Awww man, the Lapu Lapu discussion is coming out! It's a party now!!!

:cool1::cool1::lmao:

I've had one Lapu Lapu and I nursed that thing all the way through dinner and I got it about 15 minutes before we sat down.

They are yummy!!!

Of course, it was too cold in February for me to have my Grand Marnier slushie at Epcot, so that's on the list for September!

MMMMMMM! Lapu Lapus are my favorito! Last time we ate at 'Ohana I had one while waiting and 2 during dinner....and then had one heck of a night at MK! :rotfl:

Wow, thats a lot! I can only handle 1 sometimes 2 if the pineapples are small. They are sooooo good!

What a great idea to have time for a drink before hand! Is the lounge right next to Ohana?? We will be going there for dinner as well one night and I also want to try Kona too.

Its right next to Ohana. It can sometimes be difficult to find a seat, but somehow we always manage.

What's in them exactly?

Rum, rum, rum and some other yummy things! There is a picture of my last one in my signature.

It is a party now!:banana:The very first one I ever had went down way too easy and I learned to savor it or I would end up doing the one eye look so the room stops spinning.:rolleyes1

I love the Grand Marnier and Grey Goose slushies too. And the margaritas from the Ditch, I don't care for the ones outside at the stand. I think they use cheap tequila.

Okay, what is everyones favorite Disney adult beverage? Or for those that don't partake of the Devil's pop, what is your favorite specialty non alcoholic beverage?

Okay, what is everyones favorite Disney adult beverage? Or for those that don't partake of the Devil's pop, what is your favorite specialty non alcoholic beverage?

I will be making a list of these to try on my first time!! Please make sure to list where you can get them!

Add me to the list - Sept. 19-25, Contemporary! We weren't planning to go back quite this soon (this thread was started during my last trip, coincidentally - never thought I would be joining it!), but DH decided he wanted to plan HIS version of an ideal Disney trip. My version was 2 weeks at a moderate during peak season; his is 1 week at a deluxe during the slow season. We get the same budget for this competition. I think our trips will ultimately be judged equally great, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to hop right back on over to the World. :yay:

Favorite Drink: Anything served in a pineapple wins my vote. Bring on the Lapu Lapu's!

Question: I haven't been during Halloween season before. We are definitely going to MNSSHP, but would it be worth planning to go twice during the week we are there?

Okay folks. After a zillion changes I think I might have found a good itinerary for our trip. Background: it's just my BF and I, we've got free dining, it's my first Disney trip, I'm a vegetarian while my BF is meat-and-potatoes all the way, and we're using Disney transport. Any feedback would be appreciated!

Oh! When we were there in December it was FREEZING, but I was so looking forward to trying a Grey Goose slushie that I just went for it. That sucker was delicious! Right now I will say that was my favorite, but I really haven't tried all that many. Had a margarita at San Angel Inn, which was fine but nothing spectacular. Wish we could try the tequila bar but would have trouble enjoying that with two small kids. Def going to try the Grand Marnier slushie this time.

And that Lapu Lapu sounds wonderful. I had never investigated O'hana much, but decided to today, and am going to put that on our list for ADRs.

Def keep those drink suggestions coming. Has anyone had the Northwestern Sunset at Whispering Canyon Cafe? It sounds good.

Northwestern Sunset - Bacardi Coco & Bacardi Silver, Pineapple juice, and a splash of cranberry. - $7.00

Can you tell I've been perusing WDW menus lately? Thinking of purchasing an AP mainly so we can squeeze two trips in AND buy the TIW card to get 20% off the booze!

We were going to try Whispering Canyon Cafe this trip, but since we decided on a split stay, we took it off the list.

I keep saying that I'm going to get a beer at Biergarten sometime, but when I look, nothing sounds good and I'm a beer girl.

I may have to try the Grey Goose slushie, but I really like the Grand Marnier one, so I can't pass it up when I go to get one.

We've looked at the tequila menu, but like you, we have two children that would not enjoy it as much as us.

:lmao:

Dinner at Cali Grill (HalloWishes)

TIA for any advice and happy Friday!

We're going to be at the same parks on 9/12 and 9/13! Your plan looks good to me.

Does this:

Dinner at Cali Grill (HalloWishes)

Mean you're going to watch HalloWishes from your meal? If so, that's a great idea! Is it pretty easy to get a seat with a view at Cali Grill? (I've never been.)

If your not a coaster junkie, I probably wouldn't go. When our kids were little we did spend a lot of time in Camp Snoopy though. They loved that.

