Here are the pics of my Ursula costume. My daughter showed me how to post them. WooHoo! :woohoo: Watch out Disboard. I have photobucket and I am no longer afraid to use it! Now I have to figure out how to shrink them.

Just checking in to change my signature! Turned 32 today and realized I hadn't updated other birthdays in my signature either. DH turned 36 last month and DD turned 6 two weeks ago. Lots of birthdays going around!

Happy Birthday!!! :thumbsup2

Thanks!:flower3:
Besides the article ThereYouSeeHer posted there is also a big thread about it here on the Dis http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2746712&page=11.I'm really bummed too because DD loves and adores Flynn. She was more excited about getting the Flynn doll for her birthday than the Rapunzel doll,
We scheduled a whole day of ours around just this meet and greet, and I bought her a cute custom outfit just for that meet :sad2:
So now I have to re-figure our plan and I guess meeting hime at the MNSSHP will be a priority for us.
There's a huge facebook campaign going on right now to "Save Flynn Rider" lol and I know several have written to WDW to express their feelings about him leaving. It just stinks...given the popularity of the movie and the meet and greet.

Exact same thing here! We planned our MK day around it too!! Purposely got 8:05 ADR at CP, just so we could get in line for the M&G before rope drop!! My daughter has an amazing Rapunzel & Flynn custom set to wear for that purpose! :sad2: This just sucks!! She is also getting the Flynn doll for her birthday in August. I picked it up at the Disney outlet in Pigeon Forge when we were on vacation...among several other great finds!! Bummed.....I'll join the petition! :wizard:

I was just in Pigeon Forge for the first time this past weekend! How did I not know they had a Disney Outlet?!? Ugh. Such a bummer!

Did you have a good time? I was there the previous weekend (Father's Day weekend)....on our way home from Isle of Palms, SC. We always spend a day or two in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg on our way home. LOVE the Smokies! The Disney outlet was at the Tanger outlet mall. I really liked it! Found TONS of cool things! Ended up buying a silverware set with Mickey ears on it. It was 16 pc and only $12! We've been needing some extra silverware anyways, lol. I also bought a Phineas & Ferb beach towel (one I hadn't seen anywhere else before), a Rapunzel nightgown, a Jasmine nightgown, Flynn Rider doll, Tiana doll (we had Naveen, but not Tiana yet!), and Ariel's wedding dress costume. The dolls and costume are birthday gifts for Mikella's 6th bday coming up in August. All of their swimming suits were $7.oo each!! Mikella already has a zillion suits, and we just bought two more at the Gap outlet the same day.....so I didn't get any at Disney. :confused3: There was a TON more I could've spent money on in that store, but I reserved myself.....reminding myself that we'll be IN the parks in 2 months and can shop then too! :yay:

I love Pigeon Forge, we normally go every fall and stay in a cabin when the leaves turn. We're skipping it this year, since we're hitting Disney instead. I may talk him into a weekend in October if I can. Their Disney outlet is great! I used to spend forever in Lil Dolly's, too, before the girls got old enough to protest the dresses!:lmao:

Happy be-lated birthday ThereYouSeeHer!

I've been on vacation for the last 2 weeks so this is the first I've heard about Flynn. DS wanted to see him sometime, he has no desire to see Rapunzel or dance, so we are one less in line. I'd bet there are more like us. Although he loves long hair, so maybe he'll surprise me and want to see Rapunzel.

Yes, we had a good time. Gatlinburg was beautiful and we drove through and hiked parts of the Smoky Mountain National Park. Pigeon Forge was a little too commercial for my tastes, but we still had fun mini-golfing! We stayed in a cabin in Pigeon Forge/Sevierville. I saw the Tanger Outlets, but we didn't do any shopping, so I just didn't see it. Maybe next time!

Quick question for you lovely ladies! We currently have base tickets, but I'm seriously thinking about upgrading to park hoppers. I figured one park a day was enough, since this is the girls' first trip, but I'm seriously debating that decision. Do you think park hoppers are a must to get the most bang for your buck, or are you fine with base tickets on the first trip?

Are you kidding me? I bought that online and paid $50.00 for it...UGH!!!! We don't have an outlet near me. Just the store. Congrats on a great buy!!:)

Since you are staying there long enough to visit each park at least once, I would personally stay with the base tickets.

We generally do park hoppers because we take short vacations. However, last year, we chose not to do a park hopper and it was very freeing. Previously, we always felt obligated to jump around between parks to get our money's worth. But once we decided not to park-hop, it was nice to know we had an entire day devoted to a single park. It made the vacation more relaxing because we were able to stay at one park and just enjoy it.

The main reason we get hoppers is because it gives us more options for dining and gives us more options if it decides to pour buckets. If it's raining I think the best park to be in is DHS because nearly everything to do is inside a building. Also, if you plan to do EMH, it gives you more options as you can go to another park during the day and just go to the park with EMH during that time frame with a reduced crowd.

okay, I have a problem with feeling like I "deserve" my disney trip. I am going Aug 31-Sept 6th.

I want to go to celebrate my ma, she passed away February 20th. I don't have anyone to go with at this time and I don't really want to wait, because if I wait for someone to go with me, I don't know when I will ever go to disney again.

I am into the dining, so I know I will fill my time with two meals a day *I have deluxe* including a signature for dinner. I also enjoy taking tons of pictures. I think I will be okay by myself, I go out all the time to eat and shop by myself. I just need a little encouragement to go and have a good time.
