Snow is good just sitting there for now

TY I like your ticker too, if I ever plan another trip during the Christmas time I want to stay at GF so bad

Happy Sunday everyone!! :goodvibes

Welcome to all the newbies! :cool1:

Let's see. . . TS options for DHS and AK areas. . .

For DHS I would highly recommend Sci-Fi Dine In. Mama Melrose is also very good. Or you could take a boat over to the Boardwalk and eat there.

For AK I don't know. We rarely spend enough time there to eat in the park. We did do Tusker House for breakfast once and it was pretty good.

-------------------------------------

In other news -- I just did our taxes!!! :woohoo: We usually get a pretty nice refund, so this is a very exciting time of year for us!!!

Thanks everyone!
We're SO excited :)

Since we've never been, and I'm reading all about ADR's on this board... any suggestions on great places for kids to eat? They are all Toy Story obsessed, are there any themed places for that? Or other kid-favorites?

We haven't told the kids, but we plan on telling them soon-ish and doing a countdown calendar...

No table service restaurants with a Toy Story theme but there is Pizza Planet, a pizza counter service with a huge arcade! This is me and my boyfriend's favorite place to have lunch at Hollywood Studios!

Fun! We'll definitely have to go there, because the kids constantly yell "PIZZA PLANET!" when we go out to eat pizza now :) LOL

Where is everyone on this thread today???

Slow day in here. . . Isn't anyone else dreaming of Disney on this cold January day? :confused3

I haven't done much planning today. Other than to keep looking at menus. :rotfl:

I've been dreaming of Disney all day! :cloud9: Sadly, I haven't been planning though. I feel like I can't do too much more until they release the park hours. Later on tonight though I will be working on my countdown and dream board. I will, of course, take pictures! :)

YAY there is someone else here today!! :yay:

Can't wait to see your countdown and dream board! :goodvibes

Yup, I'm here! :cutie: So far, I have glued some fabric onto a cork board and I have cut out some Mickey heads. I plan on putting some good time into it tonight since I know my boys will love it! :dance3:

What all do you have planned so far for your trip?

That sounds very cool! :cool1:

Plans, let's see. . . I had things all planned out and then changed resorts for half the trip and dropped the waterpark & Disney Quest tickets and then had to start over again.

So as of now so far I have planned:
3 MK days
2 Epcot days
2 DHS days
1 very short morning at AK for DS11 & I
2 DTD days

And when I say "days" it is probably going to consist of about 3-4 hours in the morning or late evening due to the heat. So there won't be a ton of park time.

The kids mentioned maybe wanting to do the Pirate Cruise at CBR. So they might do that. We also want to take a trip over to POR to see Piano Bob. DS11 loved him when we stayed at POR a couple of trips ago!

Other than that we are planning on a lot of resort time and both CBR and the Poly. A lot of pool time!

The ADR's I am kicking around are:
Marrakesh
Shutters
Sci-Fi
Ohana
Kona
Turf Club
Chef Mickey's
T-Rex

Probably won't do all of them, but that's our list so far!

As far as CS:
CBR food court
POR food court
Captain Cook's
Pollo Campero

What all do you have planned? popcorn::

Not much planning today but we are mailing out the rental agreement and deposit on our windsor hills condo :cool1:

Planning... I'm like you and had my days planned out {for the most part} until we changed our plans too. We added 2 days on the end at AKL. So with doing that, we decided not to do MNSSHP and Night of Joy. We may see if we add MNSSHP back in, but for now its a no.

For now... our first night right after we check in to Pop, we're heading straight to MK. I'm hoping we get there in time for the parade, but I'm doubting it. We don't have our plane tickets yet. We'll eat either lunch or snack at Main Street Bakery and dinner at either Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace. We'll be sticking around for the fireworks if the boys can stay awake long enough.

I also have planned:
-1 more day in MK, at least but probably 2 days
-1 day in AK (maybe hitting it again at the end of our trip if we want to go back)
-2 days in Epcot
-1 day in DHS
-1 down day mid-trip
-1 day of resort touring and heading to DTD
-2 days of hanging out at AKL while we're there

These are our table service musts:
-Boma on our first night at AKL
-The Garden Grill
-Coral Reef

Our table service maybes:
-Le Cellier (lunch)
-Ohana's
-The Crystal Palace
-Cape May Cafe
-Garden Grove
-Whispering Canyon Cafe
-T-Rex

Counter Service options:
-Main Street Bakery
-Starring Rolls Cafe
-Wolfgang Puck Express
-Sunshine Seasons
-Tangierine Cafe
-Flame Tree Barbecue
-Pop Food Court (of course)
-Animal Kingdom Lodge Food Court (another of course)

We don't have a dining plan for the nights we're at AKL, so we'll just be eating cheaply.

The one for September is from 2010 though... I'm not sure how accurate that will be for 2011.

I know, but at least it gives me some sort of idea of what to expect I know when planning for last Nov they mostly kept the same days for things like fantasmic sundays and thurdays and the special parades etc.

I figure once I get it all planned out then I will get a pin for the end of Oct when it is cooler , and yes I probally will switch my ressie again :rotfl:

I'm officially an obsessed crazed person, I thought about Disney all day at work! Once the kids are in bed tonight, its back to planning :cool1:

At this point, we're trying to decide if we should officially switch to Poly, although I think we will. Just waiting on final numbers from our travel agent to make sure it's feasible budget wise :)

I really hope the September dates from last year are going to be close to the same this year! I'm having a really hard time here waiting for MARCH to plan my days!
