okay...I do have the vodka in the freezer....can you put rum in the freezer? Is rum better if it's "frozen"????

you can keep anything in the freezer if it over 80 Proof. If you keep it in the freezer, you do not need ice...we all know what ice does, it melts and then waters down the drink.

Yes, I am this far behind - but, I am skipping around!!

I'm one of those people that Holiday shops all year long. I see something I think might be nice for someone I get it. I don't like the pressure of last minute shopping. And I never buy anything I don't like myself. I complained to Lamar last year about him shopping at the last minute for Christmas, well he did get the part about not buying anything that you don't like yourself. He bought me a beautiful left handed fishing pole BTW I don't fish. We still laugh about that one.
Last year the year of the big exception
I bought him the full size authentic replica leg lamp from "A Christmas Story", thinking he would laugh and immediately send it back. WRONG! He displayed it right in the front window for the entire neighborhood to see. Fishnet stockings and all. Now I will have to live with it every year.

I'm actually done with Santa Claus shopping already - got the bike (Power Rangers of course), action figures, etc. etc. TV - he is going to be a very happy little boy!!

Sorry to hear about the Leg Lamp - that is the funny thing about giving practical jokes to some guys - they just don't see the joke, they just think it's KEWL (snagged Scott's word for this)!!

Thanks! Actually I got the idea out of a magazine , and partly from the color of my grandfathers old house in Springfield, Mass- so I guess the New England influence is definitely there. Our house had cedar siding that everyone thought we were crazy for painting over but it just blended inwith the rest of the neighborhood. I like this much better. When we get the yard done and my little fence put around it I think it will look exactly like the cottage I've dreamed of. Dive in, take a chance-the great thing about paint is you can always paint it back. You should see our interior walls. Every room is a different color. Kev went to Sherwin Williams to pick up MORE paint the last time we were home and the guy in there told Kevin to save money-Not to let me watch HGTV anymore I can't stand plain white walls. I'm a weirdo, I know.

PIT - I think it looks great also!! It looks pretty secluded as well. I'm like you - I don't like white walls, and I don't like letting the light in....I love dark colors, muted, with some burgundy thrown in mostly!

We have a great trip coming up ! not a B2AB Could not swing that, $, time off.. so on.
Allthought, I dont know if anyone reads T's other thread for her 7 night cruise ?
(there are some nice people we met last May) There have been several offers. that if I could get the time.
I could not refuse.
