September 19, 2010 - anyone?

DS3 was sent home from school after 45 minutes when he started throwing up today  I hope this means we will all be sick in the next few days and fully recovered before the cruise

Sending some "get better soon" vibes your way. Hopefully your DS is feeling much better today. :goodvibes

I know!! It's so great to be able to say "this time next week will be our last day before vacation." I can't wait!! :yay:

Just a note - Room 1067 - on the spread sheet it is right - Erik was taken off, however he is still on the map. Didn't want to get folks confused - he will NOT be on the cruise.

The countdown is going into a frenzy around here! Grand daughter Gracie is so excited about the FE stuff - she loves helping put things together!

Looks like Igor is going to head north! So let's get to packing!!! :cool1: This time next week I will be putting my packed bags on the dog scale at work to see how much I need to remove. :rolleyes1

The board is getting quieter the closer we get to sail time!... Must be all the thinking about packing and getting outta dodge!... I for one know that I keep thinking I really should start to packing NOW, with a 3 yr old and an 8 month old.. Not sure how long this is going to take... I have a lot of distractions... lol...

We will be headed to Cape Canaveral one week from today!... Getting soo excited.. Can't wait to see the look on my 3 yr old's face when he sees the ocean for the first time!...

I am getting way excited... :cheer2::banana:

i keep checking the threads and your right... so quiet. I haven't started packing yet either, but i do have several lists floating around so hopefully i'll remember everything i think i need.
Hopefully by this time next saturday night we will be seeing some mickey's in person!!!:yay::yay:

I still have so much shopping to do :scared1:, batteries, sunscreen, etc. I don't know how in the world I am suppose to get all of this done in the next week. I started packing today pulling out everyone's clothes so I knew what I needed to wash this weekend, since we will be leaving around 7am NEXT Saturday :cool1:.

I should have been planning my week next week with work so that I could finish up a bunch of projects before heading out for the week, but instead I found myself going over old navigators :rolleyes1 and deciding what were the must do's for the week. I am in so much trouble next week with work, I mean really how can my boss expect me to work next week, I have a cruise I am going on :rotfl:

not much shopping to do but the general dissaray is hitting here big time! I work all weekend and usually have Mondays off but my salon is going to a hairshow in Boston. The show is Sunday night an we havea class on Monday morning before we head home. I work all day (till 9pm) tues, hav 2 drs appt wed morning and then i have a client who lives 50 mintutes away for that afternoon.:faint: Hopefully I can chill out that night and pack up some more stuff :laundy:

You better get started, cause we are about ready to go! :drive: Do I need to come over and help you pack??? popcorn:: I just need to reorganize the bags, get them to work and weigh them, and get something to wrap up the FE gifts. 4 more days of work and then we're outta here! Oh yeah btw we'll be at your house next Sat. morning at 430am. :wave2: Seemed easier just to have our ride meet us there and hopefully leave at the same time.

I've started to pack. I need to get things organized first though. Does anyone have any idea what the 3-1-1 rule is? All these restrictions are very confusing and I need to figure out what to pack and where to put it. I know we cannot have more than 3oz of liquids in our handbags but are we really only allowed 1 ziplock bag? :confused3

You can have more than one 3oz liquid bottle, but all bottles containing any liquid must be placed into one ziplock bag and removed from your carryon during security check in, and x-rayed seperately. I would suggest if you are thinking toothpaste, hair spray, shampoo, etc....just put them in a ziploc bag in your checked baggage. Other items like baby formula and medications can exceed the 3oz rule but still within limits. I also believe that liquid containers, except for breast milk or medications, must be in a new sealed factory sealed bottle? :confused3 Someone please correct me if I'm wrong on this.

Another suggestion, or at least what we plan on doing. We're just going to take a cab to the Walmart at the port and buy items such as toothpaste, hairspray and things like that. It will free up space and weight in our bags, plus I usually forget something important anyway and need to run out and get it.

We leave wed nite to head to dallas - fly to Orlando early Thursday. Just got finished with all the packing. Need new sunscreen but other than that we are good to go! Epcot and Harry potter - here we come! See y'all on the ship! I will check in but will be out of touch before we get on the ship. :)))

After a lovely 3 weeks with no travel for work, I'm headed to Boston Tue through Thur this week. Home friday but working, then we leave for FL Saturday morning. Deep breath and awesome vacation, then home to NC on Saturday... Just in time to fly to Chicago Sunday night!!! :scared1:

My house is a disaster, I spent the whole day doing laundry, ironing, and packing, and I have no clue how I'm going to get it all done....

All that complaining aside, I am SO excited for our first DCL cruise! HoorAy!
:dance3:

Hi, everyone!! We are getting so close to our cruise. Of course, DH worked all weekend and is going to continue to be working like crazy up until the last possible minute. We always seem to be dealing with pre-trip drama (last year, the entire Metro Atlanta area was literally flooded the week before we left) and I just wish that one time we could have an easy go of it. We did get our FE gifts this weekend, though. I was planning on making something cool, but just ran out of time, so I bought something instead. Anyway, I hope that everyone has a great last week before vacation. :goodvibes

WOW! I can't believe how close we are! Woohoo!!
My DH and I took a trip up to Bowling Green this past weekend to visit family and attend a concert. We got back last night, and boy am I tired this morning. Neither one of us wanted to get up this morning, so we were both late to work! When I get off today I have lots to do waiting for me at home! Shouldn't be too bad, though! We haven't packed anything yet, but plan to start that tonight as well. Thankfully, I'm taking Friday off, so I'll be able to tie up any lose ends then, before we leave on Saturday. I am so excited to meet all of you onboard!!:thumbsup2 I hope everyone has a great week!:)

This weekend did not go as well as I was hoping, DH went to help his sister with her bathroom remodel this weekend and when he went to leave Home Depot his car would not start, battery was completely dead :scared1: $195 later and he was back on the road, the only good thing about this is that I am much happier it happened this weekend versus next weekend when we stop off of 75 somewhere. Then DH wanted a couple of shirts for the trip went out shopping this weekend with no luck on finding him anything he was looking for .. So now we have planned to stop off in Orlando on the way down to do some shopping at the outlet malls!! I have been trying all morning to do some work, but I just want to be on vacation. The week before vacation is always the hardest for me. I always go into with good intentions and then I get nothing done :sad2: I can't believe it is only 5 days until we leave :yay: I am so excited for our first cruise

I know what you all mean!.. I have sooo much to do, I don't even know where to start.. I have outfits for my boys that I bought just for the trip, that I can just throw in. Trying not to wear any clothes that I want to take on the trip because I do not want to have to do a bunch of laundry so I have things to take.. Looks like bum clothes for me this week!.. lol..

I will probably still be remembering things that I need to pack up until the time we leave to go to the airport!... As much as I try to get a head start, I just don't seem to be able to..

Well, guys, DH just dropped the horrible news on me that he isn't going to be able to go on the cruise due to work. He is pushing me to just take DD and have fun without him (after all, he won't be home anyway because he'll be flitting from jobsite to jobsite), which is what I'm leaning towards now. However, the thought of not having him with me is just so depressing so I'm still back and forth about whether to cancel the trip and hit the trip insurance. This sucks, sucks, sucks, sucks. :sad1:

I say pack your bags and go!.. But that is just.. I am sure he feels bad enough that he can't go with, but it might make it worse if you don't go and enjoy yourself with your DD.. And, if he won't be home anyways, you will still be without him, so either way your gonna miss him!.. I guess there is no way to transfer his fare to someone else that can go with you?
