First post ever!

My DF was on the phone with Disney for almost 2 hours last night booking our DisneyMoon. He wanted a breakdown of everything, and the first CM he spoke to messed up the price, and we had to be transferred to Guest Services, and then to a new CM. Anyway, we're finally booked! I had my heart set on CSR (because DF thought the Deluxe resorts were too expensive) but they had no king rooms available for the dates. They kept trying to stick us at CBR, which I did not want because they have no restaurant, and I saw somewhere that their main pool will be under construction through September.

Long story short- we are now booked at WL for 6 nights from 9/11 to 9/17. I sold my DF by mentioning they have a breakfast buffet and that we may be able to get FD later (I have a Disney Rewards card). The other selling point is that we're doing a Disney Honeymoon Registry, and we won't be paying the full price of the trip anyway.

Did I mention this is both our first trip ever to WDW? WE ARE SO EXCITED!

Welcome to Disney. You will love your honeymoon. Enjoy your planning.

Just joining in. :)

We were supposed to be going to Disney in Feb, but we had to switch to 9/17-9/25.

We have never been in Sept, and never stayed at the AKL before, so this trip will be a whole new Disney experience for us! :goodvibes

tomorrow night.. I'm going to sit down with my sis and we are going to decide on a week in september. personally, i like to go the week of labor day but sis doesnt want the kids to miss the first day of school.

I guess we'll book soon (I wanna have it set by march) then hope they come out with a code either by then or even after..then hopefully we can apply the code to get the discount or free dining would be super! I remember in september 06 we got the best deal ever! free dining... lets hope they do it again... either way Im going for DDP.. i think its worth it no matter what.

Tried subscribing with the button within the thread, but haven't received e-mails when it gets updated :confused3

We're planning on heading down for a week in late Sept (9/27 - 10/4). DS2 will be turning 3 on 10/4 so, we want to try to get him in for on last "free" trip :thumbsup2

Still no news on any DIScounts, codes or free DDP huh? Man! Here's hoping everything falls into place :goofy:

We stayed at the WL on our honeymoon 10 years ago. Wonderful trip, and we have lots of fond memories there. Our trip was comletely paid for, as a wedding present! We didn't spend a dime, lol! Have a great time and just soak up the atmosphere! We now have 2 kids and lots of other disney trips under our belt, and the WL was at the beginning of all of that! You have a whole Disney lifetime to look forward to :bride:
 Congratulations

Here's hoping for free dining on your trip! We will be there that week as well, with 2 kids in tow! :jumping1:

I am just joining as well. Been lurking for almost a year. My first trip will be the 3rd week in Sept. We want to stay at Pop and I am praying for free dining. Just wanted to say hi.

Can someone explain theses codes? :confused3 I had a strong desire to go back to Disney (don't we all) and I'm Currently looking at Sept '08. My cousin in Missouri got a code and can't use it but they will not transfer between families. Can someone explain how the codes work and where they come from? Also, If we book now and they offer the free dinning, do we modify our current ressie or do we have to cancel and reschedule and hope that there is an openeing with the free dinning?

I read about it on another site... if i am correct...you may have received emails or maybe through regular mail a "discount code"..or maybe havent received anything but your name might be in the computer with a code attatched to it... sounds wierd but i think i understand... when I call to book I will ask if I am eligible for a discount.. I hope so!!

oh and.. the way they get your name in their system is by registering on disney.com or ordering the vacation videos..

correct me if i am wrong... i think i just conbfused myself too o.O

My name was already in there system (no code) when I called. I am guessing it was from ordering the DVD guide.

Yes this is true. While I have not received an e-mail or post card, I called and asked if there were any codes or PINs associated with my name. Come to find out, I am eligible for the 40% Room Only PIN promo. The gentleman I spoke with was extremely helpful in getting all the details of the promo for me. Turns out, however, there are a bunch of blackout dates and the window of opportunity on our deal ends the day we want to check in :headache: I guess we could change our travel dates to save a few bucks, but we really want to hit the Food and Wine Festival and MNSSHP pirate:

Still hopeful to get free DDP, but they've never offered it on the week we are looking at

Thanks everyone, and good luck.

I haven't read through all of these so I'm sorry if this was already asked...please don't flame me! If you do have a code and book with that, can you still be eligible for the free dining? Also we were thinking of using a TA, can they find out if a code is attached to your name or do you have to be the one to call and find out? I got a big almost brochure type thing in the mail saying something about 40% off but I accidentely threw it away! :headache: I don't know if that was the postcard everyone is talking about. Thanks!!!:goodvibes
Planning on going Aug 30-Sept 6...DS's first trip to Disney! :yay:

Uh Oh!!! Yes, that big brochure thing is the 40% off and you need that certain code that is attached to your name. You could try calling them. If you use the 40% off then you cannot also get the free dining if offered.

OK :sad1: thanks! For us I think the free dining would probably be a better deal. We were only planning on staying at Pop or a mod if by chance the rumor was true about only being able to book a mod for free dining. That's ok...I'll be happy to get the free dining, heck I'll be happy just to go! Haven't been since 2000 and been very unpatiently waiting to take DS on his first trip!:dance3:

I want to go in September and have a Room only code. I'd be staying a value resort. What are the chances I could get a code. Would it be mailed? Or after I make the reservation would I have to call and ask them if there was one attached to my name? If I got it in the mail, when would it be sent? TIA.

Hey, there... I am also from SW IL and looking at going down for F&W and MNSSHP! Maybe we should carpool! :thumbsup2

Hoping for free DDP too!

Wishing for a little pixie dust over here! Our 10 yr. Anniversary is Sept. 19 :lovestruc need a code so we can afford to go!

We are also planning a September trip and hoping for free dining! Our first trip was in 2006 and we got the free dining then. This time we're having a Grand Gathering with DH's sisters' families and his mom. They are all going for the 1st time and hoping for the free dining as well. I am the planner of the GG and a little stressed! :confused3
