September 2011 - The Planning Continues! (2nd Thread)

Thanks for the scoop on the t-shirt sale! I have been eyeing up the shirts for a while and I finally bought two day. One for me and one for my soon-to-be-DH on our honeymoon!

I've been starting to clean my house in preparation for our vacation- So much to do!! :laundy:

So glad other people do this too! It is nice to come home to a clean house, and my fears of 'something happening' and people finding out that I don't clean under the fridge, organize my undies or have all the laundry done are minimized. :rotfl2:

16 days left! Ill start packing this weekend! Not to mention, DH and DS (almost 18) clothes, phones, ipods, shoes, toilitries.. WEW!

Why are men's shoes soooo big? :scared1: I realize their feet are bigger, but do they really need all that padding and rubber? They take up way more room than necessary imo.

It's a good thing I knew I needed new tires! I had a blowout on the way to work after dropping my oldest DD at the high school,

Glad you're all okay. Blowouts can be scary. Check one more day off the calendar! WooHoo!

Congrats on the upcoming nuptials!! You are too adorable, bet you make a beautiful bride!:bride:

The stuff I ordered from the Disney Store says it's en route to my house. Yay! I was so happy to even get free shipping too. I got t-shirts for everyone and things for my DD Halloween costume. She wants to be Tinkerbell this year. Little does she know she gets to wear it for MNSSHP too! :goodvibes

I know, I always have high hopes for getting the house completely done before we leave. It never fully materializes though! But, this year, we're on the right track! I went out last night to replenish cleaning and laundry products, so that we can make good progress through the weekend!

Oooo shopping is always fun! Disneystore.com has t-shirts for $10...they are calling my name! :rotfl:

Getting ready for Disney, going back to work (I'm a teacher) and getting a little one ready for starting kindergarten is starting to wear me out. I have so much to do and I start pre-service days on Monday! :scared1: I have no idea how I will finish everything when there is so much going on in September. I guess I'd better step it up these last few days off.

I posted this on the restaurant thread and was wondering your guys' opinion: I need help!

"We have an ADR at Boma for our last night in September, but I'm worried I'm not going to enjoy it. All I've been hearing in reviews is that its really sweet and uses a lot of cinnamon, vanilla, and fruits in everything. For someone who honestly hates those types of flavors in a main meal (I think those flavors should be in dessert only) am I going to hate everything? Other than that, I'm a VERY adventurous eater. I really think my husband and two boys will like it though.

I really want to try Sanaa, but my husband doesn't find the photos of the food appetizing. He has meat texture issues and is worried that the cuts of meat at Sanaa aren't going to be to his liking.

Please help us! Should we just scrap both places and find somewhere else? We are picking from those two because we really want to explore AKL, but I'm not sure if either of these meals are going to make us happy."

L-Harper, I say try Boma. The great thing about buffets is if you try something and don't like it, you can try something else.It gives you a chance to experiment with new flavours. Boma has plenty of choices for the less adventurous and a pretty nice carving station. My DD's have always had a disdain for cinnamon, however Boma was their favorite TS. I highly recommend the soups! :thumbsup2 Oddly, we didn't care for the zebra domes, but there was a mango dome tart that was to die for.

I agree. You should try it. I was not sure we would like it either, but I really enjoy it. They have a great carving station with beef and salmon that my family loves. There's baked chicken, noodles with plain sauce, etc for the kids. They have great salads and I love their different Hummas. I think there is definitely something to eat. Sanaa, on the other hand, has a lot of Indian inspired dishes. If your family likes that, then give it a try. I found that I didn't like a lot of the cuisine and found it a lovely restaurant but I was very limited to what I could actually order. Not a big fan of Indian food, but I know others love it.

Gosh darn it!! I want to order some t-shirts but I already have enough for this trip... Maybe for my next trip in November???
These are the ones I am thinking about:
- http://www.disneystore.com/adults-p...ess-tee-for-women/mp/1287721/1000777+1000659/

And dbf will NOT wear any Disney clothes. I bought him an EPCOT shirt only because he loves EPCOT and it ONLY has the flags on it. I got him 2 Disney Hawaiian shirts that he is willing to wear because he loves those tacky things!! Although the Disney Hawaiian shirts are pretty nice.
I really, really think I should get him the Grumpy shirt!! LOL :rotfl:http://www.disneystore.com/adults-p...rumpy-tee-for-men/mp/1287730/1000777+1000659/

Oh well.... hey at least we only have 21 days left!! In exactly 3 weeks, we will be at DHS right now. Hopefully TSM will have been ridden as well as RNR & TOT!! WOOT WOOT !!

My husband didn't find the menus appetizing there either so last time we went we ventured over to AKL and looked around and viewed the animals etc, and stopped in at the quick service location and got a few items that he would eat and I still got to try zebra domes and one of the soups.......you might try that if you are interested. It is a beautiful location.

girls and I are getting haircuts today going to trim up this mop of a mane.

I did that last night. I have super short hair so if I don't go every 3 weeks for a trim it looks bad. Well I went 5 weeks beacuse I was trying to get it done before the trip. Let me tell you what a diffrence. :)

ugh its been 8 weeks for me. I usually have my hair cut short too but i've been kinda growing it out and now its just driving me insane in the front

Go to Boma! Its a wonderful buffet full of all kinds of choices. I think its one of the better buffets on property as well. The staff is very accommodating that if you would need anything I'm sure they'd be very helpful!