I like Kings Island too! We go knowing its no Disney, but we love coaster and Disney's just don't measure up to Cedar Points big thrill rides and there are lots of them!

I love coasters, but with health issues it is getting harder to enjoy them as much as I used to.... but my issue with Kings Island is the size of the seating on the rides. At Disney, there is no ride that I have wanted to ride that I have had to skip due to not fitting... can't say the same about anywhere else! Our last visit to KI in 2009, I wasn't able to ride the brand new coaster and barely fit some of the older ones.... kinda puts a damper on the day when you are constantly afraid of being turned away!

Hi L-Harper!

Thought I should think about those ADRs, since it's time to make them tomorrow! ;)

So here's my first try (guess it will get changed over the next 6 months!) :rotfl2:

We don't have a DDP (TiW instead) and we don't want to be too tied down - so we decided on one ADR per day and should we not feel like it we can always cancel.

Sept 1
Dinner at Grand Floridian Cafe

Sept 2
Dinner at Le Cellier

Sept 3
Dinner at Raglan Road (thought I should give it a second chance - your "fault".)

Sept 4
Dinner at The Wave

Sept 5
Lunch at Sanaa

Sept 6
Dinner at Il Mulino

Sept 7
Dinner at Cali Grill

Sept 8
Dinner at Wolfgang Puck's Cafe (maybe we'll just try for the Upstairs dining room)

Sept 9
Dinner at Kouzzina

Sept 10 - time to go back home again - this means another 30 days at Disney DONE!

Ha! We are also going to the same park on the 12th and 13th! I'm also going to try and get a lunch at Le Cellier on the 12th! Crazy!

Wow, a week at a deluxe (monorail resort no less!) during the slow season? I'd say that'll be a great trip! It sounds like a fun competition you and your DH have going. It's a win-win situation!

I was pregnant during my last trip and 6 years old the trip before that so I've never had an adult drink at WDW! They sound great!

I'll let the people who've actually been to a MNSSHP answer that one but I am SO excited for the one we'll be at and would probably go 2x if our daughter was older and we had the money in the budget. Once for the parade, shows and character greetings and once just to soak up the atmosphere and ride the rides w/ minimum wait!

Sorry, my drink of choice is almost always a Coke... sometimes a milkshake if I am in the mood. But you must try the BEVERLY at Club Cool in Epcot... its a ummm unique taste that everyone should try at least once!:drinking1:rolleyes1

Great minds think alike, eh? Yes we want to watch HalloWishes from Cali Grill since we aren't going to MNSSHP. L-Harper, I make my ADR's on the 10th...A day before you I believe? I'll let you know what kind of availability there is for Le Cellier for lunch on the 12th if you want.

Hi L-Harper!

Thought I should think about those ADRs, since it's time to make them tomorrow! ;)

Sept 2
Dinner at Le Cellier

Ooh you get to try the new dinner menu! Should be yummy!

I live here(Cedar Point)for 38yrs and work there in the summer to make some extra Disney money. Kings Island doesn't hold a candle to CP, and I love DIsney most but if you are a coaster buff....CP is ur place to be!!

So questions---have any of you cruised before on DCL? I have multiple times and have done the fish extender....hmmm you think we can still do it at our resort with fellow dis'ers? LOL My kids will miss the FE! Any thoughts?
We are going on our first cruise in September, so we'll be doing our first FE then (probably just family only, since we're traveling with a bunch).

There might be others who are interested at your resort, so you could always try to get something together. However, I know that some resorts have a Pay it Forward box where they put stuff in and leave it for the next family on the list. You could see if one is currently available on the DisBoards for your resort or start something like that yourself. Either way, I would definitely do an FE for your own family, so that they can still enjoy it. Best wishes whatever you choose!

I'm so glad you're going to try Raglan Road again. I'll feel terrible if you have a crappy time though. I hope its as great as I think it'll be! :rotfl: I'm also excited that you're doing Sanaa. I really wanted go there, but it just didn't work out. Next time!

Good news everyone waiting on Jetblue. They're extending the schedule on Monday!

Man my pump is going to see a LOT of action on this trip! :rotfl: Lapu Lapu, Pina Colava, Patron margaritas...yum!!! I could care less about coffee, the thing I miss most is a good drink!

Going to MNSSHP twice is an awesome idea if you are ok putting down the money for two days worht of tickets. You won't get everything done in one party, you might get it done in two...
