I need TS ideas for the days we do HS and AK...doesn't have to be in the park. I think so far we are doing 1900 park faire, Chef Mickey, and Akershus. I have a princess crazy DD but I also have 2 DS - anything they would love?

The only TS i ever tried in DHS was hollywood and vine and I DO NOT recommend it.

In AK the only TS I did was Tusker for lunch and we loved it, but are adventurous eaters and not picky.

I'm new around here, but we're planning our first WDW trip for September 17-24 at Animal Kingdom Lodge (finally decided )
I've been once when I was a kid, but my DH and kids have never been (DD 6 DS 4 DS 2) We'll be heading down to celebrate being a family - we adopted all three lovely kiddos from foster care - and our adoption was just final in December 2010. First thing we said once they were officially ours? We have to go to Disney! Okay, maybe not the first thing... we did some "Praise God!" and "Finally!" as well

We can't wait! Haven't told the kids yet, but DH and I are now Disney obsessed

Sci-Fi dine in theater might be fun for the DS's, although I haven't eaten there. We did Mama Melrose's, which was delicious. I can't wait to try Tusker House at AK, but like one of the PP, we are pretty adventurous eaters.

We went to Tusker House at AK and Hollywood and Vine at HS both for breakfast. Tusker House was our favorite character meal!! H/V was okay. We just didn't really have another choice for an ADR that morning. Our second favorite was Crystal Palace.

I just looked at the tusker house menu and I think we would like the food! Thanks for the suggestion!

Have you all told your kids yet? We are trying to decide if we should surprise them the night before we leave or tell them early. Part of me wants that moment of shock and surprise but I also think half the fun of a vacation is counting down the days and the anticipation. What do you do?

Since we've never been, and I'm reading all about ADR's on this board... any suggestions on great places for kids to eat? They are all Toy Story obsessed, are there any themed places for that? Or other kid-favorites?

We haven't told the kids, but we plan on telling them soon-ish and doing a countdown calendar...

Not my fave restaurant at all, but the kids might enjoy Rainforest Cafe at AK. The animals are fun to watch.

We have eaten at WGP Cafe twice, both for lunch. I can't remember what I got the first time- it was in 2007 but I do remember I enjoyed it. In 2008 I had the squash soup and did not like it at all- but I was sick with a ferocious cold so I don't know that I would have enjoyed anything at all. I would definitley go again though. Nice place IMO.
