Alex, very interesting about the low-pressure effect on deliveries. I for one am a believer in the full moon causes crazy things.

Water temp was 58’.
:cold: :cold:
Temp is now 28 here. Time to winterize the camper.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

Well the heat Kicked on , here just north of Boston for the first Time time this season ! Would have Gone on last night, But we had a Birthday party for our 13 year old niece and one of the kids turned off the emergency swirtch... so it was just 50 something in the house when I arrived home in the morning. Jenn was ok though. but was wondering why the heat did not go on.

Another week of 11 to 7 this week (long story) !
But anyways, I dont mind the shift since there is more money involved.

But still enjoy the days best.

Tracy how many days until ? :sunny: Good Morning to Everybody Else!

Greetings from Bedrock and Wilma Watching Central.....

Scott: Brrrrrrrrr :cold: So sorry to hear about all of you in the north getting cold weather.
If you would rather trade it for hurricane central... we are at 86º and :sunny: at the moment. You would never think that there is a hurricane lurking out there....heading towards us like a rocket according to the news....:rotfl2:

All the shutters are up..... went to Wine Warehouse to get our hurricane supplies, :drinking1 so we are all set. Thank God we can get the Steeler game on another cable channel because all the local channels are already on 24/7 Wilma coverage.....

GO STEELERS!!

To everyone in the path of Wilma, stay safe and hope for a speedy recovery. Mike

Just checked the National Hurricane Center, and I am glad we have yet to build on our lot in the Punta Gorda area. Sounds like Leslie and Joe have the right idea as how to reason with the season.

Today was rather productive, garage cleaned out, snow blower in position, camper winterized, batteries out of the motorcycles, SCUBA class taught, and the dogs walked, time for some dinner.

Okay guys I need all your help.

My Mom is watching CNN and they are talking about Hurricane Wilma and Mom just informed me that she wants me to cancel our 11 day cruise....she said she is very scared to sail during hurricane season after seeing the destruction of Katrina and now they are saying Wilma may be more destructive...I must admit I am a little scared as well.

What do I do...how can I convince her that it will be okay...it will be okay, right????

O.K. Elaine, we have cruised during huricane season. Last week of september to be exact. There was a huricane, but the captain and crew kept track of it and we never was even close to it.
We should have no problems.

Besides, you have to bring the Ice Wine. :)
So you and your mom have to go.

Hi guys... :wave2:

Hate to tell you that I just had to cancel our cruise with you guys. So the Walt Suite is available if you want to bite the bullet and go all the way!

DD won't be able to miss that much school. :teacher:

Hope you guys have a WONDERFUL sailing though!

Kendra

Sorry to hear about that.

BTW, how is little Belle?
After a summer of struggling, Tippy is doing pretty good.

Heidi, Bob had it in his signature so I just stole it :rotfl2: Thanks Bob for putting it in your signature so that us lazy people could make our posts look better. Four days at sea will make for a relaxing cruise. Mike

Great countdown isn't it? E-mailed the author of the webpage and suggested being able to enter the time of departure. He e-mailed back and said that he had made that modification. Really nice guy. Fellow hoosier.
Anway, for the time select 1400. Don't know why that works. Something to do with GMT and EST and ......

:rolleyes1 Feelin' tired,
then I got inspired
I knew that it wouldn't last long

Everyone in the storm's way take care. We'll all be thinking about you.

Have a good week. :sunny:

Thank you everyone for your kind words (and words of encouragement) about cruising during Hurricane Season.

I have read all your messages to Mom and I think I have her convinced that everything will be okay...I think I even saw a smile when I said the worst that could happen was that we got a few extra days onboard!!!!!

Bob....yes, if we have a wine tasting onboard, I will bring a bottle of Niagara's finest Ice Wine with us.

Thanks again everyone....

Scott and Lynn,

With Charlie and now Wilma - when you do build in Punta Gorda the building codes will be even tighter than they are now - shutters and concrete block with get you through a pretty strong storm - after spending a January in Florida you might take a lower category hurricane over a 35degrees day in October without even thinking about it. Same situation in Jupiter as with DisneyPinDiva - hotter than hades here and the fridge is very well stocked. :drinking1 My crazy DH is hoping for at least a few hours w/out power so he can justify the $$$ spent on the generator :teeth: Right now it is sort of like a snow day up north - t will just be a little louder, windier and hotter. More than a cat. 3 different story - also different if you are in a flood zone or an old wood house or trailer. We decided if we lose power and Orlando fares well we are headed up to the mouse for at least a day visit. :earsgirl:

Hi guys....
I just got back from Florida last night- wow, I had not seen rain like that since Massachusetts!

I just got caught up on the boards....you all were busy last week. Talking about school- I am planning on presenting Noah's school with a planned educational worksheet. Things that will we will do, in addition to anything they send with us- I'll let you know how it works. I won't be doing this until later in the school year.

Remind me to post a photo of Noah from the halloween party- he went as Darth Mal- oh my goodness my little sweet boy looked like satan. :rotfl2:

Goodness.

Hope everyone has a great week!
Celeste

Looks like south FL is getting hit. Our thoughts are with you guys. Hang in there.

If we do build on our Punta Gorda property, we are looking at a concrete geodesic dome. They have a very good track record with storms. I think I would drive the neighbors nuts as I would paint a dome for the various seasons. i.e. like a pumpkin for fall, snowball for winter, Easter egg etc....could be fun but I hate to paint.

That property is currently on the market and will see what happens if it sells.

We already have a generator, as in the past we used to get some power outages.

I haven't posted much lately ... various reasons.

Just read the newsletter and must say ... GOOD JOB TRACY!  (You may remember me for the name tags for the Cruisetoberfest that I did for "Mr Whipple")

OMG it is so nice to be HERE with people that are agreeable and civil! If you go to one of the other Disney boards you'll need to be wearing an armor. :earseek:

Hope anyone in Florida is safe and doesn't get too much damage from the
hurricane's. I feel bad for some of the ports of call that got blown apart.

Our weather forecasters are talking the 4 letter work ... S*N*O*W Flurries either tonite for tomorrow! :earseek: But I guess it's better than the hurricanes.

Back to Work ....

Cathy, of course I remember you! How is Art doing? He looked good in Papa's pictures. :goodvibes

I may be reading between the lines but are you volunteering to do name tags for this cruise? :teeth:

Back to work for me too! Good seeing you posting again!

Tracy

The surprise party is over and I can now concentrate on other things - like cruising.

The martini bar was a HUGE success and I have enough vodka (in every flavor) and mixers left over to host every party from now through New Years Eve. I really do want to host a martini tasting on the cruise because I played bartender at my event and know how to make 10 varieties of martini. :) Do you think we could do this on Deck 7 Aft Deck?

Everyone stay safe weather wise - hurricanes, snow, rain or just cold weather.

Do you make Vanilla Martinis? They are so yummy!

Art's doing well Tracy, thank's for asking. He just gets tired easily but outwardly he's healed.

We had an absolute great time with Mike & Kathy -- PaPa. They took us all over Nashville and parts south. At Jack Daniel's we met BetteMom's twin sister ... really if there was ever one she was it. As nice as Bette too.
Even had a cruise town the river at night on a Paddle Wheel boat ... it may not have been Disney but it was great to do with such good friends and family.

Tracy ... Send me a PM or e-mail about doing the nametags.

BTW (Back to work)
