You all are so welcome! I love keeping this up to date. We sure are getting quite the list!!! :dance3:

So, sometimes I think I'm crazy... lol... I'm a Disney newbie as most of you know and I still cannot believe:

:dance3::yay: I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!!!!! :cool1: :thumbsup2 :goodvibes :woohoo:

I have our Disney dream board sitting on a table in our living room and I get emotional when I see it, or when my son asks to watch the planning DVD, or my other son walking up to our refrigerator and pointing to the map we have of WDW and saying in his sweet 18 month old little voice, "Di-ney Wooold!" AHH!!!! These next 216 days need to FLY by!

Bring lots of tissues into the parks! I remember taking my kids for the first time they were 5 and 2, it was magical. Seeing Disney through their eyes was like seeing it for the first time myself. It gave me chills to think this is how my parents felt taking us. Every trip to Disney is wonderful, but nothing beats your kids first time!:wizard:

Oh I TOTALLY agree!!! I love watching the magic through my girls' eyes!!! :flower3:

I still cry when I walk down Main Street for the first time every trip. :sad2: I NEVER cry over anything! But seeing that beautiful castle at the end of Main Street just does me in every time.

You are going to have the most magical time!!! :goodvibes:cool1:

Staying at the Polynesian for the first time - any advice or suggestions on Longhouses?
Also, we have three kids - balcony or patio?

Thanks!

I am so envious. You are going to have the best trip ever with your little ones and I agreee with pp who said the first time is the best :goodvibes

That depends on what category you booked and what kind of location you want. I personally prefer the balcony to sit on at night while the kids are asleep and I like the location of Tokelau and Samoa. :thumbsup2

So today was the day we were going to be getting in the car and driving to Disney. I wasn't looking forward to this day but now that 5 out of the 6 of have temps, congestion, aches, coughs and runny nose I am actually pretty relieved we are not going to be in the car for 20+ hours.

Now I am just hoping for a healthy September!!

Welcome to the DIS! :cool1:

This will be our first Poly stay as well. You really just need to look over the Poly map and decide what you want to be closest to (TTC, GCH, main pool, quiet pool, boat dock, GF, etc) and make your request accordingly and hope for the best! :wizard: Some people love the patio. We prefer to be on the highest floor. If you have little ones and have a stroller/lots of stuff to lug around then a patio might be the most convenient - no stairs or elevators to mess with.

Be sure to check out the Poly FAQ thread -- lots of great info there! :goodvibes

Wow that was a blessing in disguise, huh?

That was always my biggest worry when we went in the fall and winter -- that one or all of us would be sick. This time we are going the week before our school starts, so less chance of germs/sickness!

Oh goodness, sending best wishes for speedy recoveries, I suppose it is good everyone , well almost everyone is sick at the same time. I only had 2 DS but they always took turns getting sick which meant weeks of moaning and groaning that they were dying :rotfl:

We literally went straight from stomach bug to whatever this is. My son actually came down with both at the same time. My husband is the only one not sick, and I am fine with that as he is a pain when he is sick. I do envy his immune system though. Must be all the hot sauce :confused3:laughing:.....

Wow! I guess it is best that you aren't going now. That would not be a very fun vacation. I hope all of you get better soon! You do make a very good point about why its good to be going when its HOT in September. :rotfl: I keep debating on if this is a good time to go our not.

That would not be a fun drive! We have been sick at Disney and it isn't any fun. Are you driving in September? We are driving this year for the first time since 2006.:scared1:

:lmao:My dh always seems to miss out on stomach bugs and colds too. He also eats a lot of hot sauce. It must work like a disinfectant for the immune system!

Maybe that's what I need to do..... :rotfl2:

Yes we are driving in September. I actually like the drive, and with four kids it is the only way we can go to Disney every couple of years. Flying is insanely expensive!!

Maybe I'll have to start trying more hot sauce :thumbsup2
