we are booked in September, I have a couple of questions about the free dinning?

1. We have already booked the dining, I am assuming a bounceback is a refund on that purchase? :woohoo:

2. Can you upgade the dining package and just pay the difference? :)

I would guess that yes, you could get the regular dining package refunded, and if you want the deluxe, you would pay the difference. We added deluxe during "bounceback" and I'm paying about $32/day per adult for the deluxe add on. :goodvibes

My family has 2 rooms @ POP 31 Aug to 5 Sept..... and we are meeting friends there as well.... so we may well see you!

August 30th and 31st my son and I will be at Pop also prior to our cruise. Maybe we'll see ya!

Can you get free dining and use a discount code for the same trip?:cool1:

Though I have tried for a few years, you CANNOT get both a discount or code for the room and free dining. :confused3 They make sure of that. We just found a fantastic rate on American Airlines but cannot book because we are not sure of the free dining dates. As you may or may not know, I was told that yes, the UK DOES get the free dining code first. :hippie: We are not supposed to know ours Till late April (selective Disney Visa Card Members or random homes using a postcard) or May (Parenting magazines and a few website banners). If this was already discussed I do apologize, as I have not read these 30 pages. :surfweb: For some reason they were booked up to the 24th of Sept. Now I dont know why they wouldn't go to the 30th, but its been 2 years since I was there and got the meal plan for the full month. Rumor has it they didnt want it during the "Mickey Not So Scary Parades" (Now starting in Sept.):scared1: and the "Food And Wine Festival", popcorn:: which are very popular. Since we wanted to go when the kids were off for the Jewish Holiday (Sept. 29th & 30th) we are considering going a week earlier so we dont miss out. Keep in mind that the more people clammor for it, the more picky they will be about selective code releasing. :laundy:

when does MNSSHP start? hopefully after the 27th.. since we plan on saturday to saturday 20-27th...
The dates haven't been announced yet, but if it follows last year's schedule it would be on Friday 9/12, Friday 9/19, Friday 9/26, and Sunday 9/28.

There seems to be some speculation that it may start earlier in the month. The calendar on the Disney site shows no fireworks on a couple of days the first week so the word is there may be some kind of party.

I hope not because that messes up all my plans.

Yes, that's true. The hours aren't up yet though, not completely, so I'm trying to be patient before jumping to conclusions.

For now, though, Wishes does not appear to be scheduled on Friday 9/5, Tuesday 9/9, Tuesday 9/16, Tuesday 9/23 or Tuesday 9/30. It could be that the calendar is just not completed yet and those dates will be filled in. It could also be that they are planning additional parties. Nothing to do but wait and see I guess. :confused3

How does the Mnnshp work? Do they kick everyone out of the park that evening who doesn't buy a ticket? And if you do get tickets, how much are they and what do they include?

we are booked for Sept 21-26 leaving the 27th @ POP ;) put down the deposit, but gonna wait to pay it off incase we do get the free dining!

That'll save a good chunk off of our trip!

it's usually on a friday night or sunday night. the party officially starts at 7pm normally but they let people start getting their wrist bands at 4pm. If you have not purchased a ticket for the party and don't have a wrist band on you have to vacate the park by 7pm. If I remember correctly the party was about $35/person (for adults). I don't know the child price but it's probably about $10 cheaper. They have trick or treating, free face painting, a special parade, special fireworks and most of the rides throughout the park are open. There are decorations everywhere. It's just wonderful. Most people dress up in costumes. It's really cute and so much fun!

I'm sure when we went a couple of years ago, there were some week nights they offered the party too. We went then, to try and avoid the weekend crowds.

I think they start offering the party during the week nights in October. Last september the first two weeks of the party I remember it only being offered on Friday night. The first night for the party was Sept 14th.
