eat in HS and I wasn't impressed the last 2 times at MM and the 50's isnt are kind of food! ARE WE HARD TO PLEASE OR WHAT???? :rotfl2:We much prefer Epcot and resort dining!!! I'm curious what everyone else prefers?:confused3

I can't wait to take my boys to MNSSHP! We're not doing it this year because I think they're just too young still. It wouldn't end well starting about 10:30p or so. :rotfl: Maybe next year!

This is what DH and I did for MVMCP in December. We don't even have kids and we still need the time to relax and possibly nap :lmao:

YAY! From what I hear, I don't think anyone prefers the food in HS... so you are not in the minority there.
