September 2011 - The Planning Continues! (2nd Thread)

I can't wait to eat my favorite bread pudding at Boma, Grey Goose Slushie in Epcot, Dole Whip of course, the flank steak at Mama Melrose, and love the fruit cobbler dessert from Garden Grill.

What does a Grey Goose Slushie taste like? No, I've never had Grey Goose before.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has Disney nightmares LOL. I always have dreams that we are at disney and I can't get everyone moving to get to the parks and we don't end up getting there until night time and we have no time to do anything and I'm so ANGRY lol Then I wake up and realize... I have a problem :lmao:

I just had a dream the other night that I was in HS and my family refused to hurry to TSM and by the time we get there the FP are gone for the whole day. I just keep yelling at everyone to hurry up and everyone tells me they can't go any faster. I know how you feel. I always wonder if other people stress this much about having the perfect trip. With our trip only be 5 days this time, I feel like everyone moment counts. Maybe that's why I have these silly dreams.

We are definately cancelling our Sept stay at POFQ. Once we find out DH's new work schedule, I am hoping to change it to another time where we will end up saving $16. Waiting til Monday or Tuesday to find out his new schedule is driving me nuts. I hope the rooms are still available that I found today!!

I am looking forward to trying a Butterfinger Cupcake. :) I also want to get a chocolate croissant in France.

The old standards I am looking forward to are just my regular dole whip.

In general I just can't wait to eat good food and not have to cook it or clean up.

It's at a booth at France. I haven't tasted it yet, but I did try the Grand Marnier Orange Slushie. It tastes like a spiked orange creamsicle. I prefer a creamsicle popsicle to that, but most people would beg to differ with me.

Oh gosh that fruit cobbler at Garden Grill the whipped vanillia that is on top yummy. I'm so good when I go there and do the fish and veggies and maybe a little mash and then I rinse it down with that yummy cobbler. Last year it was apple the year before it was a berry one.

Ok I know we leave in August but you were kind enough to let me stay. Thanks

But we leave in 14 days. :cool1: I'm really excited to be trying CBR. Even though it was a last minute like last week upgrade.

I left my house at 9am and just got back a hour ago. Trying to get things done for school shopping. Riley has to go back the day after so I had to get a lunch box, thermos and a hot and cold bowl. She picked Littlest Pet shop, lunch bag,Thermos and matching bowl at target total cost :scared1: 35.00. Lunch here is 2.50 so I told her she could have it once a week. Plus the meals I send her with are a much better and healther option. So we went to Justice and that was another:scared1: experience. But we are done. Yeah!!

Tommorow We are going threw her room and cleaning house as far as toys. Her birthday party is next Sunday. I also do one thing special with them and she wants to go see spy kids. Trying to figre oout when to fit that in. I'm having my hair done Wednesday next week pedi and my nails filled.

I did start the packing and have things in piles I think I have most everything on my list. Then the girls want to go vist tommorow with there grandparents at some point. I think I'm going to need thearpy soon. LOL

That is one busy schedule! I cant wait to hear how youre stay at CBR goes! My inlaws went this past June and loved it, so Im hoping to hear the same from you! I havent been since I was 2.. so we're talking 21 years ago and needless to say I remember nothing about the resort!

Poor DS is getting in his molars and he is so cranky and unhappy, that nothing I do is helping making the situation any better. I cant wait for them to finish breaking through so my happy DS comes back. I am however estatic that this is happening now, rather than next month. I really want DS to enjoy himself since really, this trip is all about him!

Yeah, it's changes all the time, but it's always some yummy fruit. This June it was cranberry peach cobbler. It was so delicious. Can't wait to have it again! :goodvibes

Have you joined the resort changers thread yet?? You would be in good company, and it may entice you to change again within the next two weeks! Here's a link, it offers an interesting read at the least:

We arrive the same day from just a little farther east and I haven't gotten any mail yet. Of course my TA seems to have forgotten about me and only put my last payment through last Thursday! :scared:

I spoke with Disney today on something else and he said everything was being printed - should have in about 10 days- Woohoo! Can't wait :cool1:

We had our group meeting last night - everyone is so excited - majority r first timers so had tons of questions - worked on some door decorations and repacked for the 5th time today :lmao: dd wasn't around so much easier where its a surprise

I wanted to share the shirts I made for our family using the freezer paper stencils. I used each of our favorite colors.

Hello everyone.. I have been absent for far too long and I feel the need to explain that absence to you. I assure you I'm still very much here, alive and well! We're awaiting our Disney vacation, but man has it been crazy around here :faint:

At the end of July I was accepted to transfer from my current store to one located in the Twin Cities (about 2 hours south of Duluth). I've been wanting this for awhile now because it gets me closer to home and my family. Now... the timing is a bit unfortunate because we are to be out of our current residence in exactly a week from tomorrow. I start my new position on August 22nd. Luckily we only have a one bedroom apartment, but my absence on DIS has been in finding a new place to live and making arrangements to get us down there. Now that things are quiet outside of packing.. I have a bit more time on my hands and can return to my Disney planning.

We pack up our lives and move two hours south, then unpack only to pack again for Disney. A well-deserved vacation by the time it actually rolls around.

:thumbsup2 Anyway, glad to be be back on the boards and to see you all. We received our ME tags yesterday, but have yet to get our other documents. I hope they come this week and do not get lost in the mail forwarding!

What are the top 3-5 food/drink items you are most looking forward to at WDW? popcorn::

Me? (in no particular order...)
-Red Velvet Cheesecake Cupcake from Starring Rolls
-Dole Whip (because its talked about SO much)
-Mushroom Filet from Le Cellier with Mashed Potatoes (not risotto)
-Caramel Apple from Karamell-Kuche
-Boma and Ohana (I know, this is two in one...) These restaurants are just so highly rated.

I want to try a Dole Whip because it's talked up so much on these boards too! After going to the Dells and State Fair and paying through the nose for food, I'm looking forward to our food being FREE and my choice of snack per day! :)

Those look GREAT! You should be very proud!!

We went to the State Fair today and it was take 2 on our attempt to "practice" for Disney with the heat and being in the stroller a lot, the zoo on last Tuesday being our other attempt. Well, it wasn't hot at all either day so that didn't work but otherwise we had fun. It rained today and we got to try out our stroller's rain cover. DD loved it and called it her "tent" plus it kept her dry as an added bonus! She was pretty off her schedule today and was up til 9pm. We are lucky that she is such a flexible girl.

Plus, we came home to...MICKEY MAIL!! :dance3: However, it was only the ME stuff and not our super fancy new luggage tag mailing, which is really the fun one. Still, yay for Mickey Mail!

Thank you all for your positive words on my shirts. It's the first time I've ever done the freezer paper stencil and there are a few spots that acquired some paint that I wasn't wanting to. I love them though, because I made them! I posted them on my FB and one of my good friends says, "cute, but I can't imagine wearing them in public!" Well, that's nice because she doesn't have to. I AM! :goodvibes

Sorry about your friend's comment...some people just don't get it, but I'm glad you're proud of what you made! :goodvibes

They are very cute shirts. Don't worry what others say. When you get to Disney, you will get tons of compliments on how cute your shirts are which will more than make up for your friend's comment. :goodvibes
