I got my second pkg of Mickey Mail today!!!!!!!! Now hurricane season is starting to haunt me...my BF leaves on Thursday.......any thoughts!?

I just read this morning that Hurricane Irene is not expected to make landfall in Florida, but rather possibly the Carolinas. I would just keep an eye on it. The strength and path can change over the next couple of days. No use worrying yet!

My DM also has mobility issues (also from back surgery and knee replacement... along with other issues). We rent a scooter from a local company so she doesn't have to be pushed around..... is this an option for you? Gives more freedom...

We tried that once - she got her license revoked!

One month from today I will be running around like a loon, finishing packing the minivan and our cooler for food on the long ride down.

We are flying SW and I'm paying the 40.00 for the return flight for early bird check in. I won't have access to a computer so it will be worth it.

We did the same for the return portion of our flight, I'd rather just be automatically checked in so I don't need to worry about it Flying SW is going to be an experience since we have only flown Airtran before with the comfort and convenience of assigned seats. But we couldn't beat SW low, low price we got an airfare

Same with us! One month from today I was be running around like crazy getting ready for our 1pm flight!!! Cant believe I am finally going to be in days, no longer months!!

Oh that's true!!! We used a travel agent, so I know that adds a little to the time. I think I am going to start stalking the mail carrier!

I think I'm just excited for it all to come because it will feel THAT much more real. If that makes any sense!

Our pack came with an autograph book for my ds! He saw Mickey and friends on the cover and got so excited. He has just started watching tv. And that is only because I want him to know who the Disney characters are. So, when he got excited about them on the book I was so happy.

WOOHOO it's getting so close for all of us.

I can't really pack too much right now because a lot of what we are bringing can't be packed too far in advanced lol but I do have a "goes to disney" bag going in the closet lol. I'm putting all the little things like the princess pens I got at the dollar store (cute BTW), and the toy story post it notes, and stickers, ring pops, our cooling neck scarves (which arrived yesterday and they are AWESOME)

I just keep adding things to the bag as I find them lol

I've got about 2 weeks to go! I'm really starting to get excited! I just found out yesterday that I may have an extra person on my trip which may be a little tricky with dinning, but I'm not gonna stress about it. I just can't wait to go back home to AKL!

Okay, I'm starting to get anxious. I got the DME's but I want the rest of the Mickey Mail. Every day I look in the mail box and outside my door....and nothing.
so, now I'm back to packing and reading the DIS.
I'm so excited for everyone who will be leaving soon, and excited for those of us who are less than a month. It's wonderful to see days instead of months in the ticker.
My DH use to think I was nuts for getting ready so early, but he finally understands why I do it. I don't want to be stressed out last minute trying to pull everything together for our trip. Going to Mickey's place is different than any other vacation. He's starting to throw things in his suitcase. I'm lucky I have a hubby who loves Disney as much as I do.

Can I ask how you did the autograph book? It's so cute

I used a Cricut to cut the Mickey heads. for the covers and back covers I just glued 4 sheets of black cardstock together to make it thicker. I'm not good at cutting chipboard or thin cardboard. The pages are non-textured white cardstock. I hole punched all of the ears and put a metal ring through and tied ribbon to them. Is this what you mean?
