Aww thank you! :3dglasses

Be sure to post a picture when you make yours!!! popcorn::

I will! I have to go out tomorrow and get some Disney themed paper and try to find some extra time to make it. I will have to squeeze it in this weekend though!

How do the ADR's work? Do we have to call back each day for that day of the vacation 180 days out? (I am even confusing myself…)

Marce

You can call (or go online, it's much easier) 180 days from your first day of vacation and make all your ADR's, as long as your vacation doesn't exceed 10 days. :)
I decided to make a countdown calendar...I used the back of an old picture frame so it would stand up. I'm hoping we will be able to use it year after year....

I made it on Saturday, so now we are at 154 days!

That is awesome! :goodvibes

How cute is that countdown calendar?!?!?! I love it!

A couple years ago, we "gave" my DD a trip to Disney on her birthday by putting a paper chain in a bag with a starting note of "We are going to Disney!" and then the Sept dates. At the end of the chain, we put fake paper tickets for each of us.

Her birthday is in mid-July and that was way too many links for my liking!

:lmao:

She loved it, though!

We are in the process of trying to decide where to eat. We have our favorites, but we also like to try new places, so it gets difficult.

I'm already excited and we still have another vacation to go on before WDW. We are headed on a cruise (not Disney) in April to celebrate DH's MBA.

Good Morning-

The countdown calendar is looking great! No fancy countdown calendar here just keeping track with my tickers on here, for now anyway, will probally start a countdown on the wall Calendar soon as I pick up a new sharpie pen so it stands out better.

Going to try and get DH to look at some menues today to try and pin him down on these ADR's.
.
When I was changeing my reservation yesterday the CM told me how great Cape May is for dinner, she raved about their crab legs.....I have been there for breakfast but never for dinner , is it really good? Anyone been there.

I almost hate to start reading reviews , when I was looking and reading reviews of O'hanas all I was finding was negative ones :scared1:

Off to get more coffee and pay some bills

We utilize my Dis ticker as our official countdown....and to check it I gotta get on the boards and post...Darn! :goodvibes

Good Morning!!

Hope everyone's Disney Dreams were good last night.:cloud9:

Do you think it's too early to pack? I'm so tired of the cold gloomy winter.

Cute Countdown BK!! Very talented!!

I made one yesterday but I am not so crafty -- I have not one crafty bone in my body -- so all I did was take 232 Mickey head punches in different colors and glued each one to a huge piece of cardboard, then numbered each one. The kids get to color in one a day with a sharpie- so that by the time we go all the Mickey heads will have turned black like the very last one.

They were surprised at the sheer number of heads that were there.
It's so many! :faint:

Sheila-- we liked 'Ohana. The food isn't the absolute best I've ever had, but it was good. I will say the bread pudding is probably the best thing they have. My DH who is not a big dessert person- almost licked the bowl.
If you go in expecting standard food, then you will be happy with the choice.

232 mickey heads are a lot of mickey heads

The worst thing about O'hana is I keep reading about how long one has to wait to be seated and DH tends to get a lil Grumpy, I hate all this agonzing over making ADR's.

I was just over trying to guestimate what air fare might be for when we are going, right now JB only has posted fares up to Sept 6, last year I think they released them in April.
I know they are going to be cheap since I have credits from last year when we had to cancel and being the nice mother that I am I gave the kids back there money in cash and just kept all the credits, I told DH we should fly up to Boston for the day since they have cheap flights and we could use some of the money instead of wasteing it .....of course he laughed at me. What I don't need for our flights in September, I will find a way to use, already lost $400 when I cancelled the flights last year.

232 Mickey Heads is a lot JO! :faint:

But we'll get there. Together! :dance3: Time will go by faster once we get past winter. ::yes::

Sheila - I will have a Cape May dinner review coming up in the TR pretty soon. Complete with pics & everything! :thumbsup2 I don't eat seafood, so I can't comment on that. Everything else was very good. I don't remember what all DH tried, I will ask him for you. He might have had some seafood.

We are thinking about trying Ohana for dinner too!

:woohoo: Hey, just 32 Weeks until Disney!!! :woohoo:

Sounds better than 224 days, right? ::yes::

:lmao:

Definately sounds better than 224 days, wonder how many weeks I have ? I just read a TR with love bugs and the heat for the beginning of October :scared1:

Thing is I went one year the first week of Oct and I can not for the life of me recall love bugs or it being too hot, I just rememeber the crowds being more than we expected a ton of school groups were there at that time.

OK Just counted and if I counted right next Monday I will have 36 weeks to go :woohoo:

So just when do the love bugs get bad???

We also went the first week of October once. It was our very first trip and it was HOT. And crowded. But I don't remember the love bugs being excessive. :confused3 They were also out on both of our May trips, but not bad.

I thought I had read previously the Love bugs were out 2-3rd weeks of Sept :confused3
But the trip report I was just reading was Oct 1-5th :scared1:

You know what is funny when we changed our dates from end of Oct to end of Sept for FD, I told DH how I read the love bugs came out earlier in Sept. I am not saying a word, gonna just wait and pray for no heat, no bugs and no huricanes :rotfl:

You and me both. :rotfl:

We love O'Hana's.. They wait isn't too long and they give you food right away!!!

We were there the last week of Sept last year and the love bugs had arrived!!!! It wasn't so bad...they don't bite like mosquitos.

Read a report today that last yr on Sept 15th a poster had seen the first one that day and had been there for 9 days previous.
Then by the 26th, posters were saying it was horrific.
So--- Sept 15th looks like around the beginning of it.

Shelly- does that mean I have 33 weeks? Count it for me please. I can't count now that I had to count out all those Mickeys. :faint:

We were there last year from Sept 24-Oct 2 and we had lots of love bugs. We mainly noticed them at the resort and not so much in the parks. Some people would freak out and swat at them, but they didn't bother us at all. :confused3

Well that's good news for me then. At least I will miss the horrific lovebugs. Too bad about the horrific heat.

Yep -- That puts you at 33 weeks JO! :woohoo: I like the sound of weeks better than months or days for some reason. :confused3:rotfl:
