September 2011 - The Planning Continues! (2nd Thread)

I know you've been really conflicted about staying at POP or switching to a mod/CBR but I think it sounds like you made a good decision!:goodvibes I've never stayed at CBR, but like you, we love Pop and $750 does seem like a lot of money to upgrade. I'm sure you'll have another great stay at Pop

I haven't heard anything about them opening later times for PL on MNSSHP nights yet. I think I read in the past they waited a bit to see how much the demand was for the party nights before opening the later times. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later though :wizard:

If we really enjoyed the regular dining plan we would do it. But we did the QSDP with just a couple of adr's and we loved it. We had lots to choose from and I only ate a burger once because I wanted to. I still have til tommorow am to change my mind. LOL

I'm with you on this! I love the pools at the mods and deluxes, but it's not worth it to us for that extra money. The photobook throw-in to me is a little odd, but I love all things picture related so I'm good with it!:yay: From what I've figured, the FD is going to save us in the neighborhood of of $600, even with the photobook, so I could just about have a happy fit right about now. I'm glad, boy did I need some good news in the worst way this week!

I hear you last week was so long. When I heard about FD early Thursday Am I was like yippie!! We already have the kids free promo and added the QSDP so Fd don't save us a ton but enough that I'm excited. That 268.00 will cover our MNSSHP tickets.

I'm definitely excited about suddenly having more spending money for souvenirs, along with our MNSSHP tickets, just kind of coming back to me. I have been antsy since it was announced on Thursday, you would think it were Christmas Eve at my house!

Can anyone give me details of the latest promotion that everyone is talking about. I have already booked back in December for our stay at Pop in Sept with Free dining, but would be interested in a photobook.

Thanks

I have some catching up to do. I've been offline since friday. My 18yr old ds thought friday would be a good day to have an emergency appendectomy:sick:. Actually, he waited three days to tell me his lower right abdomine hurt. Why is it so hard for a male to admit they aren't feeling well? Anyway, we just got home from the hospital and he's on his way to a full recovery.

From what I have read it sounds like people are really benefitting from free dining.

I do have one question. Does anyone know how far out you can book the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party? It looks like it could be a fun thing to do for an anniversary celebration.

This is how I bought mine on the WDW website:

Go to the tab that says Tickets and Packages
Then click Buy Park Tickets
Browse Available Tickets
Special Events

HTH! :thumbsup2

Thanks I got it. I wanted to see how much tics were with the tax. A little over 200.00,

I know I'm getting up early so I can call at 7am. I'm usually in the bathroom at that time getting ready.

You are actually paying for the book. It adds a addtional 90.90 to the cost of the FD package. It is cheaper just to buy the book when you get back. I think the photopass sight says they start at 79.99.

So we are paying for it.

I wonder if it includes the cd as well, then it will be worth it

Your daughter is just so cute Mikella!!!!!

Thanks for sharing your cute pictures!!!!

I have a TA who is taking care of all this stuff for me- she called me last week when the visa offer came out and asked if I was interested, that it would be about $100 more than the FD package that I'd booked in December. I asked if the CD was included because you're right- it would still be a savings- she checked on it for me and told me that it was just the book.

But please don't take just my word on this- check it out yourself and let us know what you find. I get the pre-paid photopass without the book and it's somewhere around $100.

And even though it suggests a 5-night stay, the minimum is 3-nights.

Got our package upgraded to FD with no problems, even coming in on the last day of the code. Our package went from roughly $2400 to a little over $1800, even with the Photobook. The CM I spoke to said it is just the book, not the CD. All in all, it was a great start to Monday!

We're in for Sept for sure! 12-18 @ the POP! FD was a deal breaker for us and we booked it this AM! :cool1:

I'm still on hold.

Oh no, glad your son is on his way to feeling better now.

I don't know how far in advance you can book the dessert party. I have seen pics of it though and it looks good!

Whew. Been out of it for a few days. Nothing terrible, just a normal attack of life!

About MNSSHP...we are doing basic tickets, one park per day, it's my understanding that the halloween party is something entirely separate and would have no impact on us if we decided to do a different park besides Magic Kingdom that day.

Is that right?

Yes you can also do the Mk that day it just closes at 7pm when the party starts. If you don't have a wrist band they kick you out in a disney way. LOL
