Hi Everyone,
We are planning to go on our first trip ever in Sept. 2008. I'm a little confused on how the codes work. Can I only use a code if I book directly through Disney? I was thinking about using AAA but I don't want to if some good promos are coming up. Thanks for your advice.

Hi, I am so excited!!!!!!! After reading the post I decided to call and see if I could get the 40% off. (We already had reservation at 20% off) :worship: I prayed that I would get a CM that would find the discount for me and I did! ..........

CONGRATS!!! Thanks for sharing your story. I also got the 20% discount code back in Oct as well and made reservations with it. I'm going to make a call this morning as you did! Pixie Dust...I need Pixie Dust!

The codes come directly from Disney and are linked to your name and/or email address. The offer is not from a TA, so you will book directly with Disney. Therefore, even though you know someone who received the code, you cannot use that code too. So make sure you're signed up on their website!

My mom received the 40% of code in the mail on Saturday!! So they are still being sent out!!

I think I received a discount card via snail mail a few months ago and just threw it out because we were not planning on doing a trip this year-- now I wish I would have kept it cause we have decided to go again after all.:sad2:

That's ok, I think. If you received a postcard but "don't know where you put it," you can call them and tell them and it's likely that the code is "attached" to your name in their computer. :goodvibes

246belgrade -- the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World. A very thick book, but an essential read--full of a ton of useful information. But not as critical if you're going in September, when crowds are lower. Still, you'll be happy you looked it over.

Unfortunately, not so. I called today and there was no code by my name. :( And I am certain we were mailed a code about 2 months ago. Plus, DH has the visa.

I thought I would post an update....

I did have a very helpful CM to speak to this afternoon who was willing to look me up, however, she said there were no 40% discounts for me. I'll be thankful for my 20% yet keep checking!!

I called today and booked Contemporary-- the CM offered me some type of package.....We got 7 days at CR, with park hopper- no water (we dont have time), dining package included for 2 adults and 2 children for 3400.00.
When I tryed using the disney site I was getting a price qoute of almost 3900.00 and that was without the dining so I am totally pleased and cannot wait till our first stay at the CR.

Thats good to hear..since Ive only quoted on disney.com so hopefully, from the way it sounds and from past experinces I will get a better deal once I book with a castmember over the phone!!!:rotfl:

yay!!!

one room or 2?

Both qoutes were for 1 room only-- they have 2 queen beds and a daybed in each regular room (or a king and a daybed).

I would say call! I just asked if there were any codes attached to my name because I thought I had received a post card a few months back and I threw it away-- he pulled up this package...not sure that it had anything to do with a code but It was 500.00 less than the Disney site and INCLUDED DINING...oh and MK tower view, so we will see wishes from our balcony.

Its worth a shot to give them a call. :D

Hi Scott! I hope it was a good deal-- I was just so excited that it was 500.00 less than what the online site was offering PLUS DINING that I just had to book it! When is your next visit to the world??

I have a question for AP holders. Have you done free dining well you have had an AP? I remember reading somewhere that you could still get free dining, but you had to buy a ticket. Was that ticket i day for one person or did everyone in your party have to buy a one day ticket?

Thank you in advance!

I'm not a pass holder, but I do know you have to buy at least a one day ticket for each person to recieve free dining.

Yes, that's correct. I've done free dining with an AP. Just purchase a one day base ticket for everyone in the party to qualify for the free dining package. You can save those tickets and use them for a future trip as is, or upgrade them later on, whatever you like.
