I'm already renting points for 5 nights at AKV in September but am hoping for a code to add 2-3 nights. I really want to stay at Poly!

I'm planning to buy points from a DVC owner.. .if the free dining were offered, would I be able to join in?

And, if anyone would be so kind as to explain to me how it works - I've never used the dining plan.:confused3

The owner who sells/rents you points can let you know about your dining plan options.

As for free dining, that will require you pay full price for a Disney hotel stay and buy park tickets through Disney, so a DVC rental would not qualify you for free dining. Free dining is a promotion that Disney can offer, there isn't a guarantee that they will offer it. The current promotion was offered to guests staying on site during late August through this past Friday (was extend into Oct). Those booking that "Bounceback offer" had to do so before checking out, so no calling on the way home, it was too late then.

NOW FOR the DINING PLAN
1. You must buy the plan for everyone booked in the room for the entire length of the reservation. So if someone arrives late or leaves early, you still have credits for that person for the entire length of the reservation.

2. You must buy at least a one day ticket for everyone booked in the room. You can upgrade individual tickets on site, so you could adjust for an early or late arrival. Note I said upgrade, you can't down grade a ticket.

3. Your credits will be based on the number of nights and the number of adults and children booked to your room. Let's use an example:

Family: 2 Adults and one Child for 5 nights
Credits: 10 Adult TS(Table Service), 5 Child TS, 10 Adult CS(Counter Service), 5 Child CS and 15 snack credits

4. In theory you could use all of your credits on your first night. Meaning there is no daily limit as to what you can use. The credits are loaded on to your room card, so charge away.

For the best info I've read Pumbaa's Sticky at the top of the Dining Plan thread. She'll probably update it once the 2008 plan is fully published.

FREE DINING is a promo offer by WDW during Peak Hurracain Season so
that the Resorts will be filled. Disney Started this Promo after a Hurracain
which hit in the Orlando area (this scared visitors away)
to encourage visitors to come to WDW during this time.
This has become a very successful Promo and now Peak Hurracain Season
is not as slow as it used to be.

The Promo was offered for Next Sept 08 for Visitors Staying on Property this year and had to be booked with a $200.00 deposit before check out in order to qualify. If WDW Decides that there are still plenty of rooms to fill by looking at how many people took the BB promo then they will offer it 1st to
Disney Visa Holders then reevaluating the success of the DV Holders will
then offer FD to the Public.

To get the FD Promo you have to pay rack rate for your room (most resorts this is Value season room prices--which is the cheapest rack rate)
and have to buy a package with tickets, some people feel that this is not a bargin but we were able to take advantage of the FD this year and saved us almost $1000.00 dollars for 3 of us.
We were able to enjoy our trip and eat a many different
Resturants without worry of expense.

You will either find out about this promo 1st from Disney Visa (if you are a card holder) then either from the DIS boards and then on the Official Disney Website. There is a Code associated with any Promo that Disney offers
and whenever you book your trip your can add this promo Code to the
package and get the FD offer. I hope I have explained correctly and understandably.

We were so Lucky to be at WDW resort whenever the BB offer was being made so were able to take advantage of it. What surprised me that
not everyone we given this offer that was staying on the property so
this make me wonder Why it was so Hush Hush and only offered to a few?
This makes me wonder if WDW will not promote this offer as much
as they have been doing in the past years because it has become so
successful that they don't have to promote it.:confused3

Newbie here, my DH and I are going Sept 21-27, 2008 :cool1: and free dining would be a big help so i'm keeping my fingers crossed! Now i'm wondering, should I go ahead and make reservations now or wait, we plan on staying at POP and I would hate to wait for them to run the promotion only to find that all the rooms are booked :scared1:

Hey, we booked the bounce back free dining for September 2008. Because of the fantastic savings we were abe to do a mod. next year. Do you think that any of the codes will be able to beat free dining?.....

DH, DD8 and DS4 will be headed down 9/5 - 9/13. Currently booked with AAA room only rate but hoping for discount room code and/or free dining!

Whooo hoooo!

In '06 we booked our trip in early Feb. & were able to add free dining when it came out. If you plan on going reguardless, I'd book soon, IMO.

DH and I booked the bounceback for Sept. '08, while on vacation a few weeks ago. (luckily they extended it for a few extra days). I usually book thru my AAA TA, but couldn't pass up the free dining. I the past my TA booked our package and we rec'd the AAA discount and she always said if we went during a free dining period she could get that also.

But I've heard that only one discount can be used, correct?

Just wondering....if the free dining goes public this spring for Sept., Should I see if my AAA TA can book it with both discounts, then cancel our current reservation? And...if I do that, I suppose any ADRs already made will not transfer??

Subscribing :thumbsup2 We book Bounceback in 2007 for Sept 2008 but any add'tl discounts that are available would be great to know!!!!

I just booked a room at POFQ for Sept. 6-13. Do you just go back to whoever you booked with after a code or discount come out to see if they will honor it? Also, will they automatically set you up with free dining if it is available or do you need to contact them? Thanks

Suscribing and thinking about booking soon..........

I'm hoping for deals in September 2008. There were no crowds this past September and am looking foward to going again.:cool1: :wizard: :cheer2:

We are booked for Sept. but with the recent airfare price increase...that might put the cabash on the trip :(...I'm hoping with it being off season prices will be a little lower when they do release them:confused3 ...
