September 2011 - The Planning Continues! (2nd Thread)

Come on, FD for GP, come onnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!! We don't do CCs at all in my house, but I was very tempted to open one today!:rotfl:I didn't get free dining on the first go around, since we had to change our dates unexpectedly, and I'm going to be beyond bummed if this doesn't go GP (or if all of the available packages are taken). We're already booked on the 24th, I worked it enough ways last time to know that we'll still be able to take advantage of our dates; will they make us rebook, or can I just trade out the room discount off we're currently booked with and make it a FD package instead?:scared1:

Talk to dh we are upgrading to a moderate on Monday. So I made adr's and then changed them around with no problem today. The total cost of the upgrade is 550.00. But we are getting the fridge so that will save on cost. We will place a order threw GG for milk, beer and breakfest items for the girls. Since we will be loosing 4 snacks a day from the QSDP we will need to get some breakfest items.

I still not sure which moderate. POFQ or CBR? The only one we haven't stayed at is CBR.

It will be released to GP on Monday it is stated in the disney visa offer.

Did you add tickets to your room?

My kids really like the pool at CBR. I am sad that they only way we can stay there is to get two rooms now. We really like staying there. I am trying to decide if we should switch to Port Orleans. Not real excited about staying there but it is a lot cheaper!

I have stayed at POR we loved it. Love the entire theming of that resort. The boat to dtd is great. My only problem with it is I need a pool my kids can handle. I think the slide there won't work for my girls. They need a lame slide. LOL

I did! We actually turned it into a full package, so we have the QSDP too. But, by my calculations, FD would save us a WHOLE LOT MORE than the room discount. I'm thinking enough to tack on an extra night. I'm hoping and praying this whole thing pans out. :woohoo:

I've been avoiding writing my English essay that's due today like the plague!! Sooooooo not in the mood for school, especially since I got the email yesterday morning about the FD offer coming out!! I've been frantically trying to come up with an alternate plan in case I want to take advantage of the FD and switch my days a bit. I'm not sure if it will save us money or not. I'll have to wait until Monday to call since I don't have the Disney Visa. If I AM able to switch dates around, it would allow us to be there for the first MNSSHP that we were originally gonna miss. It would also put us on cheaper days for flights (since I haven't booked flights yet). BUT......I REALLY, REALLY didn't want to take Mikella out of school 2 extra days. With the plans we have now, we'll be there over Labor Day weekend, so she would be off anyways. With the new plan she will miss 7 days instead of 5. Anyways, I went ahead and booked some additional ADR's to make sure I have the ones I want if I change dates. That all works out ok. I was a little worried about ADR's. So.....now I sit and wait until Monday. Oh yeah.....and I better get that essay written!! :headache:

I kind of made an itinerary for our days that goes:

Day 1...DTD (since we will be arriving at MCO at approx 10 am)
Day 2...Magic Kingdom
Day 3...Disney Hollywood Studios
Day 4...Island of Adventure (gotta see Harry Potter) & Mall at Millenia
Day 5...EPCOT
Day 6...Resort Day (to really enjoy AKL) then MNSSHP (fingers crossed)
Day 7...Animal Kingdom
Day 8...EPCOT (to enjoy Food & Wine Festival)
Day 9...Departure day :(

I came up with this based on EMH & Special Events (things of course are subject to change). Now onto Dining Reservations.

Yes Fd would be cheaper. Go to the disney sight price out a vacation without dining and just add the tickets you want. You will get the price. Then just tack on another 90.00 for the book and that should give you a pretty close exact price.

Happy for you but sucks for us cause we come in Sept 24th:scared1:

I called twice and spoke to two different CMs today. They both were in agreement that, even with an arrival date of 9/24, you are still eligible for the free dining throughout the length of your stay. Monday cannot get here fast enough!:cool1:

Is it too late to join this party? I don't know what rock I was hiding under, but I totally missed this thread- I'm a single mom headed off to WDW with my two boys (17 & 15) for our last family vacation together. It will be a little bittersweet for me, as you can imagine.

My eldest boy will be graduating in June of 2012, so we're going, in part, to celebrate that, and in part to celebrate my youngest's birthday- he misses the Segway experience by just over 2 weeks!

We're going to be there 9/10 through the 19th and staying at POR. I got the FD promo last December and had originally hoped to stay at the CR, but with gas prices and heating oil prices doing what they're doing, I had to kick it back a bit. This way too, we'll have more money for the stuff that really matters- SOUVENIRS!

Most everything is done now- ADRs in place, itinerary is set and now it's just the waiting part.

Hoping to get to know a few of you and looking forward to waiting for September with folks who are as excited about their Vacations as I am!

Welcome!:cheer2: So gald you found us! We're all helping each other pass the time until September gets here!

Hope I'm not too late either!!

We are coming from Australia for 12 nights at POR, with free dining, arriving on the 21st of September and we are beyond excited!!

ADR's are done and everything is planned and the Australian dollar is going CRAZY at the moment - and that means more shopping - so it's a win win situation - I get some great deals - and America gets my money!! :woohoo:

:yay: More September travellers! Welcome!

I just purchased our MNSSHP tickets for the 9/16 party

So nice to have another thing done and paid for, can cross that off the list :woohoo:

The three of us will be there on the same evening! My TA is getting the tickets for us as we speak. We went to the Halloween party the last time we were there and had such a fun time.

I just bought my MNSSHP tickets too! FINALLY! However, it took me a long time to find where I could buy them on the Disney website. Why don't they put a link on the MNSSHP page? I had to go to the trusty Dis to find out exactly how to buy them.

Now only 140 days left for me! 40 days until the countdown chain goes up!!:cool1:

I know hurry up tommorow. We were on the QSDP aslo we added toour package at pop. But we made adr's just in case FD came out. Then we would upgrade to a moderate. The only thing my package is paid in full with the FD promo at pop. Once I upgrade it will make me owe around 700.00. But we are getting the regular dining plan also.

MNSSHP tickets are on sale now on WDW site! :dance3:

Yeah for this. I won't be able to purchase ours til we nail everything down. We are still working on adr's. When I first made them I just put my must haves in like character dining and stuf. Know we are looking into fantasmic package or HDDR.
