September 2011 - The Planning Continues! (2nd Thread)

Sorry if this has already been asked...has anyone found a good deal on a car rental in September? I know many of you are not renting cars, but I'm sure some are. It seems like all the current deals (mousesavers, travelzoo, etc) only are valid through the end of July. I remember booking my car rentals with coupon codes a few months in advance on previous trips...and so far it's looking like my best bet is waiting a little bit.

So we are planning some fun activities while at the parks and have come up with a couple - does anyone have other ideas for us...

we are doing
- Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for girls
- Pirates League for boys
- Pick a Pearl (super excited over this)
- 2 or 3 character breakfast
- Fantasmic
- MNSSHP

Hopefully we will have add some relaxation in there some where too... lol :rotfl:

We are on the QSDP so there is a couple of TS meals we are doing op. We are going for 10 days so we have a day where we can go to dtd and eat at WPE and then go back to the resort and hang at the pool and do the girls hairwraps that night and there cacatures also. I think those things below will probably run me around 500.00. We are bringing a 1000.00. The girls each have around 100.00 saved already. We are paying for everything below. There is no MNSSHP the time we are there so we may also go do a movie night.

We are doing
Pirates league for the girls
Hairwraps at pop
T-rex lunch with build a dino
Cacture at pop
Garden Grill dinner

Can someone please tell me it's time for vacation...now???

oh I LOVE pick a pearl! make sure you do it at EPCOT! there is one in DTD but not nearly as fun! I also have gotten Henna tattoos in the world showcase quite a few years back. when i went in feb this year they were a bit pricey, but i am going back this sept and i really want one!

My older dd has super long hair and picked 2 of the fancy beads so hers was 35.00. My friend just went down and her dd was only 25.00. Last time she had it done it lasted for a little over a month. I'm not sure what the price is but they charge per a inch and it is cash only.

Anybody else watch 4th of July Fireworks last night while singing the Wishes soundtrack in your head? LOL. Disney fireworks have ruined me for any other show, I was so underwhelmed by our city fireworks in comparison.

We're not renting a car this time but we were just there in June and got a midsize for $150/ week. at Hertz through Hotwire. We have used them several times at various locations and the always seem to be less then other offers. We have gotten several different companies and never had a problem.

How about Kim Possible World Showcase Adventure at Epcot... it sounds like fun and DM and I are gonna try it this year.

I never knew about it till last year, and skipped it because we have no kids in our group... but I have read about others doing it with no children, so gonna go for it.

I forgot about that - my DD is 8 and LOVES Kim Possible... will have to make sure I do that with her - her BFF who is coming with us is younger (almost 5) - wonder if she would enjoy it...

Hi everyone! I'd like to join the September group!

Thanks the only thing I'm really disappointed about is the Little Mermaid. We could go Sat or Sunday before we leave but that wasn't part of my plan.:sad2: Maybe I can re-work something.

There is only one on that list that truly upsets me!!! The Studio Backlot Tour is always a must on our list... this makes me sad!!
