September 2008 code watch

We already have 4 rooms booked at CR for Sept 24-28. Is there a AAA rate for room only at the CR that can be applied now. Taking 3 married children, 3 young 20's and 6 grandchildren and paying for everything! Discounts please.

I just booked a room at POFQ for Sept. 6-13. Do you just go back to whoever you booked with after a code or discount come out to see if they will honor it? Also, will they automatically set you up with free dining if it is available or do you need to contact them? Thanks

You have to call and ask to have the code/special added to your booking.The discount and or free dining is limited to each hotel - so it is important to arrange this as soon possible.

Thank you, we are very excited. My husband called yesterday and we were able to get the AAA discount for the standard rooms, we have 1 2bd suite that they can't discount. Saving us a bundle! Now we will wait and see if any AP discounts may be applied to save more. Everyone here is wonderful with information I was told it was too early for any discounts. We also booked our summer vacation and got the AAA discount.

We have booked for Sept. 25th - Oct. 4th. If a discount code does not come out until Sept. 28th (Sunday) would they apply the discount to part of the package?
It seems that if discounts that follow the trend this year, Sept 21st - Sept 27th will not have any discounts at all as it is the week in between fall dining special and the fall package special.

Can anyone let me know the details about the deal and dates for the "fall package special" from this year (when was it offered and for what dates)?
I'm aware of the free dining that went to 9/22/07 this year, and the bounceback dining that goes to 9/26/08 next year (if you booked while still at Disney).

It seems like they tend to chop weeks or days off both ends of deals each year, even when they continue it.

We're looking at late Sept or very late Sept into very early Oct (POR). Not sure that we will want or be able to switch our dates if a better deal comes out, but don't want to totally choose dates based on a special deal that may never materialize - with very unknown dates. I'd prefer going into early Oct to include the Food & Wine festival, my bday, and the Campfire on de Bayou, and hoping for slightly cooler drier weather (though I suppose a week isn't likely to make that much difference).
