Cheryl, I think some meatloaf, steak fires, pinto beans, and applesauce would be good. Along with some cornbread and sweet tea. Mike

Had the Meatloaf earlier in the Week..

But just had some chic. parm Calazone...

:cool1:

Well we survived the race, Lynn finished 2nd in her division and I finished 5th. It was hot but we had fun. We will definitely be doing this again. The event was called Super Saturday, local Parks and Rec sponsored, lots of community involvement. Lots of vendors, social groups, volunteer groups, and Debbie I stopped by the Red Cross, just to help out $$.

Looks like the next event will be the Race for the Cure. August 11th.

Had a pulled pork BBQ sand for lunch. Hot and sunny here today. Time to stay inside till it cools off. Hope you all are having a great weekend. I got some dry wall to patch so that be an afternoon project.

Good Evening All!
Was a great weekend!:thumbsup2
Lee's parents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
Low key celebration last night.

Weather was nice over the weekend with just a little bit of rain.

One more week until summer shutdown vacation.
I really don't like being off over the 4th, but a vacation is a vacation.

Hey Mike the dinner sounds great. After all that I ate this weekend, I should be eating salads for the next month! Best meal over the weekend (for me) was the fried perch/fried chicken/pizza buffet that I had friday night.:cool1:

and Scott.....great news on the 5k. Not to be disrepectful, but what was the time. My best is 27+ minutes. Need to get back into training.

Hope everyone has a great week.

hey Bob non taken 33:02, Hey we are at 6600 ft, well that is my excuse,LOL, will try to better it in August.

WE could be really naughty and ask him WHEN he did that last 5K....:rolleyes1

I think your time is very respectable. 10 minute miles is very good. Running at altitude stinks! Doing the Salt Lake half marathon was SO much harder for me than anything I had done here or in FL- the air is SO thin. Even without altitude- 10 minute miles is good.

Yes altitude makes ya suck :lmao: :lmao: air that is:lmao: :lmao:

If I recall correctly the ambient PSI at 6000 ft is about 11.78 psi, my good dive books are in the basement in a box LOL or I could get more specific. Sea Level is 14.7psi. :teacher: :teacher: amazing how much of a difference it makes, but the reverse should help us for the CA and FL events. (Found Dive Books and corrected)

The naughty doesn't surprise me.:sad2:

But for the record, it was 13 months ago.
Been for the most part, lazy. Some aches and sprains and a nast repo cold.
Scott has embarassed me, so I will have to kick it up a notch. BAM!

That 5k was at the Baptist church. Those are the good ones. Lots of homemade baked goodies afterwards.

Mike, what to do for dinner on a HOT night like tonight? :lmao: ;)

How about some grilled chicken tenderloins, cut up and served on top of a nice salad. For dessert I recommend some nice sliced cantaloupe , or chilled canned pineapple chunks or tidbits. Sweet tea if you are in the south:lmao: or Rosa Regala maybe?? Never had it before. Mike

You have never had the Rosa Mike???

Nah if it does have a screw top it is out of my price range:lmao: :rotfl2: Like Sutter Home White Zinfandel. Peter was asking for some thing on a hot day.

We are going to Shoney's tonight. They have the breakfast bar on the buffet tonight. Mike

Went to see Evan Almighty tonight. It was OK, but I don't think that I would pay to see it again.

Peter tomorrow's menu is homemade chicken and dumplings, whole kernel corn, and turnip greens with a skillet of cornbread. Mike

Mike..gotta love the screw tops..so easy to keep a bottle in the fridge rather than having to recork. Screw tops are suppose to be the way of the future..it is going to take a while for people to get used to the idea though.

Try these if you and Kathy like wine (with screw tops). Virgins Shiraz and Chardonnay..they are both fantastic..good price. I think we pick them up at Super Target or our local grocery store (publix).
