September 2011 - The Planning Continues! (2nd Thread)

All I have to say is wow! You're going to keep yourself awfully busy for the next few months; September will be here before you know it! :yay: We've decided to add an additional night to our stay; I really want to be there for the 40th anniversary, so that's that. My countdown calendar is at 140 days; I'm getting ridiculously happy!
This may have been answered.................when is the 40th anniversary??? :confused3

The 40th anniversary is October 1!

We had the waterpark option on our tickets and have decided to drop it cause our girls really don't do much sliding and they will have Cedar Point passes all season long so they can waterpark it here everyday if they want and roller coast their hearts content. I wanted to have the make my 4 day park ticket into 6-7 days instead so I can be in the MK on Oct 1:dance3:
It's my favorite place on earth--(well besides DCL) so I should be there on that day:lovestruc

Yes I will be real busy. Gonna finish up these tops today, start on a special twirl skirt for DD to wear to 1900 Park Fare and then Epcot shirts!!! Off to Muffins with Mom at school!! Everyone have a fab day!!

Didn't they on top of the admission cost use a ticket system... you had to use tickets to ride each ride!
When we were planning our first vaca my mom asked me about e-tickets and I had no idea what she was talking about.

KELLY - Have fun at Pop :)

FortheLoveofDCL - Nice job on the shirt and your daughter is a cutie :lovestruc

So crafty ladies - how would you make a TRON costume? :confused3 DS wants to wear that at MNSSHP.

My Etsy order shipped yesterday. Can't wait to get the girls there pirate shirts.

OMG Help!

I am having to change our entire park plan! I just found out about the Disney YES (youth education series) and DD took one look at the flyer for the ocean discoveries class and all but begged to go. Since I hadn't planned on starting our trip at Epcot it kind of rearranges everything for us.

I managed to switch around our Rose and Crown and Crystal Palace ressies and Animal Kingdom on Wednesday is still okay. But now we are doing Hollywood Studios on Thursday and gasp, there is no buffet option there. Sooo, what to do?

I had planned on having dinner at Ohana that night after a day at Magic Kingdom and now I am thinking of doing breakfast at Boma and leaving the park to do dinner and coming back for Fantasmic. The question is what could we get to out of the park that would work and not be too hard to get to?

Any ideas?

I think I've said this like 12 times already, but October 1st is my oldest daughter's birthday...she loves that she shares her birthday with WDW! I'm sure MK will be crowded that day, but I do care. Ha! We have BBB that morning followed by CRT....

Then if it gets too crowded we can always hop somewhere else....

Our HS day we are going to sci-fi. They have the Hollywood and vine buffet there but we didn't care for it. I vaguely remember thinking of leaving the park to go to the boardwalk for dinner before we decided on sci fi. I really should look into the YES program. It seems right up my daughter's alley.

It sounds like an amazing bday :cloud9:

Hello everyone! I have been reading along but haven't had time to comment. I have taken a short break from Disney planning to work on a two night trip to Chicago; which I am finding extremely difficult. Planning a trip to Disney with DD1 is so much easier. :rotfl: Hope everyone has a wonderful Mother's Day weekend. :tink:

So I am a "newbie" but I have been lurking for a while now :) I love all the great info at this forum!! My family is visiting Sept 17-23 and I am wondering what everyone's opinions are on how busy WDW is around that time? I haven't been since 2007 and that was Thanksgiving week...

Thanks! :)

Hey girls....busy today. Finished up the shirts and sending them out to Robin tomorrow...hoping they will fit her girls ok. So I decided to try and make DD(7) a twirl skirt for 1900 Park Fare. Still need to decide on a top, whether I make it from same fabrics, or what. PJ top she's wearing is not part of the outfit:rotfl: She thinks she's just my model, has no idea it's for her:) Just need to find some crinoline to go under it. Thinking maybe of looking at second hand shops or bridal shops for it!

Hope everyone's planning is going well....oh BTW our friends our coming the same week we are. I am excited, we always have family game nt together and stinks that I can't talk about it with them....well I got Dis!
