We have booked for Sept. 25th - Oct. 4th. If a discount code does not come out until Sept. 28th (Sunday) would they apply the discount to part of the package?
It seems that if discounts that follow the trend this year, Sept 21st -
Sept 27th will not have any discounts at all as it is the week in between fall dining special and the fall package special.

My family is going Sept. 23 - 26, 2008
3 Adults, 1 child (6 yrs. old)
CBR std room
4 one day base tickets (only buying 1 day of park tickets)
DDP

AAA quoted me $1100 Is this a good deal? Will something better come along? DU quoted me $1500. Why are they so much more. Why do I have so many questions?!

Seems a bit high for me. I booked for 9-6 through 9-13 for 2008. We are a family of 4 (2 Adults) 2 kids (3 and 9). We have an upgraded Woods view room w/ bunk beds at the WL for 8 days, 7 nights, 8 day park hopper + passes and the deluxe dining plan and our price from AAA was $3800.

Your plan indicates no dining and basic tickets, don't know, but it seems high to me.

Just a note: we got the 40% off code last year. It was out in January (think it went to March) because that's when I booked it. It was not a public code. However, they seemingly gave it to a lot of people who called CRO and aksed "is there a code attached to my name"
We took advantage of the bounceback offer for next year. Even though dining does not included gratuity or apps...the rest of it is still free. And free is good ;)

We're hoping to go Sept '08 as well. Is free dining usually associated with only certain rooms? We are considering a deluxe this time.

Subscribing too. Going to book my parents at POFQ for the same time I am there next year Sept 27th - Oct 4th and am praying for a good code or free dining. I am already booked on the Bounceback so my dining is taken care of.

The CM I spoke to the other day said they may offer free dining but the Marketing dept is still working out the details.

I too am keeping my fingers crossed for free dining. If I have a package booked with a TA will she have to change the ressie to free dining, or will I be able to call?

I'm pretty sure that the travel agent has to add the free dining to your package.

Now that the Bounceback offer has been extended, I don't know whether that'll increase or decrease the chance of free dining being offered to Disney Visa card holders and/or the general public. I hope that it IS offered!

We were at POR 9-15 through 9-23 and did receive the BB offer and
snatched it up.
Not Everyone staying at the resort was offered the BB because on casual
conversation most people had heard nothing about it.
The offer was made to us whenever we were checking into the Resort.
I was wondering why not everyone was given the offer? was it because
we have a Disney Visa?
This trip we were on the FD 2007 offer and were they only letting the people
that were already there on FD about next year?
Not sure of the reasoning.

The offer was for FD August-30-2008 thru September 2008
We had to put a $200.00 deposit before we checked out of the resort in order to
get the FD for 2008.

We were at the WL when the offer was started. We heard NOTHING about it. The boards say it was announced on Resort TV Channel but we watch a little TV as we are getting ready or winding down. (9yr old DGS wants to watch Hannah Montana, not Resort TV.) We found out about it on DIS after we were home. And after I had filled in my survey about my trip.

That being said we were at POR last December and they had boothes set up in the lobby with posters and flyers offering BB dining. Quite a difference in announcement protocol. My guess old Disney Corporate is just testing different ways of disseminating information. Let's face it, we are their guinea pigs. Hopefully they'll know I for one am not pleased with TV announcements. I'll just hope for an April 08 announcement or not go.

We are going in Sept. 2008.
I've booked a room only with AAA discount but if I can get a bigger room discount, I'm all for it! :thumbsup2

I'm planning to buy points from a DVC owner.. .if the free dining were offered, would I be able to join in?

And, if anyone would be so kind as to explain to me how it works - I've never used the dining plan.:confused3

Subscribing.

We were planning a trip to DLR for October. I've now managed to convince DH that we should also go to WDW.

We are now booked to fly to Florida on 16 Sep 2008 - It will be a long trip from Sydney Australia!! Plan to do 10 days at WDW and then 4 days at DLR on our way home as we can only fly back via LAX, so it would be ashame not to spend time at DLR.

Now I have to book our accomodation for WDW. I have no idea where to start, will have too look at the other threads.

Praying for Free Dining!!

Cheers
Angela

We were at POFQ the first week of September and were offered the BB (we had a sheet in our room when we checked in) so we booked next year for 8/30-9/6.
